Oh we don't have a nation with the power & wealth in the hands of the few in America?

I think if you we to go around the world & study government closely you would see the far right holding the most wealth & power.

In America the left has a bit stronger voice. There is some power & wealth here that the right don't have & they want it all.

You will be faced with your disillusions until you realize where the money you keep looking for really is.

It is sad that you are so lacking in understanding of just how awesome God is! God rejoices in His creation of mankind - so why shouldn't I rejoice in the fact that God loves me? One immutable fact is: If God did not love me, I would not be here -nor would I have any affection or affiliation with Him. No Rose, it is not 'puffing myself up' to celebrate and to acknowledge that "I am beautifully and wonderfully made - and in His image."
I know that man often fears that which he doesn't understand. You bash and try to discourage my celebration because you don't have the same level of understanding of God that I have. No, I don't fault you for this fundamentally, you just need to study more, and ask God to open your eyes to His t***h. Quit spending so much time trying to deny those who know and love the Lord, while defending those who show you everyday that they are not believers and nor do they care.

It is great that you love God & he loves you.
Religion is a personal issue & we all have views on that.
It is my thought that we need not get into having that issue discussed on this site.

Through out history religions have not see eye to eye.
With that thought in mind I say we have enough issues to divide us now as we need on this site.
We need to find issues that draw us together more.

So you are into the Obama Wealth Redistribution program !

The old story everyone has to be equal !

I bet you are far richer than many folks in the area you live in so are you taking your wealth and giving it to folks that are poorer than You so that they can be equal with you ?

If one works hard and manages right and becomes wealthy then the government has to come in and take that wealth away and give it to those that didn't have the drive nor desire to do the same thing !

For me If someone has $10 million they got from working hard and legally I say more power to them I have no problem with them !

If a rich person decides to give his money to the one's less off then that is his right to do so but it isn't the governments right to do it !

Floyd, kindly look up the definition of DEMOCRACY or a DEMOCRATIC NATION and get back to me on that.

We are a Republic, not a Democracy, might want to look up a Constitutional Republic while you're at it.

In the mean time I suggest you go back in hiding so as not to show your ignorance. Mike

Each of us has a different view on what sort of government we live under.

In general there is a wish for most of us to live under a government that offers
each of us the greatest amount of personal freedom.
To many democracy is the term most often used.

If one would like to hear the closest term to what we live under now.
It could well be called f*****m.

To many live in a cocoon of beliefs they have created for them self.
Shutting out a reality they don't want to face.

Can we not use that free will in joining others?

What better way to live life that peacefully engage with each other to find the t***h of what we should believe?
Are we all here with that thought in mind?
It is by using our voices & actions to impact what we want. (Or like to see or have)

What I would like you to see is that having a system of taxing labor more than taxing money made on investments means just what we are seeing today in the economy.

Where we are to day is a result of tax laws that favor money & those that have the most.
Wages have not keep up with the increase in production over the last 40 plus years.
We are no faced with a few controlling most of the wealth.
Unless there are changes made in how we tax money the concentration of wealth in fewer hands just keeps growing.
As there is less money with the poor the presser to get passing the money to the top.
Has resulted in a shrinking of the midclass.

Just so all you bright right wings who think you will be one of the few keep supporting the system as it is. Before to much longer most now in the middle will join the poor.

It is just like the frog don't jump out of the water as it gets hotter.

As I understand it the those chosen are not legally bound to v**e for what any political party may want.

Before we get to the E*******l College, can we talk about Alexander Hamilton?

As a political figure, Hamilton was volatile, mercurial, choleric, vindictive, conniving, disloyal, and incontinent; those personal flaws eventually led to his death in a duel with Aaron Burr. We remember him because he was also smart, creative, dashing, and decisive. And if you’d had a case in front of a New York court, he’d have been the lawyer to hire. Brilliant doesn’t do justice to his advocacy sk**ls.

But an advocate is what he was. If he were a car salesman today, he could convince you that you really don’t want the backup camera in your family minivan, because this baby here knows not to back into walls.

It’s in that context that we should read his panegyric, from “Federalist No. 68,” to the “mode of appointment of the chief magistrate of the United States” by the e*****rs, a “small number of persons, selected by their fellow-citizens from the general mass, [who] will be most likely to possess the information and discernment requisite to such complicated investigations.” The e*****rs, he assured us, will be “men most capable of analyzing the qualities adapted to the station, and acting under circumstances favorable to deliberation, and to a judicious combination of all the reasons and inducements which were proper to govern their choice.”

Liberal billionaire couple seeks to ‘change the country’

You might not have heard of them, but billionaires John and Laura Arnold have given millions of dollars to liberal politicians and causes in recent years. Several years ago, Laura Arnold told a Houston newspaper that “at the most basic level, the mission is to change the country… So we ask in what areas…can we make the biggest impact? We’re open to doing anything.” She went on to say, “We think of ourselves as sort of R&D for the country… A kind of laboratory for the country. We pick the idea up, wh**ever it is, and make it happen by wh**ever means necessary.” Just who is this power couple, and what have they been funding?

John Arnold made his massive fortune as a hedge fund boss. Shortly after the Texas native graduated from Vanderbilt, he went to work for Enron. He traded natural gas derivatives at Enron and earned an $8 million bonus just before the company went bankrupt. With this bonus money, he set up his hedge fund, Centaurus Advisors, and hired former Enron traders. His fund was so successful that he was able to retire a billionaire at the age of 38.

Laura Muñoz Arnold also has an impressive resume. She was born in Puerto Rico and moved to Florida as a child. She graduated from Harvard, received her law degree from Yale, and received a master’s degree from Cambridge. She then worked as a corporate lawyer and as an oil industry executive.

Over the past dozen or so years, the Arnolds have been trying to “change the country” by supporting liberals and liberal causes. John Arnold was a bundler for Obama and has given over $130,000 to Democrats over the past year or so; Laura Arnold has given over $50,000 to Democrats over the same time period. The Arnolds also funded an effort to redistrict two states with Republican legislatures. The Arnolds have also contributed a total of more than $5 million to the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), the Center for American Progress, and the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC).

Another way the Arnolds tried to “change the country” was by funding a secret spy plane to provide surveillance photos of Baltimore in an effort to solve crime. Using two different foundations, the Arnolds paid hundreds of thousands of dollars to a company that brought battlefield technology to the home front. While there might be a reasonable case for deploying such technology, the community should have had a say in the decision. Instead, the Baltimore Police quietly approved the pilot program without even bothering to inform the mayor or city council members. After months of surveillance, news of the program broke. Many people were displeased, and the program was halted. The Arnolds have offered to pay millions of dollars for an expanded surveillance program using three planes, but the city has so far not accepted the offer. Maybe next time, the Arnolds should take the time to talk to the people they are trying “help” before proceeding to fund another controversial program.

What was the Arnolds’ response to the controversy? Laura told a local Baltimore newspaper that, “As supporters of the ACLU we deeply recognize the concerns and the tradeoffs that need to be made on privacy… Not only do we fully respect and support that process; for us, we don’t see it as a contradictory thing. We should have this conversation.” She is correct that there should be a public discussion whenever the government decides to use new surveillance technology – but that conversation should be had before the new surveillance program is begun, and not afterward.

It is a shame that the Arnolds, who have benefitted so richly from our country, would fund those working so hard to take away our constitutional rights and destroy the American dream. With billionaires like George Soros, Michael Bloomberg, Tom Steyer, Pat Stryker, and Rob McKay all funding the detrimental l*****t agenda, the last thing the country needs is a billionaire couple dumping even more money into the Left’s coffers.

I have for many years heard that the Republican where the rich American's. Well seems that is another lie.

Just look at George Soros, Mike Bloomberg, Tom Steyer, Jeff Bezos, Mark Zuckerberg all are billionaires. All give huge sums of money to the C****e Left.

C****e left or f*****t right. That leaves very little room for a democratic nation.
Is it truly wrong to be a liberal & wish to have a democratic nation.

To set in stone just what being an American is.
