What, exactly, is the occupational title or job description of someone who has a degree in "Intellectual Heritage?"
Unless I miss my guess, that's one of those useless courses that useless weenies whose parents are paying for the credits anyway would take on the way to earning a degree in something that won't be worth enough, salary-wise, to buy three pounds of hamburger a month and still make the rent. Maybe that's why so many Liberal Arts degree toting lefties are vegans.
The author of your linked article is the Assistant... (

Just because someone is an Assistant Professor of something that you've never heard of, like Intellectual Heritage, or that he received a degree in it that you think is "useless," it doesn't give you cause to make fun of him, or call him names like "useless weenie," or to make assumptions about him. (like assuming that he's vegan, or that his parents paid for his entire college education, or that he doesn't make enough money "to buy three pounds of hamburger meat a month and still make the rent"; and who buys three pounds of hamburger meat a month anyway?)
Besides, you're missing the point of the entire article, which is that President Trump's plan to give special privileges and protection to one particular branch (Evangelical Protestantism) of one particular religion (Christianity) is unconstitutional, because it will mean that the United States Government is getting involved in religious issues that it has no business getting into in the first place, plus it comes dangerously close to making Evangelical Protestantism an official state religion, and the First Amendment to the Constitution clearly says that "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, nor prohibiting the free exercise thereof..." That's probably one of our most important protections of our freedom, because without it, any religion can make itself the official "faith" of the United States of America, which would enable members of that faith to pass laws imposing their particular religious beliefs on those who belong to other religions, or who don't believe in religion at all, thus leading to religious bigotry and persecution. Past history has shown that this is what always happens when members of one church take over a country, like what occurred in Spain in the days of the Spanish Inquisition, when so-called "heretics" were not only persecuted, but imprisoned, flogged, tortured, and finally burned at the stake (it was called "Auto de Fe," or "Act of Faith"). Even the children of the accused "unbelievers" suffered at the hands of the Inquisitors.
In other words, Trump's pandering to the Evangelists, like that "Christian Amendment" of the 19th Century that was the subject of this article, will not, despite what Trump and his supporters say, protect religious liberty. In fact, it will do just the opposite -- it will DESTROY religious liberty!
Furthermore, the fact that Trump is backing this crazy idea is just another example of his deceitfulness and hypocrisy. Don't forget that this the same man who wanted to ban MUSLIMS from entering the United States on the flimsy grounds that they MIGHT be "terrorists." TRUMP JUDGES AN ENTIRE RELIGION JUST BECAUSE CERTAIN MEMBERS OF THAT FAITH USE IT AS A JUSTIFICATION FOR TERRORIST ACTS (LIKE 9/11, FOR INSTANCE)! ISN'T THAT A ATTACK ON RELIGIOUS LIBERTY?
It is equally hypocritical for a guy like Trump to care about God, or the Bible, or religion in general (let alone religious freedom), when he has spent almost his entire life commiting just about EVERY SIN MENTIONED IN THE SCRIPTURES! He has been, among other things, a c***t, a thief, a chiseler, a possible tax evader, a sexual harasser, a pervert, a fornicator, an adulterer, a possible rapist, a participant in business and political corruption, a bigot, a provocateur of violence and hatred, a practitioner of double standards (for example, giving donations to Democratic campaigns, including that of JOE BIDEN AND KAMELA HARRIS, and now saying that the DEMOCRATS, INCLUDING BIDEN AND HARRIS, ARE "THE ENEMY"), a man who has used, and continues to use, his name, his wealth, his power, and his influence (as well as that of his father), to get himself out of jams, but most of all, he has been a compulsive, habitual, and pathological LIAR!
Why, the man makes Richard Nixon look like Diogenes!
In short, Trump just uses religion as a political prop to make himself look good and bolster his already overinflated ego. That's what he did when he had the police department of Washington, DC, use unnecessary force to remove peaceful protesters away from the area of a local church, just so he could pose in front of the church holding up a Bible as a photo opportunity (in other words, a publicity stunt). He didn't even hold the Bible right -- he had it upside down!
Of course, it's probably just as well, since Trump doesn't really believe in the Scriptures anyway. After all, he has broken almost every rule of morality listed in the book, including many of the Ten Commandments ("Thou shalt not commit adultery;" "Thou shalt not covet anything that is thy neighbor's;" "Thou shalt not bear false witness towards thy neighbor;" "thou shalt not take the name of thy Lord, thy God, in vain," etc)! Most of all, he ignores much of the teachings of Jesus Christ, including the idea of loving our enemies, of judging not "lest ye be judged," of turning "the other cheek," of "loving thy neighbor," etc.
The fact is that Donald Trump is less like a Christian, and is more like the Pharisees, who pretended to be so religious and "holy" just to impress people, to make themselves feel and look important, or to hide their personal sins and weaknesses, just as Trump does and has done in the past. Jesus rightfully denounced the Pharisees as hypocrites, which is exactly what they were -- and EXACTLY WHAT TRUMP IS AND HAS ALWAYS BEEN!
