Russian President Vladimir Putin said Thursday that Moscow would deploy new Avangard hypersonic glider warheads in the "coming months."

Adding that Russia's hypersonic program is the most advanced in the world, according to a new report from the Financial Times.

"We are improving our attack systems in response to the construction of a missile defense system by the United States.

Some of them are already in service, and some will be supplied in the near future," said Putin, who was speaking at the Valdai Discussion Club.

In the Black Sea resort of Sochi Thursday, adding that Moscow's hypersonic weapons program was well ahead of China and the US.

"The Avangard system [will be deployed] in the next few months."

"It is a fact of life that we are ahead of all our partners and competitors in this sphere of high precision, hypersonic weapons," he said.

"No one else has that . . . In that sense, we feel very comfortable, very safe."

This latest revelation comes seven months after Putin shocked Russia's political elite at the annual Russian state of the union address.

in March by claiming Moscow had developed new nuclear weapons that cannot be shot down by US anti-ballistic missile defenses.

The missiles, Putin said, are capable of striking almost any point on Earth while traveling at hypersonic speeds.



In what sounded like an implicit threat to the West, Putin also said back in March that Russia had repeatedly warned Washington not to go ahead with anti-missile systems that Moscow fears could erode its nuclear deterrent.

However "nobody listened to us.

A hypersonic glider is a projectile that can fly at speeds of over Mach 5 (+3,800 mph).

The glider is extremely maneuverable, which makes its ballistic trajectory unpredictable, thus rendering most Western missile defense shields useless.



Still, according to CNBC of the six weapons Putin debuted in March, only two of them will be ready for war by 2020.

Russian MiG-31K fighters and Tu-22M3 long-range bombers are seen air launching the hypersonic missile.
The Kinzhal is air-launched by the aircraft, which rockets it up to Mach 10 (7,600 mph).
The missile has a range of 1,240 miles once launched and has struck fear in NATO officials.

The hypersonic missile with intercontinental range and the ability to fly Mach 20, more than 15,000 miles per hour, will be entering the battlefield in the near term, according to a Tass report.
Earlier this year, serial production of the missile’s warheads had begun, according to a report.

While combat deployments for the Sarmat ICMB system are not expected until 2021, a TASS report Thursday said “pop-up tests,” the ability to propel the missile out of its underground silo had been successful. TASS noted flight trials are next.

Trials of the underwater nuclear drone could be next.
The video shows the manufacturing facility of the alleged Poseidon drone, which can carry a nuclear warhead to an enemy port or wipe out an entire carrier battle group.

Russia’s Defense Ministry says this nuclear propulsion system for the cruise missile, dubbed ‘Burevestnik’ has been successfully tested.
The missile, which is designed to have “unlimited range and unlimited ability to maneuver,” will undergo more ground tests in the near term.



Combat laser system

As part of the State Armaments Programme, Russian Space Force received a state-of-the-art weapon based on new physic principals – combat laser system.

The “combat laser system” Putin announced back in March is the most mysterious of them all.

Little information has been provided on the system.

However, the video features a military unit, operating with several Peresvet systems, accompanied by support vehicles.

With the midterm e******ns two weeks away, Trump now says the White House is planning a “major tax cut for middle-income people” that he’ll reveal right before the e******n. Trump told reporters Oct. 22 that he’ll produce a “resolution” calling for a 10% tax cut for middle-income earners.
For those wondering if it really works this way—no, the president can’t roll out a tax cut on short notice like this. There’s no procedure for cutting taxes via p**********l resolution. Only Congress can initiate a tax cut (or hike) and Congress is out of session until after the midterms. So it’s impossible for Trump to cut taxes in time to buy your v**e, as he seems to wish he could.
Trump mentioned this new tax cut idea in a session with reporters after a Nevada rally on Oct. 20. One can only imagine the urgent questions among Trump’s aides: Does he really mean it? Are we now going to make it look like there’s an actual plan for this? Or will this be a one-time, fire-and-forget Trumpism?
Looks like it’s a keeper. On Sunday, Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin tried to make it sound like there’s a thorough plan in the works, telling the New York Times, “this is specifically focused on the middle class and not beyond that.” But he didn’t have details on what tax brackets might quality for a reduction, or anything else. But don’t worry, a crack team of panderers is working on it.
Key Congressional Republicans, such as House Speaker Paul Ryan and House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Kevin Brady, apparently knew nothing about the express tax cut Trump had in mind–even though all tax legislation must originate in the House. But now, they say, oh, yeah, sure, Trump can outline a tax plan Congress can v**e on later. So now it seems likely Trump and perhaps some other Republicans will make this part of their closing argument as v**ers decide whom to v**e for.
If this all seems redundant, here’s why. Last year Trump signed a large, $1.5 trillion tax cut, with zero Democratic support, that was supposed to grease the midterm e******ns as v**ers everywhere thanked Republicans for all the extra money. Except many v**ers don’t feel they got any tax cut at all. Instead, they think the bulk of the tax cuts went to businesses and the wealthy, with crumbs left for middle-income families.
Data support that. The Trump tax cuts slashed the corporate tax rate from 35% to 21%, which has pushed taxes paid by businesses to record lows. Federal revenue from business taxes in fiscal 2018, which ended in September, plummeted by 31%. Taxes paid by individuals, however, rose by 6.1%.
Corporate profits, meanwhile, are up 15.4% this year. Average incomes are up by just 2.8%. And the annual deficit jumped 17%, to $779 billion, and is probably headed past $1 trillion for fiscal 2019. You can kinda understand why v**ers are skeptical. Two weeks before the e******n, tax cuts that were supposed to clinch the midterms for Republicans instead threaten a Democratic takeover of the House, with more people disapproving than approving. So Trump had the bright idea to try for a redo. Oh, wait—there’s already one redo effort underway—a “second phase” Republican tax-cut plan that passed the House in September, but seems to have no chance of getting the 60 v**es needed to pass the Senate.
Trump seems to be trying to convince v**ers that a theoretical tax cut he lacks the authority to implement will resolve all the things they don’t like about the tax cut Republicans have already passed. Just close your eyes and wish your paycheck were larger. Then cast your v**e before you open them.
