Morning “Joe” Crew in Panic After Learning Americans Believe Trump About Deep State

MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” was in panic mode Tuesday after a Monmouth poll showed three out of four Americans believe in the existence of a “deep state.”

“The attacks against the so-called deep state … by the president and some Republicans actually might be taking hold,” said co-host Mika Brzezinski.

“More Americans now believe that national policy is being manipulated or directed by a deep state,” she said. “That according to the newest Monmouth University poll.

“Six in 10 Americans believe that unelected or appointed government officials have too much influence in determining federal policy. Twenty-six percent say the right balance of power exists between elected and unelected officials.”

When the poll described the “deep state” as a group of unelected nongovernment officials, 75 percent of respondents said they believe there is a group of power players pulling the strings.

“When Monmouth described the term as, quote, a group of unelected government and military officials who secretly manipulate or direct national policy, nearly three in four Americans said they believe that the deep state exists,” Brzezinski continued. “One in five said it does not.”

Susan Page, Washington bureau chief for USA Today, said the poll numbers are a result of attacks against the government, and she believes people should trust the government to investigate itself.

“I think this clearly shows the effect of his attacks on governmental institutions, on the government itself,” Page said.

“This is not to say that there’s nothing — there’s never anything to investigate,” she said. “Part of our tradition is a trust, not just in the government but a trust in the government to investigate itself at times.

“But this is, I think, a new phenomenon for Americans in modern times, for a majority of Americans to believe that there’s a deep state. I think is a shocking finding.”

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that just 43% of Likely U.S. V**ers think President Trump has a plan where he wants to take the nation, but 46% disagree. Eleven percent (11%) are undecided. (To see survey question wording, click here.)

*Take us back out of a welfare country Lock the gate, come legally, and put every one to work!! And 100% made US vehicles, not a 100% assembled in the US.

*Some go along and want the same as Pres. Trump but there are Progressive Liberals that slipped into in the Republican Party and that’s where our biggest problem is.

*If you were to research which party has forced more business’s and companies out of the United States it would be the Democrat Party, I believe that in the end it's one employer the Federal Government!!!

President Donald Trump and his predecessor, Barack Obama, have at least one thing in common: identical approval and disapproval ratings in one national poll after their first year in office.

Rasmussen Reports' latest poll showed Thursday that Trump had a 46 percent approval rating compared to a 53 percent disapproval figure, which were near the same percentages Obama received at the end of 2009.
