You mean that Hackers can break into highly confidential and highly secured Government protected info, but they can't yours? I bet you just put out a Challenge to at least one or two.

I think you all are missing my point. Yes, they could hack the ACA website and get my information, but it will do them no good. Some one tried to open an account under my wife's name a couple of years ago but we were notified of the attempt via her phone and asked if we verify the t***saction. We did not and the person was arrested on the spot. It turned out to be one of her co-workers who had gone through her purse one night.

And no, no one is hacking my system, I built it myself and even if they do manage to hack into it, after breaching the 3rd tier of the firewall they will activate a worm that I wrote that will erase the line code recognition for their hard drive. It obliterates their Operating System as if it never existed and is un-recoverable.

Besides, hackers go after Windows/Mac operating systems since they have generic root systems that use identical line codes with the same programmer access ports. I use virtual PC so my system looks like a Windows based system but it is all Linux underneath.

The Statue of Liberty inscription as most people know it, because this is all they teach in schools.

Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me,
I lift my lamp beside the golden door!'

The full original sonnet written by poet Emma Lazarus, titled “The New Colossus”

"Not like the brazen giant of Greek fame,
With conquering limbs astride from land to land;
Here at our sea-washed, sunset gates shall stand
A mighty woman with a torch, whose flame
Is the imprisoned lightning, and her name
Mother of Exiles. From her beacon-hand
Glows world-wide welcome; her mild eyes command
The air-bridged harbor that twin cities frame.
"Keep, ancient lands, your storied pomp!" cries she
With silent lips. "Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed to me,
I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"

Sadly, this sentiment is not exactly viable in the USA of today. In 1876 when this inscription was penned as a motto for our country the purpose was a single minded on, populate the country so that it could grow. The immigrants that found their way here were not greeted with scores of politicians offering them free health care, free food, free housing, etc. They faced an extremely hard scrabble existence that many of them did not survive. Those who did built this nation through hard work and sacrifice. Success or failure was determined only by each individual’s resolve, and the cooperation of those individuals within a community. The populace was dependent on themselves and their neighbor’s hard work and shared goals for prosperity. Those who would not contribute were cast out and left to their own devices. The government exercised no control over these people allowing them to make and enforce their own societal rules under local jurisdiction. The people mostly governed themselves with a strong leaning towards canon law or religious based morality to establish communal responsibilities and behavior. They were quite successful.

The population of the United States on January 1st 1876 was approximately 54,261,834.

The US population today, 317,104,210.

According to popular estimations (not fact) we are quickly approaching an unsustainable population given our current infrastructure and economic system. In a nutshell, the influx of immigrants into our country is beginning to overburden our socioeconomic stability. The DHS who tracks and reports the statistics on immigration is less than forthcoming when it comes to verifiable statistics so I have to rely on private research organizations estimates. The consensus I found estimates immigrant population in 2012 at 48 million legal and illegal combined with a full 2/3 or more being illegal. (again, these are only estimates, and not verified). That is over 31 million people or over 9.7% of the total population.

The vast majority of i*****l i*******ts into our country come from Latin America, (south of the border). I cannot blame these people for trying to make a better life for themselves and their families; I would probably be doing the exact same thing if I were in their position. If you minus the criminals most of these people are hardworking, solid individuals who could be a real asset to our country if they just did it the right way. Since they do not, they create a serious drain on economic resources since most of them do not pay taxes, yet they get food stamps and other government aid including free schooling/healthcare for their children and housing subsidies without putting any money back through taxes. Many of them only spend a small amount of the money they earn here into our economy with most of it being sent to their family in their country of origin which means it goes into their economy, not ours. This all t***slates into billions of dollars being paid out or as lost revenue with little or no return to the taxpayers who fund these programs. I say this all of the time, the government does not have any money other than what we the taxpayers provide. The government is not footing this bill, we are.

So what can we do? Every one already knows the answer to that question, it is just a question of doing it. Immigration is a hot topic right now and the people need to speak up.

The why. Obama and the liberals are pushing this country towards socialism, they have been since the 1950’s and they are not going to stop on their own. The more unsustainable/unstable they can make our country/economy the easier it will be to open the door into globalization, a world economy that would negate our constitution and individual liberties.

The left is getting tired of the tolerance of Christians and conservatives and Republicans and well, Americans for that matter. So tired, in fact, that they are hell-bent on imposing upon everyone their ideology. We must accept what they believe to be true. This is true of history, science, government, and morality. They don't want lip service, they want confession, repentance and acceptance. Their is no room for "diversity" of opinion.

Back in September the California legislature shelved or put on "inactive" SB323, a bill that would have forced you and me to accept “G****r Identity”! Not just be tolerant of individuals (which we already are), but to openly accept it or be taxed "penalized" by force of law -- much like the Affordable Care Act or Obamacare.

Put on your hard hats, the politically correct f*****ts are at it again. Their utopian visions will be achieved even if it means setting aside their so-called tolerant, peaceful, pacifist self delusions and beating everyone into submission through legislative action. They cannot win with words, so they'll impose through the hammer of law.

Religious based groups from Boy and Girl Scouts to Special Olympics, 4-H, Future Farmers of America and even youth sports teams like Little League baseball and Pop Warner football will be forced to accept and acknowledge L**T (Lesbians Gays Bi-Sexual and T*********r) individuals under penalty of law by revoking their tax exempt status for non compliance. SB323 has been shelved until 2014, but make no mistake, it will be resurrected.

SB323 is a clever way to k**l two birds with one stone. Knowing that devout Christians will not give in to this immorality -- it becomes a shrewd back door plan by the liberal progressive politically correct mob to gain the bounty of tax revenue currently outside their reach of non-profits. But that isn't the end of it. These ideological utopians know full well that -- this foot in the door bill -- will allow them to have their cake and eat it too. Ultimately their desire is to impose their will on all individuals who fail to bow down to the golden calf of g****r identity, which must necessarily include the rejection of God's prohibition on sexual immorality.

The tyrannical boot of those intolerant to God's law, will, in good conscience, strip from you your freedom of conscience, under the guise of tolerance, fairness and e******y. A foundational fundamental principle our Founding Fathers embedded in our Constitution within the Bill of Rights First Amendment, and ultimately what they pledged their lives, fortunes and sacred honor upon. Make no mistake about it. If this laws passes, you will eventually be forced to accept this a*********n in all aspects of your life. You will be forced to accept it in your private organizations, churches, and it will be a tool of indoctrination in the schools, even home schools, through mandatory curriculum.

toleranceThe issues of L**T, from gay rights to homosexual marriage, so permeates our society today that we are swimming in it. It is everywhere -- cheered, celebrated -- from Hollywood to the White House, from businesses to universities, from public school class rooms to liberal churches, and they say it must also now be part of your worldview as well.

Actually some of us -- like those in California -- are drowning in it. The religiously intolerant in our culture today wield the club of submission -- albeit falsely -- under the guise of e******y and fairness. Many never speak up for fear of the reputation bruising lashes from a bullying political correct clan that forces those who reject their sexual perversions to sit through punitive sensitive training classes or worse have their reputations dismembered in the public square.

We are living at a time of profound cultural degradation akin to having to sit in a vile cesspool of societal sin and pretend not to notice. The stench of immorality fills the air. Many attempt with all their might not to vomit on its vapors because it will only give them away in a culture that seeks them out and turns them in. I, for, one choke on the thought of what our children will face in this brave new world into which America collapses. The nation we are leaving to our children is certainly not the nation our parents and grand-parents left to us, let alone the nation of virtue our Founding Fathers so honorably gave to us.

R.L. Conover
The left is getting tired of the tolerance of Chri... (show quote)

Ten reasons liberals h**e Christians:

1) Liberals are relativists and h**e Christians because Christians believe in absolute t***h.
2) Liberals do not want anyone to say that immorality is immoral.
3) Liberals are selfish and are more interested in their "feelings" then they are with what is right for others.
4) Liberals misunderstand what Christians really believe.
5) Since liberals see themselves as the superior enlighten ones they do not recognize that taking a position against their position is not automatically h**e.
6) Liberals do not want to listen to what makes sense, they would rather listen to their senses.
7) Liberals ignore the clear evidence of the result of their philosophical positions influence on the last 40 years. It had been a social disaster and they do not want to hear it.
8) They see Christians as intellectually inferior.
9) Liberals see Christians as wanting to impose their religion on them when in t***h it is the liberals who have used the courts system to impose their secular humanism religion on all of us.
10) Liberals are spiritually lost and blind to the t***h of the gospel because it contradicts their own belief system.

Agreed. Nothing in the Constitution guarantees people the right to anything more than the freedom and opportunity to make their own way. There is no guarantee of success.

I liken it to growing up on a ranch as I did. My parents would literally refuse to feed us if we did not want to work. I will tell you this, you get off your ass and go do your work pretty quick. Hard lessons bring lasting results, hand outs only foster sloth within a society.

Now, all of your information is available to hackers. Sorry, I wouldn't go near this web site.

Yeah let them try, I run Linux Red Hat as my operating system with a four tier firewall (132 bit encryption on each). If some one so much as pings my IP address I know about it. I am virtually un-hack able. As for my info being out there, I am covered there as well, no one can access my accounts, open an account in my name, or purchase anything on my credit cards unless I authorize it. Lifelock is a wonderful thing to have. Even if I make a purchase I receive a text message on my phone asking me to verify it before it can be processed. All I can say to hackers, or identity thieves is, good luck with that.

Your concerns are valid though. Not to sound arrogant but most people are not as tech savvy as I am (Linux is a programmers operating system, you have to build it from the ground up), nor can everyone afford the precautions (security software) I have in place. I would recommend Lifelock though for any one. It only costs about $25.00 a month for the Ultimate Edition. Well worth it. I believe in being over thorough so I also have TrustedID watching my back as well.

Quote Nuc: There was one other player who played one game earlier than jackie. He was allowed to play because the team claimed he was Cuban and not black. After the game, the league discovered the ruse and that ended his career and his name escapes me. But Jackie was the first openly black player in the majors but was third or fourth depending on your point of view.

I believe his name was Chet White or C.B. White who played four games for Philly in 1883 as a shortstop/third baseman. 1883 Quakers Roster:

If nothing else, ACA is encouraging companies to " rethink " their marketing. Here Blue cross blue shield is competing AGAINST the exchanges. Doing a good job too.

Exactly. The ACA plans are all based on income as to what it will cost you. Humana based my cost on what plan I chose. The high cost of the ACA plans is geared specifically towards paying for Medicaid. I work hard, and I make good money. That does mean I should pay for someone else to have health insurance.

I finally managed to get on healthcare.gov today and complete the process. I did not purchase insurance on the exchanges but was able to fully browse and compare prices and coverage.
Wisconsin opted out of the exchanges so I had to do the federal site, and it worked.
I ended up purchasing a plan from Humana that covers everything I need and is ACA compliant.

Comparison,
Eligible plan under ACA
$5000 deductible- this was a locked in deductible, I had no options
$847 a month- $10,164.00 per year

My Humana Plan,
$1500 deductible- I chose this for lower premiums, I could have went as low as $500
$395 per month- $4,740.00 per year

Over $5000.00 cheaper per year

My wife and daughter are covered under her employer coverage (also through Humana) At a $500 deductible and $433 per month so both of our insurance plans together are cheaper than what my individual plan would have been under the ACA exchanges.

You are probably thinking the same thing I was, the "AFFORDABLE" care act.

Of course that is just my situation that will undoubtedly differ from others given all things considered (like being income based) but I was shocked by the difference in cost.

I do have to note though that my experience with healthcare.gov was quick, easy, and only took about 15 minutes to complete so that I was shopping the markets. Not withstanding it took me two months to get on, I was actually impressed with it's efficiency. Very easy to use with the only drawback being that you can not refuse to accept any of the terms throughout the application process. (why even give an option)? I am so glad Wisconsin opted out of the exchanges.

Thanks everyone. I seriously doubt I will ever be a fortune 500 company just a small business owner but I am trying to fulfill a dream. You know what the craziest thing is? A quarter of a million dollars sounds like a lot but you can not believe how fast it disappears. I can literally hear a sucking sound from my bank account.
