Brain, here I will disagree with you, We should pay members of Congress even more that they make now as they must have households in two locations. What should be the rule is that while in office the must live on what the make as a member of Congress, NO outside income allowed, not even person money they had before holding office except for the first move to D C. This might make it so someone besides the rich can run for office and for those who do not really want to serve leave off sooner. Also something needs to be done about the amount of money being spent on e******ns, I remember under Nixon he put in a tax credit with a upper limit of $200 dollars total that could be made for politic donations, this might be a good idea again, but it would be the max any person could give in political donations.

What planet are you from? Drugs should be a health issue, seriously? No the crack heads and heroin users should be in jail, they commit crimes, like murder, rape, etc. for their addictions. If it was up to the health department, what they give them a strap down on a gurney and hope in a few weeks they are over their addiction and put them back out on the streets, why because that is all they can do. There are studies that show these people, I don't care what color they are, show more than not they go back to their old friends that they hung around with and they are back to the same old drug habit, getting back to the addiction and are again committing crimes.
