2nd Amendment News: Oregon V**es in Gun Ban!
You read that correctly. V**ers in Oregon passed sweeping gun legislation which amounts to a gun ban! B****t Measure 114 passed by a v**e of “50.7 % For” and “49.3% Against,” with 30 of 36 counties v****g against the measure. As usual, the counties filled with liberals made this unconstitutional legislation into a law of the state. There’s your democracy at work folks! Two wolves and one lamb v****g on what’s for dinner, aka mob rule.
Several Oregon sheriffs are refusing to enforce the law, and one filed suit against the measure as it is unconstitutional, and I thank them.
The measure prohibits the sale, purchase, or possession of magazines holding more than 10 rounds, establishes a registration database (for later confiscation), and requires more background checks, more fingerprinting, and more safety training. Finally, the measure deals the death blow for gun owners: an unconstitutional Permit to Purchase a firearm system, which by the way does not even exist at this time. What part of “Shall not be infringed” do you not understand?!
My permit to purchase is the 2nd Amendment to the United States Constitution!
The law goes into effect on December 8th when the Oregon State Police is tasked with the implementation of the permit system. Gun owners aren’t holding their breaths while the State Police get the program up and running; owners are on a firearms buying spree.
Unfortunately for Oregon gun owners, the current chaos is preventing them from buying guns. Oregon State Police normally process 850 background checks per day. The number is now approximately 4,500 a day and climbing, and as you can imagine, has created quite a backlog. Even if you purchased a gun before the December 8th deadline, the new law requires you to show the dealer your permit to possess the gun before they can t***sfer your purchase to you! Thus, you now have a de facto gun ban in the State of Oregon!
They’re coming for your guns Folks!

Given the supreme court rulings on gun ownership etc. this will get kicked down. The Supreme Court has said the states do have the right to govern how weapons will be handled but they have to be in conformity to the Constitutions’ second amendment. Where that is violated so is the law they supposedly make on it.. Sounds like Chicago, Ill (cook county) that had no purchase of weapons too.. Taken up the SCOTUS said, nope ya can’t infringe, and threw out Chicagos ban on weapons... they also weren’t going to approve concealed carry until the same law firm that beat the state out on the gun law told them fine we’ll just take that before the Supreme Court as well. Which they did and prior to the supreme court ruling Illinois said~ will grant them but they’re going to be at least a year in duration. Attorney said nope that doesn’t work either will keep it on board with the Supreme Court so the state came back and said we can give a 90 day timeframe to work within and that’s how that got handled…
The one thing this kind of thing does is send people out buying more weapons~~ they are the best advertisers for gun sales…
