And then there is Missouri:

Missouri has no i******s, go figure...shouldn't the other states do the same?

Missouri 's approach to the problem of i*****l i*********n appears to be more advanced, sophisticated, strict and effective than anything to date in Arizona . Does the White House appreciate what Missouri has done? So, why doesn't Missouri receive attention? Answer: There are no i******s in Missouri to demonstrate.

The "Show Me" state has again shown us how it should be done. There needs to be more publicity and exposure regarding what Missouri has done. Please pass this around.

In 2007, Missouri placed on the b****t a proposed constitutional amendment designating English as the official language of Missouri . In November, 2008, nearly 90% v**ed in favor! Thus, English became the official language for ALL governmental activity in Missouri . No individual has the right to demand government services in a language OTHER than English.

In 2 008, a measure was passed that required the Missouri Highway Patrol and other law enforcement officials to verify the immigration status of any person arrested, and inform federal authorities if the person is found to be in Missouri illegally. Missouri law enforcement officers receive specific training with respect to enforcement of federal i*********n l*ws.

In Missouri , i*****l i*******ts do NOT have access to taxpayer benefits such as food stamps or health care through Missouri Health NET.

In 2009, a measure was passed that ensures Missouri 's public institutions of higher education do NOT award financial aid to individuals who are illegally in the United States .

In Missouri , all post-secondary institutions of higher education to annually certify to the Missouri Dept. Of Higher Education that they have NOT knowingly awarded financial aid to students who are unlawfully present in the United States .

So, while Arizona has made national news for its new law, it is important to remember, Missouri has been far more proactive in addressing this horrific problem. Missouri has made it clear that i*****l i*******ts are NOT welcome in the state and they will certainly NOT receive public benefits at the expense of Missouri taxpayers.

Just wondering how you received all this information? As a matter of fact, there is no home in this country without a TV or a radio or newspapers or a grapevine. I would imagine that anyone still remaining ignorant of the law wishes to do so and will later claim ignorance. Ignorance of the law is not an excuse. This applies to laws much less advertised than the ACA. I'm sure that with "helpful" people like yourself, there will not exist any who are truly ignorant of that law. I find it interesting that you are able to foresee the future I truly don't believe you can make a living at it. Keep your day job!

You'd be surprised at how many people are uninformed. They may have TV's and radio's. But how many accually watch the news. Hell. College Graduates can't name the last 5 Presidents we've had. But I do agree that ignorance of law is no excuse. And come Apr 2015, they'll find out......

The new NBC/WSJ poll conducted November 14-17 provides a post e******n snap shot of American v**er expectations, including their priorities for actions Congress should take. Can you guess how they match up with GOP Lawmaker's priorities? It's a real shocker folks.

The People's agenda for Congress:

1. Access to lower cost student loans--80% support.
2. Increase spending on infrastructure--75%
3. Raising the minimum wage--65%
4. Emergency funding for fighting Ebola in Africa--60%
5. Addressing c*****e c****e/reducing carbon emissions--59%
6. Building Keystone Pipeline--54%

Agenda items registering below 50% support were: lowering taxes by closing loopholes; approving U.S. troops to fight ISIS in Iraq and Syria; reducing Medicare and Social Security benefits for wealthy retirees; new trade agreements with Asian nations; lowering corporate tax rates; cutting funding for ACA; path to citizenship; and raising Social Security retirement age.

I thought it would be insightful to compare America's priorities with those of our newly elected Congress. According to PolitiFact.com

House Speaker John Boehner and soon-to-be Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell have laid out some of their top legislative priorities. It’s a range of issues -- everything from dismantling the Affordable Care Act to passing international trade agreements, and shutting down the possibility of another government shutdown.
Here is PolitiFact's list in the order presented:
1. Authorize Keystone Pipeline.
2. Repeal ACA ("Obamacare")
3. Pass the "Hire More Heroes" (veterans) Act.
4. Pass T***s-Pacific Partnership trade agreement with Asia.
5. Lower corporate taxes.
6. Thwarting Obama on Immigration Executive Action.
7. Reign in the EPA and roll back environmental regulations.

In a Wall Street Journal op ed published the day after the e******n, Boehner and McConnell outline some of their legislative priorities.

Looking ahead to the next Congress, we will honor the v**ers’ trust by focusing, first, on jobs and the economy. Among other things, that means a renewed effort to debate and v**e on the many bills that passed the Republican-led House in recent years with bipartisan support, but were never even brought to a v**e by the Democratic Senate majority.
(The bolding is mine).
A distillation of the Boehner/McConnell priorities in the order presented.

1. Repeal "Obamacare."
2. Authorize the Keystone Pipeline.
3. Pass the "Hire More Heroes" (veterans) Act.
4. Restore "traditional" definition of full time work week to 40 hours (see item 1.)
5. Protect and expand America's energy boom [thanks Obama].
6. Support charter schools with tax dollars.

Keeping in mind their promise "honor the v**ers' trust" it is interesting to note that there is only one item in common with the v**ers actual agenda for Congress, which is #6 on the people's list and #2 on B & M's list. Other than that, these Republican leaders address none of the issues Americans have said are the most important; nothing about student loans or the cost of college; nothing about infrastructure, bridges and roads; nothing about the minimum wage; after all their hysteria before the e******n, nothing about money to fight the Ebola outbreak; and instead of addressing c*****e c****e and reducing carbon emissions they of course want to do just the opposite.

How is that for honoring the v**ers' trust? It is clear the GOP doesn't trust v**ers at all, because they will do everything in their power to lower v**er enthusiasm and participation, and therefore have no intention of honoring v**ers' trust by addressing the issues that matter most. The GOP agenda is the Koch Brothers' agenda. It is Sheldon Adelson's, the Walton's and the oil companies' agenda.

I somewhat agree with you. I agree with some of the peoples agenda, but I also agree with the GOP's agenda also. They(GOP) need to prioritize both lists. But that's my opinion

I believe (and this is according to me) that when we kicked God out of the schools in the mid 60's we went down hill from there. Now look at what she has become. And it's accelerating fast (Homosexuality, same sex marriage in the morjority of the states, students being persected for their faith, etc.). The list is endless. But there's one thing America can hold on to. The bible says that God is married to the backslider. I think it's found in Jerimiah. But it's only my opinion
