Caucus is now the thorn in the side of the GOP only because they want to do what they promised the American people they would do if given the opportunity. Ryan and company wanted to pass a Health Care bill just for the sake of having done so, without doing any of the leg work required to see if it would do the intended job. Results were that premiums would increase for two more years before they headed downward (in other words, trust us as it will happen). To go off half -cocked to meet a self- imposed deadline is both naive and foolish. The only way to drain the swamp in DC is term/age limits for congress. Most of the old timers will do wh**ever it takes for them to retain their jobs which often is diametrically opposed to what would be good for the country as a whole. These are professional politicians who could not hold a job in the private sector so they hang on and l***h off the taxpayer for a lifetime. The system is totally corrupt on both sides of the aisle and it will take a strong, determined president years to clean it up if it ever can be done. Trump is trying but faces stiff opposition from democrats and the media so it is an uphill battle. Never, have I seen a president so outwardly villified and dis-respected by the opposition and the media as is Trump. We can only hope that he will remain strong and resolute and do the job
to which he was elected and show the world what America is made of. PS. Re labelling/name calling-good post. Will try to temper remarks and avoid labels as they really do not serve any useful purpose except to vent. America First !!!

I agree with some of your points such as term limits for politicians. In addition we need to get big money out of politics. As long as politicians have to amass a huge War chest in order to be elected, first of all they can't keep their mind on what they're supposed to, and secondly they can be bought by the people who contribute to them.
Trump is being vilified on several counts. One is that he makes blunders, huge blunders such as calling Pakistan and saying how wonderful they are when they are archenemies of India whom we do not want to alienate.
He is being vilified because he's signing executive orders reversing things that are highly important to people. Take for an example, environmental regulations. I live near the Great Lakes and there's all sorts of things that need to be done to keep the Great Lakes in good shape. This needs to be done on a federal level since there are multiple States surrounding these Lakes. Defunding the EPA and cutting back on hiring people for the EPA will most likely keep the great lakes from being repaired.
These are just a few of the examples that people are upset about.

You are all i***ts. Does that statement upset you? Would it be easier to swallow if I said I was an i***t too? The answers would be yes and no, respectively, I expect. No, I am not actually calling any of you i***ts, that was a ploy. The point is, name calling doesn't do anything, except distract from the discussion. I AM an i***t sometimes, but I decide that, not you. When someone calls me a name, I either own it or forget it and then I'm done with it. It means nothing.

Labeling things or people doesn't change a thing about them or it, it only changes your attitude towards them. One person gives a dollar to a homeless man, another gives a sandwich. Which one is a liberal and which a conservative? I bet you tried to answer that question, but here's the thing, you can't, because you don't know WHY each person did what they did. You tried to label them anyway, with little information, because that's the way we have learned to do things. I suggest we stop "reading between the lines" and "mind reading" when dealing with people.. Labeling is actually SELF destructive, as it closes our minds to possibilities that might be of benefit to us.

Resolving problems first requires identifying the problem and the problem is NEVER ideology. The color orange is a certain frequency in the light spectrum and one's ideology has no effect on that. Accepting different viewpoints as valid, does not change ideology. From one perspective, the orange may appear more red, from another more yellow, but it is STILL orange. That means that all viewpoints have value and using the aggregate of them can lead to a more complete picture. Rejecting another viewpoint because it differs from one's own, is a self defeating action. Trying to get a glimpse of the bigger picture, REQUIRES examining other viewpoints. Those with a camera phone mentality will never have the IMAX 360 ability to deal effectively with problems. Too many people use "selfies" as their way of understanding the World.
You are all i***ts. Does that statement upset you?... (show quote)

This is an excellent summary of the problem of name calling. However the people who need it probably won't read it.
"Just how dose the free market include the government?" The free market does not include the government - however the government has a role in any country - among them enforcement of contracts, protection of person and property and establishing laws requiring honest t***sactions.

"Why is it okay for the market to buy out government & make it a part of the market place?" Who said this is OK? If you are referring to bribes, that is illegal. If you are referring to lobbyists and campaign contributors you need to understand the incentive for that kind of expenditure is based on a government being big and involved and able to provide cronyism to individuals and special interests. Reduce and simplify government and you reduce the incentive for this activity.

"Now it is okay for corporations to buy Congress?" Is your understanding of a market economy so confused that you think bribery is a required element of it?

"Isn't that a bit unfair." Government granting special consideration to special interest is unfair to somebody - regardless if that special interest is a union, a corporation or a person.

"Today it may all seem fair to you but you along with most are paying a higher price for things & getting less." - This statement is go general as to be vague - if you're referring to inflation causing higher prices, at the moment inflation is running at historically low rates. If you are concerned about the risk of future inflation, look at the source of the risk - the deficit spending by the federal government.

"You just don't have a clear picture of what is the cause of the problems we have. " If you have a clear picture of the cause of the problem you haven't expressed it. I have consistently given my opinion of the root cause - the never ending expansion of the central government, and while you consistently decry the effect of that, you consistently miss the cause.

"I offered a bit about the Fed & Banking but you chose not to respond to that." I have responded, you simply haven't yet caught on - what you describe as this problem is directly related to what I've said is the core problem - the Fed is authorized by the central government, and the bank bail outs and privileged positions are empowered by the central government. The bigger the central government the bigger the problem - and the bigger the spending deficit of the federal government, the more need for the fed to create the money to fund it.

"Now with corporations buying v**es Government truly has become a part of the market place." I've covered this point, and will once again - the bigger the government and the wider its involvment, the more corporations have to gain by bying politicians and government officials.

"Now how do your as an individual feel about loosing your freedom?" I don't like loosing freedom, but the only thing that can take away your freedom is the government - and the bigger it is the more of your freedom it can and does take from you.

"Can you tell me just how this makes things better for you or do you not care that it is going on?[/" Having consistently said I am concerned about where we are going I cannot imagine, other than inability to comprehend the written word, how you conclude I don't care about what's going on.
Tell me more about how you see the government taking away your freedom.

Unfortunately facts don't mean anything to people who have written it off as f**e news. all they want to do is call you names and never prove anything to the contrary. It would be easy enough to go back and look to see if those are the things he said and they would find out that it is what he said.

We all remember Trump comments that the US has bad Trade bills around the world because China is a currency manipulator that will be my main focus my first day in Office to have my Treasury Secratary label China a currency manipulator so that I can begin to make good deals, fabulous deals and I know how to do it.
He has said that China is no longer a currency manipulator and he walks away from TPP and now the US will be blocked out of T***s Pacific trade program is this how we negotiate just walk away.

We all remember Trump on the campaign trail saying It would a mistake for Obama to get involved in Syria stay out of Syria it will start WW III. We all heard these statements nobody can deny it, time and time again he said these things. Whats the first thing he does he bombs Syria,

Remember his ridiculous statements on North Korea and Japan why not allow these countries to have Nukes. These are statements right out of Trumps mouth you cannot deny these statements. But now he is going to start a war in North Korea for testing Nuke delivery systems. Doe this not concern you.

Obama plays to much Golf when I am elected I will be in the White House 24/7 working my ass off to make America great again and I will not see one of my golf courses much to the delight of his supporters you can't deny this there is tape after tape rally after rally of him saying it. Trump is out of the White House every Thursday evening or Friday mornings headed to his golf course. Why do you people think this is okay.

But there have been Lie after Lie after Lie from Trump it seems to be excepted by the right wing expecially on OPP. But has anybody ever thought that just maybe he is in early stages of Dementia. He constantly makes different statements than his cabinet members I believe it has become a problem there are many professional now are very concerned about Trump I think we all should

There is something wrong with the fact that the party which is in control of a state can gerrymander the heck out of the state.
