Sounds great until you actually pay attention to what the 'definition' is actually saying. Applied with any degree of common sense that 'definition' could well apply to a broken brick in any patio simply because nobody knows whether bricks have emotional ups and downs, we just assume bricks are devoid of thought and thus devoid of emotion and thus also devoid of mood. It certainly applies to any bee whose nest would be being disturbed; any mother protecting her young; and all responsible parents and guardians in defense of family or home.
It also applies to any enjoyable endeavor since the emotional elevation would return to 'normal' once the endeavor was over, or even during a pause
The dread of having to get up and go to work at a job you really don't like but must maintain in order to eat; the joy of teaching a child to walk, a puppy to play or parrot to talk are equal "mood shifts" making the whole 'mental' scenario as bogus as a politician's promise. The fact is, that 'definition' applies to every living entity in every 'mental' state without exception. And by any standards it is inclusive of everything in Creation whether currently expressing itself as energy or matter (which is compressed energy).
