Just call things as you see them and know what is right and what is not and do not get caught up in the identity politics trap.

The identity politics of both arms (dimwits and repulsives) of the corporate party is a distraction and a s**m. It divides Americans harmed by run-away economic ine******y into hostile camps who are so preoccupied with each other that they fail to see their common oppressor: a wealthy capitalist elite that has captured their government by funding the e******ns of politicians in both parties and those elite could care less which arm wins as they will still be in control while the sheople are distracted by the identity politics of r****m, sexism, xenophobia, big vs little government, and on and on and on... while they continue to fleece the ignorant, distracted sheople. The last thing they want is for the sheople to realize their using government to continue their fleecing.

They provide plenty for the wealthy and their corporations, especially the military industrial corporations in the form of bailouts, tax breaks and subsidies. Helping the elderly, poor and sick is just wasteful welfare and entitlements spending.

Yes he is drawing, its THE LAW you have to take it. As I listen to your ramblings on the rich I have realized what your problem is.You are a union man and you listen to some ignorant union boss telling you how you are being screwed by the rich. Well the union boss usually makes 10x what the workers make and they don't care about anyone but them selves.

Well, einstein, I worked in the banking industry for 171/2 years and was then self employed for over 20 years. I do not recall any union boss telling me s**t. The union boss is then just like the rich, they don't care about anybody but themselves.

Do you think it is fair that because of their political influence and political power to gain even more advantage that the 1% now capture over 52% of ALL income and pay an effective tax rate of just over 20%? While the bottom 99% shares the remaining 48%? Is it fair that wages for the average American have been stagnant for the 50 years, even with trumpy's booming economy. That's because it may be booming for the wealthy but it still remains stagnant for the Average American.

She's an i***t, even her own people cringe when she opens her big maw and spews out the lunacy. I'm a firm believer in all people paying the same for what they get, whether they work for a living or not. If they choose not to work, that's their choice, they should reap the consequences of what they sow, good or bad, and I see nothing wrong in that.

Many of the wealthy do not work. They live off their stock dividends, capital gains, rent on property, etc and pay NO Social Security or Medicare taxes on that income. How is that fair?

You b***h about the poor getting help from the government, yet overlook the fact that corporate "welfare" (tax incentives, tax abatements, bailouts, etc) spending dwarfs social 'welfare" spending. Why shouldn't corporations "reap the consequences of what they sow, good or bad? Instead profits are privatized and losses are born by taxpayers.

And now along comes trumpy with more tax cuts for the wealthy and corporations.

Bet it is even worse after trumpy's tax cuts

A percentage is a percentage. If you make more, you should still pay the same percentage. The dollars will be more but the percentage is equal.

Then why does the bottom 40% actually pay a bigger percentage of their incomes when ALL taxes are taken into account? I am not just talking about income tax. there are a hell of a lot more taxes than just income taxes. Is it fair that people with high incomes get to stop paying Social Security on their incomes above $132,400/annually? Why are the dividend and capital gains incomes of the rich not taxed for social Security and Medicare? Sales taxes, excise taxes, fuel taxes, etc are all flat taxes. Who do those taxes hit the hardest? The wealthy or the poor? A flat tax would not be fair.

Why do we have to pay taxes on Social Security that were paid from our checks when working and removed then???

When caring for my mother and having to file her taxes I was livid she had taxes owed on her social secuirty and a Federal pension no less...

Morning glory! You have raygun and greenspan to thank for that. Raygun and greenspan (and a commission) cooked up the fraud and convinced Congress in 1983 to raise the payroll tax as a way to make it solvent for the next 30 years but the bill also made certain Social Security benefits subject to income taxes. Of course we all know that the increase in Social Security was NEVER put into a "lockbox" as promised. Instead it was put into the general fund and spent. Replaced with worthless unmarketable government IOUs.

Raygun viewed Social Security as welfare. Raygun and greenspan pulled off one of the greatest frauds ever perpetrated against the American people in the history of this great nation, and the underlying s**m is still alive, and well today. It was the perfect strategy for the redistribution of income and wealth from the working class to the rich.

If raygun had campaigned for the presidency by promising big tax cuts for the rich and pledging to make up for the lost revenue by imposing substantial tax increases on the working class, he would probably not have been elected. But that is exactly what he did, with the help of greenspan.

It represents the very foundation upon which the economic malpractice that led the nation to the great economic collapse of 2008 was built.

Do you think trumpy would have been elected if he had promised to cut taxes for the wealthy and corporations and screw the middle and working class? It remains to be seen what trumpy will do to offset the loss of federal revenue his tax cuts are causing. Mumblings and speculation from repulsive congress critters indicate that it will probably come in the form of cuts to Social Secrity, Medicare and Medicaid. Again on the back of the elderly, poor and disabled.

History really does repeat itself.

Nope, wrong again. Had you clicked the link I provided you would have known that there were seven nationwide candidates (on the b****t in every state) apart from the two 'evils' you chose between. Here's their names, in no specific order:

Jill Stein
Darrell Castle
Tom Hoefling
Evan McMullin
Gary Johnson
Terry Jones
Zoltan Istvan

No doubt you'll come up with some totally irrefutable reason not to select each of then (or even all of them), rationalizing your choice of 'evil' by default.

The NRA is trying to incite violence against Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi and former Rep. Gabby Giffords who almost lost her life in a mass shooting.
The NRA Is Trying To Get Nancy Pelosi Shot
The NRA referred to Pelosi and Giffords as “target practice:”

There is no other way to interpret the phrase target practice. The NRA was calling for violence against the most powerful woman in the United States. The NRA is an extremist organization that blocks efforts to curb gun violence because they are not an organization that represents the interests of responsible gun owners. The NRA is the powerful gun lobbying arm of gun manufacturers.
Every position that the NRA takes is designed with the intention of boosting profit for gun makers.

Pelosi and Giffords represent a threat to their profits, which is why the NRA has taken a violent posture.

Congress wants to know if Russia owns the NRA

The congressional investigation is at least the third known probe into Russia and the NRA. Special Counsel Robert Mueller is investigating the Russia/NRA connection, and the FBI is investigating the NRA. The NRA is under investigation for potentially laundering Russian money and getting it into the campaign coffers of Donald Trump and Republican Senate candidates.

Congress is also investigating the NRA for illegally funneling money to Trump and other Republican candidates through the use of shell companies.
The NRA is in a world of hurt, and when Trump goes down, he is likely taking the Russian bought gun lobby front group down with him.

Will I v**e for trumpy in 2020? Probably not.

How many filed for the office in 2016?

First Donald Trump doesn't receive a salary. I'm sure you think he gave it up just so he wouldn't have to pay SS, but he is patriotic enough not to demand money from the country he loves.
But SS wasn't intended to pay,out much at the time you had to reach the age of 65 to draw it and the life expectancy was 59 so don't believe it was done for you.
The tax was designed for working people and that was why it was placed on wages. Oh when you hear liars like Gore and the Clintons talk about the lock box ,there never was a lock box the money went into the general fund from the first day. And it was just to get v**es that they play these games like disability
and death benefits but when they put that stuff on the books it has to raise taxes.
When i started working I was paying 300 a year and paid it out usually by April ,I just considered it a raise. Now if your wife works and gets a retirement she can't get your death benefits then of course you have to pay taxes on your benefits if you make a certain amount now that is taxes on taxes and that is crap. I wish i could have put mine in the bank and received interest and could have told them to keep their SS.

Once again, vern, your full of it. Trumpy receives his salary and then donates it. And since he does not release his tax returns, YOU nor I know if he is drawing his Social Security or not. I would bet he is.

Social Security income is subject to the income tax. Why isn't unearned income of mainly the wealthy (dividends, rents, and capital gains) subject to Social Security and Medicare taxes?

Why don't you do the "patriotic thing" and forego your SS then?
