Interesting article... it seems to me, that if the cop feels like he needs to search me [anyone] for 'his own safety' more than say once in any 777 consecutive days, he should be removed from the policing position because he is exhibiting excessively paranoia while intentionally : recklessly putting himself into situations in which he can determine that he has to search someone else for his personal safety...

such people should not be hired into public or private employment in positions in which they can, time after time, put themselves into situations where they believe they should search me [someone else] because the officer decides to be where I are and make contact with me so he can say he feels that err safety requires her to search me absent any 4th Amendment probable cause -

my question is ? why are we letting such people, with such limited ability to size up a situation, be out on their own running around in public with a badge and a gun.
