Death of James Garner

I was saddened to read of the death of James Garner. He was always one of my favorite actors. To me, he was the common man's version of Cary Grant. He was one of the first actors to easily t***sition from movies to TV and back, again. His 'Murphy's Romance', with Sally Fields, and 'The Notebook', were just two of my favorites with him. I also enjoyed his role in 'The Great Escape.' His ability to easily t***sfer from leading man to 'grandpa' roles endeared him to me and most likely, many others. He was a 'maverick' in more ways than one!

I thought he deserved at least a heads-up from one of his biggest fans. R.I.P., Jim.

I am also a big fan of Garner. I own the entire Rockford Files series. I am saddened by his passing.

His 'Support Your Local Sheriff' movie was one of the funniest westerns ever made...up there with 'Blazing Saddles', IMHO.

The sequel, though good, felt short of the original.

"felt" and fell short, mayhaps?

Having said that, I watched neither. You are our movie aficionado and critic.

Your lack of sleep is catching up. My eye strain has caught me several times in the last day or two.

Because of BearK's prayer for my recovery, the headache is gone. The eye strain itself will take a bit longer. I did it to myself. Can you spell stupid AuntieE? I can! :hunf:

I could think of several less than flattering descriptive words for the woman seeking to lop off my head, but 'stupid' would not make that long list. :?
