The God of the Bible exists and my "bet" is not blind. I've had a life-changing experience and have become a changed person since acknowledging my sinfulness to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and turning my life over to Him. And it was an all-or-nothing wager... I have turned my entire heart, mind and soul over to Him. I pray that someday real soon -- because the time is short -- that you also come to that life-changing realization.

Since you are comfortable in your choices, and I in mine, all the best to you and enjoy your Easter holiday.

According to leaked sources, Biden’s new simplified income-tax form to fund World War III and his Proposed $7.5 trillion budget will be revised, containing only four lines:

1. What was your income for the year?

2. What were your expenses?

3. How much have you left?

4. Send it in.

https://www.armstrongeconomics.com/world-news/taxes/biden-simplying-taxes-to-cover-his-7-5-trillion-budget/

Does this mean that if my expenses exceed my income (negative value on line 3) Uncle Joey will send me a check for the amount I overspent? I sort of like the idea, since I have A LOT of spending plans in mind!

However, if the God of the Bible does not exist, I have lost nothing.

But if the God of the Bible does exist, you have lost everything.

Suppose you end up meeting the God of the Quran, or Shiva, or learn you failed to be included as one of the 144,000
Blessed Ones, or to follow the Eight Fold Way, or failed to follow the commandments in the Torah, or did not honor your ancestors properly, or wh**ever. The God that you accept may or may not exist, but the same can be said of any other "super-natural being". You are making the same blind bet everybody else is if you want to look at it as an all-or-nothing wager.

Here's something you godless fools need to get your head around, what you believe about God and the Bible and what is true about Yahweh and His Word are two very different things.

Obviously, you know nothing about the Holy Bible, its history, its timeline and authorship, its continuity, the harmony of the gospels, and its impact on human civilization. The Biblical narrative is fully supported by the discoveries and findings of over 150 years of archeological expeditions in the Holy Land, the most significant of which are The Dead Sea Scrolls.

Here's something else for you to chew on:
Try as you might, give it all you've got, pull out all stops,
but you're not gonna get rid of Jesus.
He is the T***h.
Here's something you godless fools need to get you... (show quote)

But in the end:

If the God of the Bible exists, my unbelief will not negate that existence.

If the God of the Bible does not exist, your belief will not create that existence.

I tend to agree with your point of view, but on the other hand responding to certain postings can hopefully be a teachable moment to others on OPP by pointing out how ridiculous the original posts were. Both approaches have their +'s and -'s.

How is 'god' being mocked?

There is NO mention of god in the image posted, only orange coloring on a bed sheet, so there is waay

too much over-reacting about an image that has nothing to do with religion, unless you worship trump.

Btw way scholar, explain how the 'religious' manage to steal a pagan holiday to determine when yeshua

was born, but they simply cannot figure out when his death occurred, changing the date from year to year.

Nothing like have real solid facts to promote one's religious beliefs. (Note the sarcasm)

It you took the trouble to check if your brain was engaged before opening your mouth you would realize that the crucifixion/resurrection occurred right after the celebration of the Jewish holiday of Passover. Since Passover is a Jewish holiday it occurs on a specific date in the ancient Jewish LUNAR calendar and not the SOLAR calendar we use today. Even a very basic exposure to astronomy would prove that the two calendars do not calculate a year exactly the same way. Therefore Old Brilliant One, the date in question is VERY CONSISTENT if you use the appropriate calendar.

Good one. Also heard one on the radio, "Now That I am a Rich Man", a parody on "If I was a Wealthy Man" from Fidler on the Roof. Haven't been able to locate it though..

Even taking the above comment at face value, the person who stepped in and paid off the debt did so at his own expense, he DID NOT demand that totally uninvolved parties be forced to pay off the debt.

I believe what I see and experience - the oceans and horizons are flat.

You believe what you are told - the Americans won the Revolutionary War/War of Independance even though there is documented proof they lost and what they lost...

So the British wanted to get rid of the quarreling, insulant, bellicose colonies, but needed to fight a 7 year war to prove they were still the CMF-in-charge. After Washington surrendered to Cornwall at Yorktown the British were finally able to send all their soldiers and government officials home and leave the colonies to their own devices. Now I get it!

If I may ask, was it U. S. Grant who surrendered to R. E. Lee at Appomattox in 1865, it's another point I often get confused on.

Not really Proud, , you just think he is because your looking at the effects of his policies on the state and it's people. What De Gov. understands is that his actions buys lots of v**es across the rest of the country. You must agree that him getting to 1600 Penn. Ave. is far more important than any insignificant workers or businesses in CA.

Studio and CGI pics is all you keep posting.

You say all of these pictures are GCI, well I personally, with my own eyeballs, saw the "Earthrise" picture back in the late-80"s long before CGI or photoshop was ever thought of. In addition my farther had an old magazine (Look?, Life?) from 1969 that had the "earthrise" picture in it, or was that CGI too?

Astronomical observations of pictures you believe are real.

Why the earth appears flat and unmoving, because it is so since the times of Genesis was recorded and before the jews plagiarized it from the original accounts. No spinning ball, wobbling, moving around the sun, planets, stars hurtling through space at 100s of thousands of MPH. Read a bible. Stop believing what you were told as a child by NASA = N**I Aerospace Association - or grow up.

Once again oceans, lakes, canals, earth's horizon are all flat. All you need to do is look at what your eyes see.
Astronomical observations of pictures you believe ... (show quote)

So I should always believe what I see? Doe that include optical illusions, mirages and a magician sawing a cute blond in half AND putting her back together again, or maybe just levitating her? I have read the Bible, personally I found it of such dubious accuracy as well as so confusing, incoherent and contradictory I could not see it as more than a collection of cultural myths (1), but to each his own.

(1) myth: a usually traditional story of ostensibly historical events that serves to unfold part of the world view of a people or explain a practice, belief, or natural phenomenon. https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/myth

I trust you will keep believing what you stated. You will believe anything just like that blade guy. He believe the bible is an accurate account of Genesis and without proof. He believes the Americans defeated the British Empire during the Revolutionary War and without presenting any documented proof of it.

Good luck and stay in place.

It may be a matter of belief but it does fit every astronomical observation ever made as well as being able to explain why the earth appears flat and unmoving. Best of luck to you.
