To a certain degree, I agree with you. However, most of the amendments have been modified for the better, to meet the needs of modern society. The Second Amendment has not yet been modified that way. It is time it was updated.

The Constitution and Declaration are great and honorable documents even if written by a bunch of old rich white folks and if we did follow it we would be better for it, it's still relevant and includes all races now. America even with all of her flaws is the greatest nation on this planet. What other countries people or government helps others in times of need than we do?

In my opinion, you are absolutely correct here. The reason they don't like Obama is because he is Black. America, get used to it !

Every time someone calls Obama a Marxist or a F*****t- terms that they confuse and use interchangeably no less – they really want to call him a n***r. Every time that that they say that he does not share our values, or that he is “foreign” or “lazy” they want to use the “N” word but don’t dare. That’s what the whole birther thing is about. Every time the first lady is disrespected and ridiculed for some trivial thing that she said or did, they really want to call her a N***r. When they howl about the vacations that they take- far fewer than Bush by the way, they are really calling them uppity N***rs. And, the lies and conspiracy tactics go way beyond politics. There is a visceral hatred for the first family that I have not seen in many years of following politics. Even Nixon got more respect.
Now I have been accused of seeing hatred where it doesn’t exist. Some will say that because I disagree with Obama’s detractors , I make unwarranted accusations of bigotry. I say that argument does not wash. You can fight someone on policy matters without disparaging them at every turn, without questioning their faith or patriotism. Without accusing them of hating America.
Just the fact that so many are using “Muslim” as a slur, and largely with impunity is very telling. The arrogance of claiming to know what’s in someone heart and mind is astounding. All we can go by is what people do and say, and I go by the behavior of the right and to me it's obvious. They like to say that they’re the tolerant party. We'll then, did you ever hear someone on the right say, when questions about his religion are raised " It doesn't matter"? That would be the correct answer because under the constitution that they claim to love so much, it does-not- matter. Yet no one speaks out. There are only two kinds of conservatives...those who call him a Muslim and those who let them get away with it. Very telling indeed. Where is the tolerance? Those who are so intolerant of religion are highly suspect of being intolerant of race and other differences.

If you go to this short video, the one you have included the URL of below, and if you read the comments below it, you will find that all that business of the NRA being formed to protect former s***es is nonsense. Your reactions lack substance and are simply paranoid nonsense. And if you think the Republicans want minorities, you're like an ostrich with its head stuck in the sand. It isn't minorities they want -- its the v**es of minorities. As in "Please v**e Republican in the next e******n, but don't get near us."

I have probably forgotten more about what happened to the Cherokees than you ever learned, and I still know more. And that goes for the factions among the Cherokees and Andrew Jackson's role in these events, so don't try to lecture me about history. And to the Japanese internees during World War II. If you don't see where the Republicans stand about minorities, then your gun-tottin' 2nd Amendment paranoia has gotten the better of your common sense.

Aren't you missing something ? When I last read the Constitution -- yesterday -- there was no mention of B****s or other minorities. And B****s couldn't v**e and weren'ty even regarded a full human beings. Jefferson had s***es.

Regardless of the color of our skin, sex, religion etc. "Inalienable" . Is what most are referring too. Including the writer you responded to. If most of the rather ignorant, minions 51% cared or could read the Constitution. They too, would be privy to the same information. He might consider precision of Langue for precision of thought.

You must have been one of the few B****s there. The Tea Party is not known for the number of minority members it has.

If you think about what has come out of the VA recently about former soldiers not being allowed to buy guns it gets even more scary. Watch the video and see why I look forward to being shot someday in the future for speaking out against the administration.

Tasine, then let me say something others -- but probably not yourself -- will see as more substantive.

You say, "Any Party, Candidate or operative who rationalizes their evil-doing with the ‘belief’ that what s/he is doing is “for our own good’ is evil."

Did you complain about all the Republican efforts to limit Black v****g or minority v****g in this past e******n ? I bet you didn't.

Your statements really are delusional -- and that's substantive.

You are right, of course. The Socialists sort of went underground in the '20's and '30's, but they didn't set aside their agenda. They were determined to turn America into a Socialist country and they KNEW how to do it. The way was "incrementalism", baby steps rather than one giant step. Take a little freedom from us here, a little more there, too little for people to get into a real snit about. I believe they thought they had achieved enough power to take over the country during Bush's tenure -all the lies and d********g attitudes they exhibited were part of it, but they didn't get the job done then.

What they had accomplished leading up to the Bush Presidency was to infiltrate the most logical areas of our society to reach the children and the gullible with their drivel : the field of education, the field of entertainment, the field of journalism, and the field of politics. Every one of these fields could and DID work at dumbing down the population - to the point that many grown people today haven't a clue what the US Constitution is, don't know how our government is supposed to work, don't know who is responsible for what, etc. The socialists of yesteryear were a lot of bad things, but they weren't dumb. Today's socialists are dumber, just like those they dumbed down. But that didn't really matter as they KNEW who would be in positions of power and who would be the gofers.

I think Obama is their plant, installed to make the final move on America. The frantic pace and attitudes about getting very unpopular legislation passed, none of it for the betterment of society, all of it denying the US Constitution and specifically the Bill of Rights, setting us up for a dictatorship.

The America h**ers, the socialists, c*******ts, and democrats are now out of the closets and primed and ready to dictate. They are frantic because if they don't succeed, their futures could be very questionable to say the least. They feel, I believe, that they MUST succeed now that they are out in the open.
