Wrong. NOTHING justifies what Hamas did over there. If they want war, fight soldier to soldier. All out murder of unarmed people is asking for wrathful actions.

Who's trying to justify it??

The actions the Israeli government has taken over the years was obviously going to breed hatred and resentment...

They failed they're own people...
Plain and simple...

I dunno. I think some of those parents might be proud of their kids for k*****g Jews.
Either way, they v**ed in Hamas as their government, so, they should pay the price. E******ns have consequences.
Who was it who said that first?

I agree...
Same can be said for the Israelis who v**ed in a government that allowed illegal settlements on Palestinian land...
Right??

They have a fit when Palestinian children are k**led because of their own actions only because they're losing future suicide bombers. There will never be peace over as long as those animals are allowed to exist.

I doubt Hamas cares about the Palestinian children...

Their parents on the other hand...

Conflating the two groups makes little sense...

Tell me something. If a similar attack happened against the US or China, what do you believe would be their response ?

The US has no problem bombing kids and other non combatants in retaliation...

Not sure what China's response would be...
Probably occupation..

I understand, and sympathize, with the people in Gaza. I do.
But the facts remain:
They have been at war, both cold and hot, with Israel for over 70 years.
They lost the war in 1948.
THEY have started every war since, and lost every one of them.
There are BAD consequences to losing a war.
There are WORSE consequences for refusing to accept peace after you have lost a war.
The majority of the people there either support or tolerate Hamas and other terrorist organizations.
Hamas is being used by other Muslim countries as surrogate cannon fodder to attack Israel and k**l Israelis.
NO atrocity is too repugnant for them to use.
Israel has limited political and practical choices as to what they can do to protect themselves.
The most effective one is to wipe out Gaza. They have not/will not do that.
The second most effective way is to establish complete authoritarian control over every aspect of life in Gaza. So far they have refrained from doing that. At this point, after 70 years, they may no longer be holding back.
Those are the consequences the Gaza residents face. Some of them do not deserve that, but they are mixed with the ones that do.
For over 70 years the world has done very little to resolve the issue, due to political weakness and taking sides. We express horror at each and every attack, and ask/demand Israel to 'refrain' and 'de-escalate' and 'show restraint'.
The weak and helpless and pro-terrorist UN is directly to blame for this not having been resolved, one way or the other, decades ago.
People say that Gaza has it's reasons, and that Israel has been part of the problem, and that is true. But they have the right to exist, and to live in peace. Gaza, for wh**ever reasons, valid or not, refuses to recognize that.
They are picking the fights and thus they will suffer the consequences, and NO ONE should be blaming Israel for trying to put an end to it.
If they used the same methods, of course I would. ... (show quote)

This is well reasoned...
I respect that...

I don't. The history books I read did not mention one word about the Jews in Germany repeatedly launching missiles and mortar shells, and repeated ground attacks and bombings and atrocities on civilians and children in N**i homes and cities. Odd how that was left out.

But you would blame the Jews if they had fought back against n**i persecution???

Odd...

I have avoided listening to the major news sources in the US, EU and elsewhere and have focused on
Firstpost. This reporting comes from Israel and Gaza, it is raw, immediate, on site, uncensored, non-biased and dangerous. So far I have watched around 12 hours of these reports and what has been revealed is mind-blowing, including the reasons for Israel's (and everyone else's) intelligence and security failures. That is an extraordinary example of Islam's doctrine of Taqiya at work.

The political leaders of Hamas, the big dogs that set the policies, do not live in Gaza, they are living large in luxury hotels in Qatar, enjoying the sun, wine, women and song. Hamas military commander, Mohammad Deif, and his lieutenants are running the show in Gaza. Deif is the mastermind of this attack, and he planned this in secret with only a select few, including Iranian advisors, in on it. Apparently, the planning took place in Beirut, Lebanon, and the politicians in Qatar never heard a word about it.

In any case, Hamas leadership is split between one faction that prefers negotiation and the other bent on destroying Israel.

What many don't seem to understand is Iran is behind this, Hamas is just part of a terrorist coalition - Hezbollah and Hamas are Iran's proxies, they are funded, trained, and armed by Iran (and other countries bent on the destruction of Israel, such as Qatar, Syria, and Turkey.) Moreover, far too many who support the Palestinians are unable or unwilling to make the important distinction between Hamas terrorists and Palestinian civilians.

I could go on for pages relaying info and intel I've gotten from Firstpost and others, including videos uploaded from smart phones by both Gazans and Israelis, but I'll stop here. Watch the reports from Firstpost or don't, it's entirely your choice. But be advised, some of what these reports show is graphic and heartbreaking, like the charred bodies of Israeli children or a Palestinian woman weeping over the shredded remains of her husband.

BTW: Israel does not intentionally target civilians, in fact, they give them advanced warnings of up to 20 minutes before a strike. But in one of the most densely populated places on earth, they have no where to go.
Hamas never gave a thought to providing the civilians with protection from what they knew would come, like bomb shelters, bunkers and such, that would go against their cowardly policy of hiding behind civilians. Dead civilians are vital to Islam's propaganda.
