I was trying to point out the pysch element here. The grandparents are to hypersensitive about anything being said about this child. Perhaps they need help in realizing any parent of any child that dresses the way this child does would get the same letter from the school. Yes they could have conformed, but they felt insulted perhaps. Yes they had choices and yes they chose to remove her from the school. The school is not to blame. The fact her name is Sunnie certainly has not helped clear up her g****r for the other children. I hope someone can point out to the parents that they didn't process the incident correctly. Hopefully someone could investigate this further and if I am right encourage them to get the help they need. Thank you for your nice comment about my daughter.

What in the Bleep are you people worrying about. One say the earth is in a state of g****l w*****g. Another calls him a liar. It goes on and on. The reason we see this meme so often is this. Democratic ideals favor the Demographics of the Democratic party. As numerous people have noted, they just aren't manufacturing angry Republican white males as fast as they used to.

The Republicans can read (mostly). They are frightened by the fact that more minority babies than white ones were born this past year. They are frightened of having a president who they view as "not one of us".

I saw you talking about Jesus, Gen. Boykin, and things like that not how leaner senators talk. You did not talk about guns other than the reference to one type of weapon and that was only the name of it. You really didn't talk about profanity other than to say that we don't like to hear that kind of talk in the state house. You did see someone say there that that kind of language wouldn't be allowed in the halls of a high school. Well, not here in flyover country, anyway. I don't know about California.

I watched the video. Senator Miller could have used a better choice of words...not a great sound-byte for his next political campaign.

That being said, I never cease to be amazed by Republicans who are more offended by street references to bodily functions than they are by children being gunned down in the classroom or our leaders being gunned down by angry men with guns.

There are definitely misplaced values at work here. Some of these NRA bible thumpers, like Gen. Boykin, even have the chutzpah to say that Jesus would have carried an AR-15.

I think Senator Miller should have chosen his words more carefully, however I can totally understand his frustrations with the Wayne-Lapierre-Pepe' Le-Peu-lock-and-loaded crowd.

Yes, thumbs up to the fact his children turned out fine even if they wore jeans and shot hoops or wh**ever. Do I think children need guidelines and discipline? Yes. Do I think that private schools can set their own "rules"? Yes. Do I have to agree with those "rules"? No. Do I think this whole thread is really THAT important? No. And thumbs up to his insinuation that the school is pole vaulting over mouse turds over great unnecessary fears. Would I have chosen different words? Depends on my mood I suppose, but probably. As for my moniker. Take it as you like. I am offended by a lot of blatant r****m, hatred, and outright lies on here, but we do have a first amendment that seems more and more to be picked and chosen on how it is applied. Allow a child too much freedom??? They might turn out to be an artist or a musician, wear the "wrong" hair or clothing style, and horror of horrors, not want to enlist for more structured authoritarian abuse when they turn 18.
