The right to self-defense is a natural law and I know of no one who is questioning our right to exercise it. At issue are assault style rifles where an absolute novice can buy a gun one day along with 200 plus rounds ammo and the very next day walk into one of our schools and k**l 19 children and 2 adults. And if you read the second amendment there isn't a single word about a right to self-defense...and please, don't give me some ruling by the supreme court. We both know that what the say one day makes no difference when you get a different set of judges the next.

And what is the real reason able bodied citizens are supposed keep and bear arms...because some one like Trump attempts an i**********n and over throw of a duly elected government or because someone like Biden is going to force you little babies to drive electric cars in an attempt to repair our environment? Which one of the two do you think the founders would pick as reasoning for the second amendment...1) to protect our government from those who would over throw the democratic process or 2) to give our citizens the means to over throw a duly elected government simply because a minority of this country doesn't like the principles of the opposing parties ideology?

As for mass shootings is your argument that there aren't enough of them to give reason for changing our laws? That's absolute bull s**t. How many children need to die on the alter of the AR-15 to necessitate the changing of our laws? And since you haven't been able to figure it out the answer is that 1 child isn't worth your right to play tin soldier especially since you clearly don't know what the founders indented when they penned the second amendment. For this reason I stopped attending church services. I love the Catholic church and standing up for the poor. I found it to be disturbing to see political garbage in the church bulletins and Catholic organizations running v**ers registration booths for the purpose of registering Republicans only and pushing Democrats to switch parties .The Republican religion took over my beloved church and I felt like I had to be a republican in order to be a good Catholic. I just could not go against my gut feelings that this was wrong. The separation of Church and state is constitutional and I do believe in the constitution.
