It is worth noting, that Netanyahu’s military actions are not targeting HAMAS, quite the opposite: he is targeting 2.3 million innocent Palestinian civilians, in blatant violation of the Four Basic Principles of The Law of Armed Conflict (LOAC):

“….respect for and protection of the civilian population and civilian objects [schools, hospitals and residential areas], the Parties to the conflict shall at all times distinguish between the civilian population and combatants and between civilian objects and military objectives and accordingly shall direct their operations only against military objectives.” [Additional Protocol 1, Article 48]

Is Limior Sun Har-Melech, a Jewish cabinet member a member of Hamas? And "NO", Israel's Defense Minister did not call "Hamas" animals, he specifically described "Palestinians" as “human animals”!

I don't have the answer Proud. That's beyond my pay grade. But just like in WW2 when we dropped the atomic bomb on Japan and k**led all those innocent civilians, that was morally wrong. If Israel does the equivalent to the Palestinian population, that would be morally wrong. International Humanitarian Law (IHL) stipulates that attacks should only be directed at combatants and military objectives and that civilians and civilian objects should be respected.

Which brings us back to the original question of how this attack could have occurred in the the first place against the state with the best security apparatus in the world, and especially after getting specific intelligence from the Eqyptian security service warning of hostile activity.

I have avoided listening to the major news sources in the US, EU and elsewhere and have focused on
Firstpost. This reporting comes from Israel and Gaza, it is raw, immediate, on site, uncensored, non-biased and dangerous. So far I have watched around 12 hours of these reports and what has been revealed is mind-blowing, including the reasons for Israel's (and everyone else's) intelligence and security failures. That is an extraordinary example of Islam's doctrine of Taqiya at work.

The political leaders of Hamas, the big dogs that set the policies, do not live in Gaza, they are living large in luxury hotels in Qatar, enjoying the sun, wine, women and song. Hamas military commander, Mohammad Deif, and his lieutenants are running the show in Gaza. Deif is the mastermind of this attack, and he planned this in secret with only a select few, including Iranian advisors, in on it. Apparently, the planning took place in Beirut, Lebanon, and the politicians in Qatar never heard a word about it.

In any case, Hamas leadership is split between one faction that prefers negotiation and the other bent on destroying Israel.

What many don't seem to understand is Iran is behind this, Hamas is just part of a terrorist coalition - Hezbollah and Hamas are Iran's proxies, they are funded, trained, and armed by Iran (and other countries bent on the destruction of Israel, such as Qatar, Syria, and Turkey.) Moreover, far too many who support the Palestinians are unable or unwilling to make the important distinction between Hamas terrorists and Palestinian civilians.

I could go on for pages relaying info and intel I've gotten from Firstpost and others, including videos uploaded from smart phones by both Gazans and Israelis, but I'll stop here. Watch the reports from Firstpost or don't, it's entirely your choice. But be advised, some of what these reports show is graphic and heartbreaking, like the charred bodies of Israeli children or a Palestinian woman weeping over the shredded remains of her husband.

BTW: Israel does not intentionally target civilians, in fact, they give them advanced warnings of up to 20 minutes before a strike. But in one of the most densely populated places on earth, they have no where to go.
Hamas never gave a thought to providing the civilians with protection from what they knew would come, like bomb shelters, bunkers and such, that would go against their cowardly policy of hiding behind civilians. Dead civilians are vital to Islam's propaganda.
