What is the definition of "marriage"? The definition has been the same for thousands of years. I have no problem with individuals I don't know doing their "thing". What I do have a serious problem with is if their d*****t lifestyle affects me or any business. This is the United States of America and we have a Constitution that is supposed to severely limit what the central (federal) government can do. This is NOT the old c*******t Russia where the central government told you when to go to the bathroom. Our federal government has stepped WAY beyond it's Constitutional limits and that is why we are in trouble. Part of that trouble is the homosexual issue which the federal has NO CONSTITUTIONAL AUTHORITY to intervene in. Also the "h**e crimes" B/S the liberal democrats are trying to shove down our throats is in violation of our Constitution. Zealous lawyers and judges, in not abiding by Constitutional limitations have damn near destroyed our country. The homosexual issue is just one more thorn in our side. If I owned a business and did not want to serve them that is my Constitutional Freedom. What did one of our Founders say - keep your powder and primers dry. Happy 4th of July. I am old enough to remember the Democrats pushing for the 24th Amendment (1964) and the 26th Amendment (1971). I am also old enough to remember how wonderful it was to live in this great country as we won WW II and the early 1950's and early '60's. During that period, if you earned any money you paid some taxes on it. We common, middle class citizens had numerous write offs for medical expenses (no 10% floor) interest paid, mortgages, gasoline tax if you traveled out of state, etc., etc. Enough write-offs, if you qualified such that your taxable income and the taxes you paid were substantially REDUCED.
Over the years, I have watched Congress, under Democrat control, eliminate all these deductions for we common folks. And yes, some liberal Republicans went along with it.

Usually 18 year old kids are still living at home and most of them pay little or NO taxes, thus do not really have an understanding of tax policy and how taxes damage businesses and individual citizens. Our Founding Fathers did not include any tax programs in the Constitution. Article 1, Section 8 basically outlines the duties for Congress and in that section it authorizes the congress to lay and collect Taxes, Duties, Imposts and Excises TO PAY THE DEBTS AND PROVIDE FOR THE COMMON DEFENSE AND GENERAL WELFARE OF THE UNITEDE STATES; BUT ALL DUTIES, IMPOSTS AND EXCISES SHALL BE UNIFORM THROUGHOUT THE UNITED STATES. ALSO TO COIN MONEY AND REGULATE THE VALUE THEREOF AND OF FOREIGN COIN.
IT DOES NOT GIVE CONGRESS AUTHORITY TO ALLOW A THIRD PARTY TO CONTROL THE MONEY (i.e. THE FEDERAL RESERVE WHICH IS A CENTRAL BANK).
The term "general welfare" does NOT include welfare from the Treasury to "particular parties" (individuals). Thus Congress has GROSSLY abused it's Constitutional powers in this respect.
All of the gross distortions of our Constitution and the huge amount of debt The United States owes because of these distortions are a result of electing very poor individuals to federal office (House and Senate). AND ignorant v**ers did the dirty deed.
Thus, IMO, no one should be allowed to v**e unless they are 25 years old, own property and pay direct property tax, AND pay a poll tax to exercise their v**e. If none of these requirements are met then the individual v**er has no "skin in the game" and will continue to v**e for candidates who will give them "free stuff" -- that's our current situation.
Our great country is a wonderful place to live because of two simple things: A constitution that severely restricts the federal government functions (if it is NOT in the Constitution, the federal government CANNOT do it) and the God given freedoms to achieve the highest standards our God given talents allow. That simple. Our Constitution does NOT give the federal government the authority to take your hard earned money and give it to somebody else -- PERIOD.
seems that the democrats tried to dig up all the dirt on Sarah Palin they could find -- they also did it to Romney and every candidate for any federal office. So the question begs to be answered where is any information on obama? Anytime someone tries to hide something you should know that what he is hiding is most probably very damaging. So why didn't the democrats show obama's illustrious past credentials?? I forgot, democrats are control freaks and most of them belong in padded cells.

There over 360 republican bills that would help put American workers back to work (some are bi-partisan). Your illustrious Harry Reid has blocked every one of them and I suspect Obama also had a hand in this.
Democrats, not Republicans, h**e the American people because the democrats want to make every citizen dependent on the government instead of taking responsibility for themselves and their actions to better their lives.
The whole concept of the United States, our Constitution and Bill of Rights is to give people the freedom to do as they wish so long as they do not infringe on the freedom and rights of other citizens: you are responsible for your own actions.
In my opinion, the Democratic Party has been taken over by c*******t zealots who would turn our beloved country into the old Russian c*******t state. C*******m has never, and won't work because of human nature: when your neighbor sits on his butt all day and does nothing while you work your buns off for the "cause" yet you both get the same monetary "reward" for your "work", how long will it take you to figure out that c*******m stinks, and, if you are really ambitious and want better things for your family, a c*******t state will NOT allow you to get ahead: the c*******t status will NOT allow you to achieve your dreams. Also, by over taxing citizens, politicians are able to maintain their grip on power by paying out your money to someone else for their v**e.
Do you think that the government will spend the money you make more wisely than you could - that government is more virtuous than you?
In America, our God given freedoms are protected by our Constitution: the problem is that career politicians (both parties) have twisted the meaning of many phrases in our Constitution such that they (politicians) can do what ever they want to stay in office: this is almost just like the old Soviet Union - status quo, to make sure those in power stay in power.
The worst enemies of our country are ignorance, the lack of knowing the history of our great country (historical knowledge) and career politicians.

Why do you suppose it's only been the last 10 years? Did you ever hear of over farming land? Did you ever hear of $7.00/bushel corn because of ethanol? Did you ever hear of farmers trying to plant every inch of land - road to-road? One side note: how much did you pay for the last steaks you bought in a grocery store? Because of very poor farming practices, farming has polluted most of the standing water (ponds, lakes) and most of the rivers in America.
In 1959 the "plume" of dirty water (fertilizer) in the Gulf of Mexico from the Mississippi River run off was only 3 or 4 miles big. The last time I checked this "plume" extended into the Gulf about 60 miles. How do I know? I saw it with my own 2 eyes from the cockpit of a jet.
I don't know where you live but in my state (Midwest) the temperature has been ~ 12 Fahrenheit degrees below "normal" (?) all summer long. (What's normal?)

Why did we "carpet bomb" parts of Germany during WW II - the answer is simple historic fact -- the German N**i party, and the "SS" did unspeakably horrible things to human beings. The way to stop maniacs is to break their will to fight and k**l them if necessary. The German "war machine" also included a highly efficient weapons manufacturing system that included s***e labor factories. In order to stop German weapons manufacturing we had to destroy their manufacturing capability - had we not done this I would be writing this in German.
The same for the Japanese war machine - with one very big exception - the Japanese military treated their enlisted soldiers horribly thus turning them into suicidal or kamikaze warriors. What do you know about what the Japanese did to the Chinese civilians in 1938, 1939 and 1940 before WW II began. Had we not "nuked" Hiroshima and Nagasaki, it was estimated that America might lose 1,000,0000 soldiers when we invaded the Japanese mainland. Also, during the war, the Japanese military committed numerous inhumane acts against not only captured prisoners but also against civilian populations that they controlled.
When I was a kid I h**ed history when going to school: as I grew older I realized how very valuable accurate history was because it could, and should, keep humanity on a sane footing. Only problem is the liars that distort historical fact in order to gain more control over their fellow man. Right now our America is being run by a bunch of liars whose main goal is total control of us. Will history repeat itself or do we have the intelligence to defeat the liars and improve our country? I doubt it because there are too many lazy, ignorant and stupid Americans who v**e.
