Can the president order a military strike without congressional approval?
The War Powers Resolution https://tinyurl.com/sf5mufr requires the President to notify Congress within 48 hours of committing armed forces to military action and forbids armed forces from remaining for more than 60 days, with a further 30-day withdrawal period, without a Congressional authorization for use of military force (AUMF).

Key words here are "Notify Congress within 48 hours". President Trump complied. Then question for me and I suppose a lot of people in this country is: Why do some people think it is illegal for this President to take military action, in this case, preventative military action when he deems necessary? A known terrorist was taken out and there are problems with that? What would you have said if the terrorist general struck New York or L.A.? Hey no fair, you didn't ASK first?

11 reasons why some people oppose universal health care..

Read them slowly so you get the full importance of each reason..

Yes, this is another excerpt from a Quora post.

I don't want universal healthcare for the following reasons:

I don't want universal healthcare because that would mean a little higher taxes for everyone. No thanks. I would much rather pay $500.00 per month on health insurance premium with a deductible of $5,000.00, $7,000.00 or $10,000.00. That's okay, as long we are not paying more taxes to the government. Because that would be socialism and socialism is evil.
I don't want universal healthcare because I don't want those moochers stealing from me. I don't want to subsidize people who lead unhealthy lives. Never mind that hospitals would charge more from people with insurance to make up for shortfalls from people without insurance. That's okay, as long as they are hurting themselves more than me, I'll be satisfied.
I don't want universal healthcare because I want choices. I want to have the choice of only using the health insurance provided by my employer. I want to have the choice of only having cancer coverage but not heart attack. I want to have the choice of only using providers within my health insurance network and pay a lot out of pocket for using a specialist outside my network. I want to have the choice of having a plan with $5,000.00 deductible instead of a plan with $0.00 deductible. I’d much rather have that than to have only one choice that is cheaper and would give me the freedom of using any doctor, any hospital I want for any treatments with no deductibles and copays.
I don't want universal healthcare because I don't want to use the ambulance to get to the emergency room. I would much rather use Uber for $30.00 and hope I don’t die in the car than take the expensive ambulance with all the necessary medical equipment. Universal healthcare would include fully covered ambulance service. That's okay, I would rather rely on Uber or Lyft than pay a little more in taxes.
I don't want universal healthcare because that would include dental, optometry, and audiology. Why have that when you can get that in Mexico for cheaper prices?
I don't want universal healthcare because I want to make the Canadians jealous. I want them to be jealous that we pay 10x more for insulin than them.
I don't want universal healthcare because I don't want a big government. I want to pull myself up by my bootstraps. If I lose my job and get sick, I could end up bankrupt and homeless. That's okay because I'm smart enough and strong enough to pull myself up by the bootstraps.
I don't want universal healthcare because I don't want the goverment to decide what to pay. I rather have my (strictly for-profit) insurance company decide what they cover and what they don't cover than to have the government cover everything.
I don't want universal healthcare because I believe in the free market. Everyone should take care of themselves. The goverment should stay out of healthcare. It is up to the individual to bargain for a good insurance plan. It is up to the individual to negotiate their own medical bill. It is up to the individual to argue for hours about what is covered and what is not covered. I'm sure individuals can always negotiate a better price than the government.
I don't want universal healthcare because that would be too expensive. Medicare for All would cost $32 trillion over the next 10 years. I would rather keep our current system that will cost $49 trillion over the next 10 years.
I don't want universal healthcare because I believe America is an exceptional country. We spend 18% of our GDP on healthcare yet have 30 million uninsured and 50 million more under insured. We have 530k people medically bankrupt per year. We have 45k people die prematurely every year due to not having health insurance. Why be like those darn socialist countries in Europe that spends 10% of their GDP on healthcare and have comprehensive healthcare for every citizen and no medical bankruptcies?
11 reasons why some people oppose universal health... (show quote)

I don't want universal healthcare because we already have a universal healthcare system of in place for 9 million Veterans that doesn't work; so I don't think it would work for today's population of almost 330 million with a projected population of 438 million in 2050. Come on folks - the history lesson is NOW for any universal healthcare system. Do some research on wait times, etc. in country's that have NHC systems in place. AND, they're run by bureaucrats instead of doctors.

Yet, it appears that she can compromise and look at other points of view without invoking identity politics. In a few years, could this women be the leader of the Democrat Party in the mold of Tip O’Neil? It is unfortunate that we don’t seem to have rational folks in the Senate. She and Rand Paul have introduced a bill titled “Stop Arming Terrorist Acts”. Following Regime Change, Americans Will Be Starved Into Submission
Submitted by Dave Hodges on Friday, October 18, 2019

“If people let government decide what foods they eat and what medicines they take, their bodies will soon be in as sorry a state as are the souls of those who live under tyranny.” Thomas Jefferson

Last night a source, a friend, called to wish a family member happy birthday. The source was a former high-ranking military officer with strong intelligence connections. His credentials are important because they speak to the fact that he has been, and remains, the best source I have had. In the course of our conversation, I asked him about President Trump and his future. He said that assassination is at the bottom of the decision tree for the g*******ts because they want to avoid producing a rallying point for Americans who are not awake to the tyranny that has overtaken our nation. But he also said that the Deep State is fast approaching the this option. I asked him if they were going to k**l Trump, how they would do it and he said through a mass casualty event because nobody is going to believe the old worn-out cover story of a lone-nut assassin with diary stating what they were going to do. The source went on to say that Trump will definitely not be in power when the t***sitional government comes into being. I asked him how the people would be controlled since there would be obvious resistance. The source stated the following:

"You can't fight if you are not eating. The weather wars we are witnessing are all about attacking the potential food supply. Americans are going to be starved into submission. The most concerning aspect of these weather modification wars is that it is coming from the Trump administration and he is not in control. Trump does not likely know where the attacks are originating from. This is the most c*********d administration in history. Why do you think so many intel and top level officers are retiring to places like the Ozarks? They know what is coming. You have covered it before, Dave, Operation Mountain Guardian. The people will be forced to come to camps to eat after their cities are encircled by foreign troops in a Continuity of Government action. Some of these people like you, are not coming out of these camps. One more thing, revisit Executive Order 13603. This was to have been the control mechanism that Obama was to hand off to Clinton when she became President. This would give her ultimate control over the people. My intel says that weather wars is not the only attack upon the food, we are also going to observe a direct bio-attack upon the food supply as well and very little will grow. Starvation will be planet-wide, not just here, but it will be most in evidence here in America. Some think that Trump will be removed through impeachment and Pence will follow. As I said, if impeachment does not produce the desired result, look for a mass casualty event to do the job. Pelosi will be sworn in and Hillary appointed to be VP. Very quickly, Pelosi will resign and Hillary will become President. I know I told you this a year ago, but this option appears to be the best way to effect a regime change. Very quickly, you will not recognize this country. The people will be rendered helpless due to famine. Tell the people, Dave. They must store food and water and they better learn to hide it. If you think all this talk about cannibalism is just talk, think again. Dave, please tell the people again about Executive Order 13603 because it is what Hillary will use to subjugate all of us. This starvation practice is the most effective because it is much more efficient than going dood-to-door. This whole process has a timetable and it is 2020. The useful i***ts party cannot win an e******n. A political takeover is not possible through the e******n process..."

I was allowed to record the conversation so I could accurately t***scribe this message, so long as I destroyed the recording when I completed the transcription. If I was on the outside looking in, I would be skeptical that it is going to get this bad. However, this is the same source that gave me the attempted B******i c**p. It is the same source that told me how many of our political leaders are being blackmailed because of their bedroom habits and this was years before most had heard of Epstein. The following is what he was alluding to.

The lessons of history clearly demonstrate that dictatorial regimes, whether they be Socialists, C*******ts, and Marxists will not hesitate to use food as a weapon against their own people in order to solidify power and impose absolute autocratic control. Food can be withheld from the masses by preventing it from being grown and harvested, by contaminating it and rendering it unfit for human consumption or by simply preventing food from being distributed to a targeted population. The two most notable examples of dictators using food as a weapon in order to destroy the free will of their people comes from the regimes of Stalin and Hitler. Josef Stalin engaged in his own Soviet style Holocaust when, in 1932 and 1933, and estimated six to 20 million people in the Ukraine died from starvation when Stalin implemented his prescription of “hope and change” policies in order to eliminate the Ukrainian's desire for becoming their own nation-state.

Upon assuming power, the Stalinist C*******t regime rapidly nationalized the food industry and forced all of the region's farms into collectives. Thus, Stalin's version of the Holocaust came to fruition in what history has dubbed, the "Holdomor," in which millions perished in only a two year period when the Soviet government began to exterminate the Ukrainian population by taking control of food and food production.

Hitler proclaimed that food could be used as a tool "...to discipline the masses" and he did not hesitate to use the control of food as a type of carrot and stick in which he would reward accomplishment and punish failure as well as to ferment preferential class distinctions in which his armed forces received the largest food ration cards.

Sk**led workers who were engaged in industries critical to the building of the German war machine, received food ration cards which were slightly less in value. And, finally, the prisoners and the Jews received the lowest valued N**i food ration cards. Food ration cards were also utilized as incentives to increase industrial production and were also increased in value when productive N**i workers would be promoted. Food ration cards were diminished in value for the failure to meet N**i production goals. Hitler's use of what psychologists refer to as classical conditioning techniques reduced the will of the German population to a pack of Pavlovian dogs who were conditioned to be totally dependent upon the government for their survival.

The use of food by the U.S. government has been a matter of official U.S. government covert policy since 1974-1975. In December, 1974, National Security Council directed by Henry Kissinger completed a classified study entitled, "National Security Study Memorandum 200: Implications of Worldwide Population Growth for U.S. Security and Overseas Interests." The study was based upon the unproven claims that population growth in Lesser Developed Countries (LDC) constituted a serious risk to America's national security. In November 1975 President Ford, based upon the tenets of NSSM 200 outlined a classified plan to forcibly reduce population growth in LDC countries through birth control, war and famine. Ford's new national security adviser, Brent Scowcroft, in conjunction with CIA Director, George H. W. Bush, were tasked with implementing the plan and the secretaries of state, treasury, defense, and agriculture assisted in the implementation of these insane genocidal plans. NSSM 200 formally raised the question, "Would food be considered an instrument of national power? When we look at what Obama did, the answer is an unqualified yes.

What is coming is a contrived famine. Former President Obama's Executive Order (EO), National Defense Resources Preparedness is a continuation of that policy. Only now, the intended target are not the LDC's but, instead, the American people. With the stroke of his pen, Obama has total and absolute control over all food where his EO states:
e) "Food resources" means all commodities and products, (simple, mixed, or compound), or complements to such commodities or products, that are capable of being ingested by either human beings or animals, irrespective of other uses to which such commodities or products may be put, at all stages of processing from the raw commodity to the products thereof in vendible form for human or animal consumption. "Food resources" also means potable water packaged in commercially marketable containers, all starches, sugars, vegetable and animal or marine fats and oils, seed, cotton, hemp, and flax fiber, but does not mean any such material after it loses its identity as an agricultural commodity or agricultural product.
(f) "Food resource facilities" means plants, machinery, vehicles (including on farm), and other facilities required for the production, processing, distribution, and storage (including cold storage) of food resources, and for the domestic distribution of farm equipment and fertilizer..."

This unconstitutional EO is particularly disturbing in that it clearly states that the government has control over anything that is "capable of being ingested by either human beings or animals..." If you thought that you and Fido were going to get through coming food crisis by consuming dog food, think again. How will farmers maintain the nation's food supply when all fertilizer, their farm equipment and all of their vehicles are under the control of a sociopathic President? The term "all food storage facilities" includes your refrigerator, your pantry and even the very food in your cabinets as well as what is on your kitchen table. In short, anywhere you keep food is now under the control of the government and can be redistributed. Were you scratching your head in bewilderment as you watched on the news as the Amish have had their farms raided, raw milk producers have been jailed and the kids running lemonade stands have been shut down and ticketed? Now you know why these abuses are being perpetrated by the government in that it represents a mere conditioning process designed to get all U.S. citizens used to the idea that the government owns all food and food production. The most clever aspect of this EO is that no Hegelian Dialectic (i.e., false f**g event) is needed as a pretense to seize food and imperil survivability. Section 201(b) of the Obama EO clearly states that this EO is enforceable under both emergency and non-emergency conditions.”

Even Ray Charles could see that Obama set the table for a future leader to take their place among Stalin, Hitler, Pol Pot, Castro and Mao as another despot in the long line of tyrannical leaders who would grant themselves the authority to subjugate the masses by using food as a weapon.

Americans desperately need to look at history in order to understand what happens every time the people of a government allows the government to control its food supplies and farms. It was with great forethought that the second part of the title of this article reads "...systematic population reduction."

In hindsight, I have often wondered how prophetic was Obama's campaign speech when he promised to fundamentally t***sform America? This was actually one campaign promise that Obama kept while he was in office. NSSM 200 has come full circle, but in this case, it is specifically aimed at the American people and you and your family are the intended targets. History says my source is correct and the wise man will prepare.
Following Regime Change, Americans Will Be Starved... (show quote)

Candance is far to young - but maybe that would be an attribute people would overlook. She is certainly smart, articulate, photogenic and generally someone who I think can do more for conservatism with what she is doing and about to do. The last podcast I saw of her with her hubby was that they planned to have children - and may live in the U.K. For me, she would be more of an influence to young people (and us older folks) as a mother/commentator conservative - the kind of women the liberals h**e. She can handle the heat from them and give it back in larger doses than they can put out.
I think Nikki Haley would make an outstanding candidate. However, she needs to start campaigning NOW for 2024. I want to hear her articulate herself - but it isn't for me. It's so the liberals can start hearing the conservative opposition to the SQUAD. The SQUAD is starting their 2024 campaign now, so Haley needs to start hers as well before the SQUAD gets to far ahead. I know of at least 5 females in my neighborhood who are going to v**e for Elizabeth Warren only because she is a women. You can be sure that Elizabeth Warren will get the 2024 nomination if not the 2020, so Haley needs to get her face out in front of the type of women who will v**e for a women just because she is a women. PLEASE LADIES - I DO NOT MEAN THAT TO BE SEXIST. That's a realist's viewpoint. I believe Haley is fully qualified for the office and would like those 5 females in my neighborhood to have to think about which female to v**e for - Warren or Haley. If given that choice, I think Haley wins hands down.
Trump, Jr should stay out of politics until the 2032 e******n. The Republicans who are s**k of his father will never support Don Jr, just like the Republicans decided not to back Jeb Bush. People got s**k of the Bushes and so too will there be a backlash against Don Jr. Ivanka might be a better choice. Overall, the Trump political machine will never have full support of the Republican Party, unless the Trump political machine gets like minded - full Trump supporting Republicans - v**ed in as Senators and Congressman. In other words, get out all the RINO's and the Tim Ryan, Mitch McConnell, Keven McCarthy types that currently call themselves Republicans, and get in full fledged, unequivical Trump agenda types. Why? Because even though Donald Trump is very good president, he gets as much backing and support from the current Republicans in the Senate and House as screen door in a submarine. Trump has accomplished many, many, many things (judge, de-regulations, tax cuts, etc), yet just think how much more he could be doing/could have accomplished if he had true and honest support from all Republicans in the Senate and House.

Thank you open borders Democrats. Between 100 and 200 cases of leprosy have been recorded over the last year.

A USC study discovered that most of the 187 patients with leprosy who were treated at its clinic between 1973 to 2018 came from Mexico where the disease is widespread.

The disease is also found in Central and South America. The disease was unknown in the United States but is now making a comeback and it seems to be hitting the homeless in Los Angeles particularly hard.

Dr. Marc Siegel, a professor of medicine and medical director at Doctor Radio at NYU Langone Health is warning about the spread of disease as it comes across the American border undetected.

Siegel said:

“Given that, there is certainly the possibility of sporadic cases of leprosy continuing to be brought across our southern border undetected.”

From Medical Daily

The occurrence lead Dr. Siegel to issue a warning that the contagious disease that is spread by respiratory secretions and nasal droplets in close proximities will soon affect nearly 60,000 homeless people, 75 percent of whom lack temporary shelter or enough hygiene and medical care, in Los Angeles.

The Daily Mail reported that leprosy or also known as Hansen’s disease, affecting 250,000 people worldwide yearly, is caused by the bacteria called Mycobacterium leprae. It attacks the nerves in the body, thus results to the ‘peeling’ characteristic of the skin as per the CDC.

If the disease is left untreated, it could progress to paralysis of the hands and feet.

“I am much more concerned about the permanent disabilities that come with leprosy — given that 2 million to 3 million people are affected worldwide — than I am with the associated stigma,” Dr. Siegel said.

Leprosy occurring among the homeless in L.A. is a certain formula for instant public panic, he added.

Yet another epidemic t***spired with the spiraling homeless problem in Los Angeles – typhus.

A report in June by the Los Angeles Times noted that the CatsUSA Pest Control surveyed areas outside of the City Hall and nearby buildings and cautioned that homeless people are creating “harborage for rodents.”

I took the test the military had in place in 1964 (before ASVAB) and was placed in the exact type of job I was qualified to do - a job I spent doing my entire 20-year military career and for 30 years after retirement from the Navy - which was working with computers. (The first computer I worked with was the size of a refrigerator. My iPhone has more power then that computer had. Amazing!) Anyway, my point is that the military usually does a good job placing people in the sk**l set that best fits them - however, strictly on the needs of the service. Which means, for example, even if the you want to be a radio operator and you qualify for it, the service might end up putting in the place you are needed the most - which could be the infantry, working on the flight deck of an air craft carrier, scrapping the ships side, or a whole host of other jobs. It is ALWAYS subject to the needs of the service, which doesn't always make people happy.

I had every intention of walking past Trump’s latest outrages and writing about the self-destructive squabbling of the Democratic p**********l field, which has chosen to shame former vice president Joe Biden for the sin of being an electable, moderate liberal.

But I made the mistake of pulling James Cone’s 'The Cross and the Lynching Tree' off my shelf — a book designed to shatter convenient complacency.

Cone recounts the case of a white mob in Valdosta, Ga., in 1918 that lynched an innocent man named Haynes Turner. Turner’s enraged wife, Mary, promised justice for the k**lers. The sheriff responded by arresting her and then turning her over to the mob, which included women and children. According to one source, Mary was 'stripped, hung upside down by the ankles, soaked with gasoline, and roasted to death. In the midst of this torment, a white man opened her swollen belly with a hunting knife and her infant fell to the ground and was stomped to death.'

God help us.

It is hard to write the words.

This evil — the evil of w***e s*******y, resulting in dehumanization, inhumanity and murder — is the worst stain, the greatest crime, of U.S. history. It is the thing that nearly broke the nation. It is the thing that proved generations of Christians to be vicious hypocrites. It is the thing that turned normal people into moral monsters, capable of burning a grieving widow to death and k*****g her child.

When the president of the United States plays with that fire or takes that beast out for a walk, it is not just another political event, not just a normal day in campaign 2020. It is a cause for shame. It is the violation of martyrs’ graves. It is obscene graffiti on the Lincoln Memorial. It is, in the eyes of history, the betrayal — the re-betrayal — of Haynes and Mary Turner and their child. And all of this is being done by an ignorant and arrogant narcissist reviving r****t tropes for political gain, indifferent to the wreckage he is leaving, the wounds he is ripping open.

Like, I suspect, many others, I am finding it hard to look at resurgent r****m as just one in a series of p**********l offenses or another in a series of Republican errors. R****m is not just another wrong. The Antietam battlefield is not just another plot of ground. The Edmund Pettus Bridge is not just another bridge. The balcony outside Room 306 at the Lorraine Motel is not just another balcony. As U.S. history hallows some causes, it magnifies some crimes.

What does all this mean politically? It means that Trump’s d******eness is getting worse, not better. He makes r****t comments, appeals to r****t sentiments and inflames r****t passions. The rationalization that he is not, deep down in his heart, really a r****t is meaningless. Trump’s continued offenses mean that a large portion of his political base is energized by r****t tropes and the language of white grievance. And it means — wh**ever their intent — that those who play down, or excuse, or try to walk past these offenses are enablers.

Some political choices are not just stupid or crude.

They represent the return of our country’s cruelest, most dangerous passion. Such r****m indicts Trump. Treating r****m as a typical or minor matter indicts us." — Michael Gerson

Sorry Michael Gerson is not the only person in the world who has an opinion. And, opinions are like elbows, everyone has one. So, my opinion is - you haven't proved r****m. And, these are not r****t statements. My elbow is just as loud and counts as much as yours. Take all opinions with a bag of salt.

I'm not sure people realize how stupid it makes people look to blindly support truly ridiculous policies. Ignoring and acting like you have nothing to say makes a person look just as bad.

A leader needs and should have feedback from those who support them so as to have a necessary guidance. One of the problems with this president is that he rejects any opinion besides those that agree with him, and has proven that he will turn on those who don't agree with him.

Perhaps the most necessary and strongest trait a president could have would be to listen to the advice of those around him, rather than search for those who will agree with everything he says.

Excuse me! But you libs went BALLISTIC when Brarack Obama was criticized as you blindly followed him, so what makes you think that Trump supporters aren't and can't be as passionate? I suggest that people who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones. Put your rocks in your pocket and live with it. That's the way of the world.
