Iran is Shiite, Saudi Arabia is a Sunni. Iran wants to destroy the Saudi's and make them Shiite control. Iran wants to control the whole Middle East. That is why US is allowing Saudi Arabia to defend itself, by allowing them to buy arms from the US for their protection from Iran.
