It seems amazing, but twenty years to the day I first set foot on Chinese soil..
The initial months were trying to the extreme... And the culture shock was intense (Especially to a young boy from a small town in the back waters of BC)
Yet here I stand...
A proud husband and father..
Successful and fulfilling career..
Amazing friends from myriad backgrounds..
And a great appreciation for all those who have helped me along the way...
A special thanks to those of you on the OPP who have gifted me with your wisdom and friendships .. And a prayer for those who are no longer among us..

Her comments set off a v***l backlash on social media, with many critics voicing outrage and condemnation over the definitions. "

So, you're okay with letting criminals back on the streets to commit crimes over and over again unless or until they murder someone? It's okay for them to clean out stores of merchandise where the stores have to lock up everything or move out of crime-ridden neighborhoods and depriving honest poor people of close by shopping opportunities?

The Left's DEI must DIE! Diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) ideology has come to replace the classical liberal values of merit, fairness and e******y (MFE) in the academy, professional organizations, media, government and large technology companies. It's just another fancy name for Affirmative Action, which was recently shot down in the United States Supreme Court as a quota system for admitting students according to race vs. ability.

As far as the L***Q+ community goes, they already enough protections and rights, but the problem occurs when they want to push their lifestyles on others who don't share their same views. The t*********rs cannot force other people to call them by their preferred pronouns. We have this thing called the First Amendment that the l*****ts only follow when it suits THEM. Keep the t**********es out of the schools, and only allow age-appropriate books to be allowed in libraries for k-6. Giving in to g*****l m********n and dangerous cross-sex hormones for children is simply mindless child abuse. The doctors who are in cahoots with the t*********r fantasy are making a fortune off the simple-minded and mentally ill who believe in this dangerous farce.

Between the years 1861-1865 the United States found itself in the midst of a bitter civil war over the issue of s***ery, and several other serious disagreements. By the time the North won the war nearly 620,000 soldiers had perished. There were many in the North who were so embittered that the South had d**gged them into such a deadly conflict that they wanted the South to pay dearly.

At the end of the war, a group of Southerners gained an audience with President Abraham Lincoln. His gentle, kind and friendly personality quickly softened the hearts of his once-hardened foes and the Southerners left the interview with a deep respect for the man who had been their bitter enemy. Not long afterward, a northern congressman criticized Lincoln for "befriending the enemy!" He suggested that he should have had them shot for being t*****rs instead of welcoming them!

I love Lincoln's response. He said, simply , "Am I not destroying my enemies by making them my friends?"

If you're serving the Lord –- you can expect your share of enemies. Don't let a root of bitterness grow up because of them –- but rather, seek to win them over with gentleness, kindness, and even love. Show your enemies the Lord's grace and His peace through your Spirit-controlled response...and in so doing, you'll "heap coals" upon their heads! Satan wants to provoke you through their hatred and opposition. Don't let him! Instead, shock your enemies –- not with angry retaliation...but with Spirit empowered LOVE! Win them over; with so much work to be done, we need all the help we can get.
