Why do we need ANY statues?

And, lpnmajor, why do we need to understand history? The pyramid is unfinished. How would you know how to proceed if you don’t know how you got to where you are? Those statues are apart of our history. They are emblems of our greatest and they also are reminders of our mistakes and how we can do better. This is the greatest nation the world has ever seen. Let us not destroy it. Let us never forget the lessons of history.

This 'nitwit' will happily speak with you about your one-sided portrayal of the 2020 'summer of love'. Especially about who was doing more k*****g...the protestors or the police and their backers. Look it up...it's not even close. And most Americans will not 'move on' from the J****** 6 i**********n. As well they shouldn't...that day's events should be etched in their brains. It will go down in history as the infamous day a crowd egged on by a sitting POTUS tried to overturn the results of a certified and lawful e******n.

Pffft....the fools are the one's who have an inability to see the complex forces at work and try to simplify everything into their own personal political ideology.

Workingclassstiff, obviously there is no discussion with you on issues at this point. But I would suggest that if you are truly a “working class stiff”, your party deserted you in 2008, in favor of a socialist agenda. You need to move to the Republican Party and help fix it. But please leave your h**e behind.

Milosia2, I love and served my country, but many of your concerns need to be addressed. Capitalism is far more fair to the welfare of the individual than Socialism. But Capitalism in America is far from perfect and has created an unstable economic system. BUT, don’t throw the baby out with the bath water. Get out a dollar bill and on the back look at the pyramid. It is unfinished. It is up to us to end crony capitalism and make Capitalism work for everyone. We must do this without the vitriol and hatred of the two extremes. This country was established on compromise and, in the end, will either survive or fail.

Singularity, to me, the Creator is not anti-science. To me, science tries to answer the question of “how the universe works”. After all He gave mankind a brain and he wants us to use it to improve His creation. Christ tells me “why I am here” and how to live my life to the utmost. They actually compliment each other.

Although a majority of American adults identify as Christian, only six percent of Americans actually live out a biblical worldview, according to a shocking new study. Partially in response to this finding, the Family Research Council (FRC) is launching the Center for Biblical Worldview, directed by David Closson, in order to encourage Christians to live out their faith authentically. The Center will feature the work of veteran public opinion researcher George Barna and theologian Owen Strachan.

“Dutch theologian Abraham Kuyper once remarked that there is not one square inch over which Jesus Christ does not cry, ‘Mine!’ Kuyper’s point is that the lordship of Jesus extends to all aspects of reality and our lives,” Closson told PJ Media on Wednesday. “Unfortunately, this crucial insight has been largely forgotten today, even by many in our churches where we have a diminished understanding of Christ’s lordship.”

“But Paul is clear about the scope of Christ’s lordship; it includes everything. Colossians 1:16 says, ‘For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or d******ns or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him.’ This has implications how we think about our resources and material blessings,” Closson explained. “If all things exist and are sustained by Christ, they are His already.”

“I’m afraid we have lost the biblical concept of stewardship, which teaches that everything we have is a gift from God and is to be used for His glory,” the director lamented.

In coordination with the launch of the Center for Biblical Worldview, FRC commissioned a survey of 1,000 American adults. The survey found that while 51 percent of adults claim to have a biblical worldview, only six percent of them actually answered worldview questions in a manner consistent with the Bible. Only nine percent of those who identified themselves as Christians answered the questions correctly.
========================================================================
Among the questions whish researchers asked: “Which of the following do you consider to be the best indicator of a successful life?” Respondents chose from these options (biblical answer in bold):

• Fulfilling our potential through the application of our intellect and the scientific method
Consistent obedience to God
• Experiencing the highest possible levels of consciousness and unity with the universe
• Experiencing personal happiness or freedom
• Living a healthy and productive life, without economic oppression
• Being a good person

Only 29 percent of respondents chose “consistent obedience to God” over fulfilling one’s potential, experiencing personal happiness, being a good person, and other options.

First off Parky, I don’t consider Christianity a religion. Surprise! Christianity, to me, is a very personal relationship with Christ. Nothing more, nothing less. The arrogance of people on this platform and around the world who think they know who is “saved”is a affront to His teachings. The essence of Christ, to me, is love. Love your neighbor as yourself, love your enemies, do good to those who h**e you. And, yes, WE are our brothers keeper. Stop the h**e. We are all on the same path together as we move through life. Help those less fortunate, even a simple smile or greeting can make somebody’s day. May Christ dwell within you.

Ginny, you made your decision, we made ours. Personally, I would be very glade to make to the fall, but I doubt that will happen, and it has nothing to do with the v*****e. Be kind to everyone!

Ginny, I have plenty of work keeping my life in line with my personal walk with Christ, I leave moral judgments to the Creator. I personally wish we would keep religion out of political discussions.

I v**ed for Trump twice, but would not v**e for him again. Conservatives need to find a candidate to unite conservatives under the policies and same philosophy of government (the importance of individual and individual responsibility), that can appeal to moderates and independents. We need a uniter and Trump is a divider. We have several conservatives that present those positive policies that we have. A strong military, fair trade deals, in short, to love our country again! I am proud to be a citizen of the greatest, most fair, with the greatest opportunity for everyone willing to achieve their highest potential nation in the world! Remember, the Constitution was created through compromise! We have to stop the h**e.

Dwbill, if you don’t want to take the v*****e, don’t take it. You will have plenty of company for many reasons. I am well over 70, with several health problems and had my second shot on February 9th. My wife and I had no side effects. Oh, and I refuse to wear a mask now.

Canuckus, I too am an educator from a family of educators, I have gone from a bus driver, classroom teacher, principal, superintendent of schools to University professor. I suspect the difference between us is that in addition to being an educator, I am also a Christian. I know, in these liberal times that is quite a stain to bear, but I bear it proudly. How did mask wearing become such a political football, triggering conflict and rage?. Am I bad person if I didn't read your list? Refusing to wear a mask is a little bit like driving drunk. Drink all night, stumble into your car and head down the road, putting everyone in your path in danger.

Dashy, have you been v******ted? If so, you don’t have C***d19 and therefore cannot spread it. The only reason to wear a mask after v******tion is if you don’t believe in science or you simply like government control over your life. I believe in medical science and took the second shot on February 9th. I also don’t like government interference in my personal life. My advice would be for everyone to get v******ted and throw away your mask. I do not recommend drinking all night and getting behind the wheel of a car. Woodguru, I was the main speaker at an early Teaparty Meeting. The N word was never mentioned, or race for that matter. The discussion was on government controlled health care and The Affordable Healthcare plan, and the danger of increased centralization of political power in Washington. It was a very interesting evening.
