Do not forget the GOP did and tried many paths to erase the Nam war from Americas thinking.. Vet programs were practically non-excistant for years, the VA funding was cut, agent orange was denied, education funding was all of $100/mo for most of us. A long list, which is owned by republicans as well as Democrats..

So we do have a bunch of vets who are liberal. That does not mean we have forgotten or forgiven the deeds of politicians of both parties..

Sarah Palin had a one-night stand with Miami Heat basketball star Glen Rice less than a year before she eloped with her husband, the book claims.

She is said to have met Glen Rice in 1987 when he was playing in a college basketball tournament in Alaska and Sarah Palin worked as a sports reporter for KTUU television.

The book also claimed that Sarah Palin had a six-month affair with Brad Hanson, who ran a snowmobile dealership with her husband Todd. The betrayal led to Todd Palin dissolving the business.

In a bid to expose Sarah Palin’s skeletons, Joe McGinness has studied the former vice p**********l candidate for three years and last year even moved in to a home next door in Wasilla, Alaska, to dig some more.

McGinness writes that after college Sarah Palin developed a “fetish” for black men.

Palin allegedly had a tryst with basketball star Glen Rice in her younger sister Molly’s University of Alaska dorm room, while she was dating Todd and just nine months before the couple were married.

Sarah Palin got pregnant with Todd and they eloped in August 1988.

Palins son Track, the oldest of five, was born eight months later in April 1989.

According to the National Enquirer, a friend said Sarah Palin spent the night with the basketball star but could not confirm whether they had sex.

Glen Rice is said to have confirmed the night of passion in Joe McGinniss’s book.

The book goes on to claim that while married Sarah Palin also had an affair with her husband’s business partner, Brad Hanson.

Todd Palin is alleged to have ended all businesses with Brad Hanson after he found out about the affair in 1996.

Sorry, waker. It was in response to the responses to the joke. We're admonished to rise above. If we continue to do that, there will be no conservatives to speak of. Yes we have standards and the joke, although funny, did twang my conscience. They don't seem hobbled by "standards ". How do we combat that? Our repubs are weak kneed or in on it. How else to explain their ineptitude in dealing with this morass. I would consider someone on either side a hero if they would just stand for US. Speak with courage act with resolve. How long since we saw that?

A little girl wrote to Sarah Palin asking, "How did the human race start?". Sarah Palin answered, "God made Adam and Eve, they had children and all mankind was made."

That left me to make both the morning and afternoon log and inspections at the crater. 

After the first round, I went over to Chiloquin and joined the Klamath natives having service at the community center. I couldn't stay long but I enjoyed all I could before heading back to the crater,

The Sunday afternoon traffic around the crater was surprisingly busy. This is probably the most popular park we have studied so far. 

I like to imagine this place as it was before humans discovered it. I think that maybe if I had been the first man to see this place, I may have been inclined to keep it a secret.

Well, one more day of Crater Lake. It's sure been a splendid experience.
