Jesus did not die on Friday, he died on Thursday. Actually there are two Sabbaths" under consideration, and they are referenced by Mathew's account. Matthew 28:1 In the end of the sabbatwn [sabbaths(plural)], as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre.

Since Jesus was raised on the first day of the week, after TWO Sabbaths, one Saturday, and one Friday, it was Thursday on which he died.

According to the Law of Moses, the day following Passover (which is also the first day of the feast of unleavened bread) is also, always a Sabbath day of rest to be observed like the 7th day weekly Sabbath no matter what day of the week it falls on. So there are two Sabbaths referenced by the New Testament writers.

14th day = First one
Lev 23:4 These are the feasts of the LORD, even holy convocations, which ye shall proclaim in their seasons. 5 In the fourteenth day of the first month at even is the LORD'S passover.

The day FOLLOWING Passover [the first day of the feast of unleavened bread, is also a Sabbath of rest and feasting. It is to be observed as any other sabbath of the Lord.

15th day = second one
Lev 23:6 And on the fifteenth day of the same month is the feast of unleavened bread unto the LORD: seven days ye must eat unleavened bread. 7 In the first day ye shall have an holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work therein. 8 But ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD seven days: in the seventh day is an holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work therein.

14th & 15th together
Num 28:16 And in the fourteenth day of the first month is the passover of the LORD. 17 And in the fifteenth day of this month is the feast: seven days shall unleavened bread be eaten. 18 In the first day shall be an holy convocation; ye shall do no manner of servile work therein:

It was not the fact of "Sabbath" that was important, but rather the fact it was "Passover" that attracted Jesus to this time and this place. And the day following Passover is always a Sabbath of rest.

You are a victim of t***slators who have an agenda to support. There are so many mist***slations the churches today are having coffee and cookies during the services, because they have lost the function of the church.

The reason I keep to the King James t***slation, is not because it has no errors, it is because I know where many of the errors are, and do not want to learn it all again, because I am too old and tired to start over.

Bur Trinitarian theologians make claims that are not backed by the scriptures.

And to make their doctrine stronger, they threatened the lives of those with whom they disagreed. Because they did not know the scriptures.

John said "They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh, that whosoever k**leth you will think that he doeth God service. 3 And these things will they do unto you, because they have not known the Father, nor me."[John 16:2-3]

So all of those k*****gs by the Inquisition were a direct result of usurping power and ignorance; a terrible union by which to justify k*****g in the name of a God they do not know.

The t***slators continue to this day to make changes in the meaning of the Greek messages, by changing the tense of verbs, and sometimes "supplying words to make the sense in English" is the usual explanation. The real reason is, their doctrine fails if the Greek language is followed grammatically correctly.

One example should serve to illustrate the point -

John 17:5 is t***slated John 17:5 And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world(was).

The problem is, there is no justification for "WAS" at the end of the sentence, other than doctrine attempting to defend a pre-existant Jesus, sharing glory before the creation of the world.

Jesus is asking God to give to Jesus, glory that was prophesied prior to the begettal of Jesus in Mary's womb. Jesus knew the prophecies of the old testament, and was well aware of the promotion that was to be his if he successfully carried out the duties assigned to Messiah -

Isaiah 52:13 Behold, my servant shall deal prudently, he shall be exalted and extolled, and be very high.

Philippians 2:9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;

1st notice that Jesus is glorified by every tongue confessing him as Lord, but, "TO THE GLORY OF GOD THE FATHER" - which it would not be if indeed Jesus was God in the beginning. The glory would rightfully belong to Jesus, except it was God's plan, and God provided providentially, for all that was necessary for Jesus to be able to complete his mission. Glory is God's because it was HIS plan and providence that made it possible.

2nd notice "before the world" does not mean prior in time, it means in front of as location, just as it is stated of Peter, "Peter stood before the gate." Acts 12:14 And when she knew Peter's voice, she opened not the gate for gladness, but ran in, and told how Peter stood before the gate.

NOTE: in the Greek, the same form of the same Greek Preposition is used in both references. John is telling them Jesus had glory promised from the beginning, in prophecy, prophesied in front of the whole world, recorded in the most widespread and widely read scriptures in the world.

Don't allow doctrinaires to rob you of understanding that which is your by birthright.

For example, God demonstrated His existence upon the occasion wherein He predicted over two-hundred years before the event, that a king would send Israel back out of captivity, to their own country, to repair and rebuild their temple and city walls. Then, to convince that foreign king of the t***h of the matter, he named Him, for the purpose of demonstrating His (God's) existence. He named Him CYRUS, King of Persia.

Over two-hundred years later, Israel was released from captivity and sent back to Israel to rebuild their temple, and their city walls, just as God foretold, thus demonstrating His existence once and for all time. And so far, I see as evidence for your existence, one page typed on a Computor typewriter, with no foreknowledge displayed whatsoever.

By the way - Israel was NOT in captivity when the prophesy was foretold! THAT led to some of them to deny the t***h thereof. But their great-geat-great grand-progeny believed.

So the question becomes, who do you suppose I am going to believe? You, who evidence tells me is the third-generation offspring of a typewriter, with no ability to foretell anything two hundred years before its time; or God who repeatedly foretells, and fulfills the telling to the tiniest detail?

Just as science missed the lesson of when life begins in the newborn; when the sperm comingles with the egg, and the placenta takes shape for the nesting babe, and the umbilical forms between the Zygote and the Placenta, as scripture explained, THE "LIFE IS IN THE BLOOD."

Scientists really should read the bible, to make so much so plain so much sooner.

Nature, in my humble opinion, is simply another name for "GOD."

AFTER JONAH HAD AN ADVENTURE - BEING SWALLOWED BY A GREAT FISH

THE STORY IS CONTINUED IN-
Genesis 19:1 And there came two angels to Sodom at even; and Lot sat in the gate of Sodom: and Lot seeing them rose up to meet them; and he bowed himself with his face toward the ground;

Interpolating and extrapolating the number of God's people on the Earth today, and comparing the population figure of today with the population of Sodom, Ghomorrah, Admah, and Zeboim (whcih the Lord overthrew in His anger and in His wrath- Deu 29:23); and extrapolating the possible number of righteous souls in the world today, but keeping in mind the example derived from Sodom, etc., Suppose YOU are the "tenth person."

That would make God's judgment of the Earth dependant upon YOUR faithfulness to God's message of love, and repentance, helping the weak, feeding the hungry; assuming all of the preceeding... How long can we expect to wait for judgment from GOD?

I think it is because we feel a need to be recognized for our perceived righteousness, and superiority over those who not among our own righteous number.

Sometimes we even deign to debate leaders of other church groups to show our own acumen in religious thinking. The real contest should be me sinful with me righteous. When I can honestly consider my own failings, I may then learn to be gracious to others who having seen my "example" of righteousness, emulate my own behaviour, and then cannot understand when I point out the enormous flaw in their eye, having failed to see my own because of the enormity of the splinter in my own eye.

Will we ever learn? We can only hope, because "Hope" is of tomorrow, while flaws belong to today.

I sometimes get exasperated by a perception that Christians believe it is their "duty" to make laws for the world around us. Then, when they gain political power, begin to make moral laws that should be directed to the Church, not to the world.

Sinners are directed to the church by sermons that convict and inspire, not by laws that coerce. It was Paul the Apostle who championed this concept, of "Gospel to sinners, laws to Christians.

Look at how the arrangement was developed in the origin of the church:

CHRISTIANS ARE ALL PRIESTS, PRAYING FOR THE LOST WORLD OF MEN.

AND JESUS IS OUR HIGH PRIEST:

Heb 4:14 Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.

AND WE ARE MADE PRIESTS UNTO GOD:

AS PRIESTS, WE ARE TO MAKE LIVING SACRIFICE TO GOD, BY SACRIFICING OUR LIVING LIFE, GIVEN OVER TO PRAYER AND SANCTITY OF SPEACH AND BEHAVIOUR:
Rom 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

AS SAINTS OF GOD WE ARE A TEMPLE IN WHICH GOD DWELLS:
2 Cor 6:14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? 15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? 16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. 17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, 18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

OUR TASK IS ONE OF EDUCATION AND SACRIFICE AND PRAYER:
Heb 6:1 Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God, 2 Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment. 3 And this will we do, if God permit. 4 For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, 5 And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, 6 If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.

OUR FOCUS IS TO TEACH THE CHURCH AND BE EXAMPLE TO THE WORLD:
1 Cor 5:9 I wrote unto you in an epistle not to company with fornicators: 10 Yet not altogether with the fornicators of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or with idolaters; for then must ye needs go out of the world. 11 But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat. 12 For what have I to do to judge them also that are without? do not ye judge them that are within? 13 But them that are without God judgeth. Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person.

Instead, we are taught to be examples to the church and gain political power so we can legislate morality to the world. THAT is GOD'S place to operate, because it is GOD who is their judge.

Agreed, However MY focus is more centered on those who claim Church affiliation, but who have believed the current false understanding of "God is love" means we are to just love everybody, because after all, we are all sinners."

Our focus should be on acknowledging MY fault of yielding to temptation, ignoring God's help to overcome it, because I like those things by which I am tempted. Then, When we pray as the publican did in Luke - to be counted as one among many -

"The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican. 12 I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess.13 And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, NOT "God be merciful to me a sinner"- but GOD BE MERCIFUL TO ME THE SINNER."

14 I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted."[Luke 18:11-14]

This man never claimed to be "A" sinner, rather he acknowledged that in his relationship to God, "I, the man, am "THE" sinner; not one among many, but significant in my own significance.

The translators cannot admit the sinful "Self" without inclusion of the many, by declaring "since we are all sinners, consider me to be simply one among many."

No, in my relationship to the Father, He is the God, I am "THE SINNER." I admit it;, nay I claim it; no I own it. And I repent thereof, and seek first His forgiveness, then His guidance; and THEN His favour.

Then I seek to begin to teach the Saints of the Church, stop admitting Homosexual teachers and Ministers; Stop murdering the unborn, they are gifts from God; and STOP fooling ourselves into thinking we are shining examples, until in fact we shine AS examples in a sinful society.

God be praised for His mercy and patience with His humble servant.

God has always watched how Men behave in their natural habitat, whether the Nation, the State, the City, or the local tribe. If they become an Abominable group, He will judge them according to their deeds.

Since America became the Abominable pursuer of Homosexuality, and Abortion, (Baby Murder on demand) The nation has not prospered, and in fact has gone down hill since the stupidity of the 60's with their practices of "Free Love" and other "Popular" behaviours that flouted the laws of civilization.

I know for a fact, there have been enough voices raised in this election session, who cried to God "Give us the leader of YOUR CHOICE" and we will accept whatever YOU decide. We only ask that you give us one who will return this nation back to YOU in humility and repentance.

No longer stand by while Homosexuality rams "Gay pride" upon our collective soul; nor when Abortionists claim the right to murder the unborn under the falsehood that "No one knows at what point a fetus begins new life.

I can prove a fetus was alive prior to being a fetus, prior to when it became a zygote, prior to when the Sperm joined to the egg in the womb. If an any point in the process, it had not been "alive" it would by definition be "Dead." But the life of the offspring did not "begin"
at any perceived "point of conception," Rather it began in the Garden of Eden with Adam and Eve, and has come down through every generation without variation, from the first parents, and has replicated in the same fashion with neither variation nor failure.

I can even tell the Scientist how life is invested in the zygote, the fetus, and every step in the process, because God told us a long time ago, and no scientist has ever superceded that instruction, nor developed a viable alternate process.

The "Life is in the blood" which is passed by an Umbilical process into the Placenta, to the developing babe in the womb.

If science will just examine the process of life passing from one generation to another, by the study of how life passes by the process of "Blood," they can then stand silent in appreciation of "God told us in the beginning, and we weren't listening."

To kill the unborn is the greatest crime a nation can commit against Humanity, and against God from whom all new life comes as a gift from God.

We need desperately to get word to a sinful and lustful nation, it is time to take advantage of one last chance given to us by that same God, to straighten out our national "Arrogance" under the guise of "Pride" and humbly beg forgiveness for our stupidity, and return to seeking what is right and honest in the sight of God.

Why is it - Democrats remember Republicans obstructing Obama's efforts to get things done? but forget Obama's promise to veto anything republicans put to him for a signature into law? And why is it Democrats cry "foul" over Republicans efforts to v**e Obama's health care s**m out fail to remember it was never passed into law, but was "Deemed" a law by Democrats exclusively.

And why do democrats forget that Obama insisted "It is not a tax" in order to get democrats to "deem" it into law, yet when challenged in the Supreme Court it suddenly became a tax?

The only nation with a motto "In God we trust" that does not believe there is a God. It used to be a nation dev**ed to protecting their belief in God; now it is a nation that defies a belief in God. A nation that was truly founded by geniuses but is truly run by i***ts.
