Homosexuality is not an illness, there is no 'treatment', no shame and no problem.
If someone is homosexual and you don't like it, fine. But you have no right to PUNISH anyone for it. If it disgusts you or makes you puke, you MAY have a psychological or medical issue underlying that or you may just be undereducated or an asshole. Or you may be religious.

Firstly, homosexuals have no more rights than the rest of us have. Getting married is not a right. However, what IS a right is to live your life as you see fit. Your life is no one else's business. It is YOUR life. The homosexual's life, the drug addict's life, the smoker's life, the alcoholic's life is HIS life, no one else's.

I believe in individual sovereignty whole-heartedly. Being religious or not is the individual's choice. Living a Christian life is an individual's choice. When a Christian tries to force his belief on others, he does far more harm than good in that he is offending more than the sinner. He is also offending conservatives who believe in individual sovereignty. I don't care if a person is homosexual or not - it's none of my business. If it is anyone's business, it is the homosexual and God - not mine, not yours. What I DO believe is my business and society's business is how people conduct themselves in public. And I am deeply offended by the celebration of homosexuality because I see it as the equivalent of pornography which also offends me.

A Christian is supposed to take God's message to the world. He is not told to force the belief or the acceptance of it. In other words, a Christian is a messenger, NOT an enforcer. My grandfather was a Christian enforcer - no one could stand to see him coming because all he did was harangue people when there was no need to.

Sodomy: is convered under the 4th amendment:
The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, "[1],,, which is also the only point we have to fight against encroachment of the 2nd amendment,,, you cherry pick good rights and bad,,

There is no "constitutional" right to marry,,,, and there shouldn't be,,,, that is not the business of the feds

The supreme court is out of control and should be put down.

In no place, either in what you nor I wrote, is increased Govt power and control the answer, it will backfire.

I just wish someone could show me where anyone has a "constitutional right" to marry. I don't understand why the Supreme Court whose only legitimate function is to decide the constitutionality of a law would allow this trampling on our founding documents. I also don't understand why every state that had a law prohibiting sodomy was told by activist federal judges that their laws were unconstitutional. What part of the constitution allows same-sex marriage and addresses sodomy? The federal government has never issued a marriage license and should have no influence on an issue that is completely a state issue. The Supreme Court has severely damaged its credibility by becoming involved in political issues that are NOT addressed by the constitution.

Class war at its best.

The folks who are getting the free stuff don't like The folks who are paying for the free stuff, because The folks who are paying for the free stuff can no longer Afford to pay for both the free stuff and their own stuff.

And the folks who are paying for the free stuff Want the free stuff to stop.

And the folks who are getting the free stuff want even more Free stuff on top of the free stuff they are already getting!

Now... The people who are forcing the people who pay For the free stuff have told the people who are RECEIVING The free stuff that the people who are PAYING for the Free stuff are being mean, prejudiced, and r****t.

So... The people who are GETTING the free stuff have been Convinced they need to h**e the people who are paying for the Free stuff by the people who are forcing some people to pay For their free stuff and giving them the free stuff in the first place.

We have let the free stuff giving go on for so long that there Are now more people getting free stuff than paying for the Free stuff.

Now understand this.

All great democracies have committed financial suicide somewhere Between 200 and 250 years after being founded.

The reason?

The v**ers figured out they could v**e themselves money From the treasury by electing people who promised to give Them money from the treasury in exchange for electing them.

The United States officially became a Republic in 1776,
236 years ago.

The number of people now getting free stuff Outnumbers the people paying for the free stuff.

Failure to change that spells the end of the United States As we know it.

While advertised as a place for intelligent political discussion OPP is anything but. The majority of OPP visitors are fiercely disgruntled fringe right wingers of average intelligence. You will find that the majority of posts are reiteration of long disproved conspiracy theory's laced with fire and brimstone religious dogma and seasoned with a heavy dose of r****m and homophobia. a small portion of posters are progressives who with varying degrees of effectiveness point out the really agregious lies and falsehoods or the discredited sources of the nonsense that has been posted. The reaction of the various, Birchers, Klansmen, snake handlers and other assorted peckerwoods is pretty predictable when their pissing and moaning is disproven with t***h and fact. This is where the fun begins!  It becomes hissy-fit time when with grand false bravado they spit out fantasies about taking up arms against the government, seceding from the union, impeaching the president, deporting the immigrants and sending b****s to Africa. Schoolyard taunts and insults fly as any small semblance of reason these folks contain is replaced by h**eful rage.  Wether you are commuting to work on the subway or sitting down to drop that morning deuce use your smartphone and take a shot! trust me it is more entertaining than another bout of angry birds, besides a few of these folks may actually learn something. 

As long as you ignore reality you will be ignorant of it - perhaps you want to tell the world how much of other Boehner comments you accept as fact.

I don't need Boehner to interpret reality for me - his House passed a continuing resolution that fully funded the government with the proviso of delaying the individual mandate - a fact. Obama and Reid refused to even discuss this - a fact. Consequently, the federal government experienced a partial shutdown - fact. Now, Obama, unilaterally de facto delayed the individual mandate - a fact. Ergo, the partial shutdown was the result of Obama refusing to accept what he now clearly indicates was fully acceptable.
