[quote=aquila]Good Morning:

I was reading recently how some right-wing m*****a groups were going to places like Starbucks armed to the teeth in order to show they are going to use their gun rights no matter what.

OK. So I was wondering that since this is perfectly legal and most everyone forms no objection to that if it would also be ok if a socialist group would go to Starbucks armed to the teeth or would they be arrested for something.

You might justify arresting a c*******t group as they advocate the forcible removable of our government. But a socialist group advocates change through the b****t box.

So what do you all think? I was hoping for some original thought here instead of just the sound bites that most writers here are capable of.

Thanks

Looks like the sign stating "No Shoes No Service" needs to be updated at restaurants and the like.
IMO, if a person has a license to carry concealed all well and good. This person has been supposedly cleared by the State to do so....at least in THAT State. In Georgia, for instance, even with such a license, it used to be unlawful to carry a firearm "at a public gathering" conveniently omitting the definition of a "public gathering."
If I were that manager of the Starbucks for instance, I would simply ask those openly carrying firearms to leave. A clear case of my right as manager to supersede those of the firearm totter(s) within the confines of the establishment.
Common sense would dictate that a municipal ordinance/State Law would ban people from walking down a crowded city street openly "armed to the teeth". If such a law/ordinance doesn't exist it soon will be enacted. The public alarm alone would be enough to make an arrest for disorderly conduct.
These are scary times.

What a machete attack looks like.
Was it the gang known as MS-13 that uses these weapons to k**l and mane their rivals? Looks like they started a new trend.

For many of us these days you have to lie to yourself in order to think of yourself as not being prejudice. There has been a low level race war raging inside our nation since the mid 1960's. The evidence is everywhere if you take your head out of the sand and just look around.
Our jails are crammed with over 2,000,000 felons with millions more on felony parole and probation. Most of these people are Black and Hispanic. There is the local 6PM news broadcasts that daily highlight everything from murder to the knockout game. Black and Latino gangs are ignored by the Dept. of Justice and their multitude of crimes are left largely to overworked, underfunded and undermanned local police agencies. What's up with that Eric?
I could go on and on...but why?
To further support my argument I attached the following link. It MIGHT open the eyes for some of you....

If W****s were committing crimes against B****s at the rate the above liked site reports, there would be no doubt of a massive backlash. But that t***h alone is enough for me labeled as a bigot....so I guess I am.

The idea of the use of the word "marriage" is what I disagree with. Of course, lawyers who just happen to make up most of the political apparatus that decide these things are all for it. It's a bonanza for them. Divorce attorneys in particular.

It should be called what it is..."Gay Union".

Could it be that the American people have finally realized that it's not possible to make chicken soup out of chicken s**t?

Lookout when the government is forced to substantially reduce welfare benefits. What will the reaction of the freeloaders be? Will the streets run red with blood? Will massive fires in most sizable American cities go temporarily unchecked because firefighters are being ambushed?
Is the government preparing for just such a scenario with the creation of vast "FEMA camps", the purchase of a billion hollow point bullets and the idea of arming some federal agencies?
Don't think for a moment that the freeloaders are mostly unarmed. They have to reside in high crime neighborhoods day and night where owning a firearm is viewed as a necessity.
Oh, one more thing. With our national debt nearing 18 trillion dollars and unfunded liabilities amounting to over a 100 trillion dollars how long do you think the economy can stay afloat? When there is a run to ditch a near worthless dollar in favor of gold and silver then my friend it'll be too late to prepare for the coming chaos.
I hope I'm wrong.

BJ the whiner. If he's not whining about something he's attacking anybody with a different point of view.
It's nice to know that a Confederate F**g flying over state government buildings in Columbia is enough to make him avoid
the state that I call home. If that wasn't enough I'd unfurl
a Tea Party banner in his honor.
Avoid SC BJ. Do it just like I'd avoid a San Francisco public park's bathroom at twilight time.

Noted civil rights leader and 2 term mayor of Atlanta, Andrew Young, was once quoted as saying that a city starts to die when its Black population reaches 75%.
Let Detroit stand as it is....a visual consequence of liberal programs coupled with a one man one v**e political system.
Can you imagine living in Detroit where a heavily overburdened police department has zero chance of restoring any semblance of order?
Hard to blame the evil minded Republicans when Detroit hasn't had anything other than a Democrat mayor since about 1962.
Our resident liberals on this site, who constantly demand evidence of
conservative accusations, ignore "Exhibit A" which is the City of Detroit.

I was in Costa Rica and got bit my a spider and my arm started blowing up. They started me on intervenous barbaric form of antibiotics. After about 9 days I could see they were milking me and I said I wanted discharged. They had taken my cloths out of the locker and all I had was the robe. I started down the stairs and was of course stopped at the entrance. They said I couldn't leave in their robe and wouldn't give me my cloths so I took off the robe and you should have seen them jump on me to get that robe back on. They aren't used to American stubbornness.
My husband wasn't there and I hadn't wanted to worry him so didn't call him but what got me out was that there was a woman who had had a stroke and when they took her for a test a nurse tried to steal her cell phone and I took it and put it in my drawer. When the woman got back I wasn't in the room and she thought I had stolen it. I gave it to her and she still thought I had stolen it. Her son came to vist and I explained what had happened to him and next thing I know she handed me her card and told me that was my get out of jail free card if I ever needed her. Here she was the head of immagracion in San Jose. I was out in about an hour and catching a bus out of Limon as quick as I could.

These guys weren't cops. Federal security guards at best.
I'd have handled it as follows: "They want you to stay and get treatment here because they think you might not make it alive to the other VA hospital. Knowing this, do you still want to leave? You do? Okay, have a nice day."
There was no need to get physical...just back off and let him leave.
I know it sounds paradoxical but they thought they were saving his life by forcing him to stay.
Proof that no good deed goes unpunished.

I guess every problem is a nail after all.

"An analyst says Washington’s most recent act of military provocation against China is in retaliation for Beijing’s decision to trade in its own currency and undermine the US dollar, Press TV reports.

Jim W. Dean made the remarks when talking to Press TV on Saturday about the US deployment of two of its most advanced long-distance surveillance drones to a base in northern Japan to spy on North Korea and China.

“The big issue behind all of this is China setting up its own reserve currency with Russia, which is a threat to the [US] dollar supremacy,” he said.

The analyst added that the decision by Moscow and Beijing to have their own trading currencies would “eliminate the [US] weapon” of imposing sanctions against the two countries using the dollar.

“This military shadow boxing is just a threat that if you proceed in this direction we are going to make problems for you,” Dean added.

Earlier this month, Russian President Putin and his Chinese counterpart, Xi Jinping, signed multiple cooperation agreements in Shanghai.

The two leaders signed 49 deals in the fields of energy, t***sport and infrastructure which would enable the two countries to bypass the US dollar and pay each other in domestic currencies. The move is expected to undercut the domination of the greenback as the international reserve currency.

In recent years, Moscow and Beijing have sought to strengthen their ties to contain Washington."

"The Philippines or South Vietnam"? They need to put this Dean guy out to pasture.
The next war isn't going to be nuclear for the same reason the major powers didn't use gas against each other in WW2. Look at it this way, the idea of a nuclear winter is a better deterrent than the consequences of unleashing poison gas ever was.
If they want to punish somebody for destroying the Dollar's status then they don't have to look any farther then Capitol Hill.
On the other hand, a new world war would solve a plethora of problems for the winning side. Our window for victory in such a war is shrinking daily and our military honchos know it.

Most theoretical physicists believe that we live in a multi-verse rather than a universe.
The next time you're driving down the highway notice those singular white stripes that define a lane. If you added all of them up that you drove past during an average lifetime, the total would represent a tiny fraction compared to the number of galaxies there are in THIS universe.
Sorry to break the news to those who think that we on this planet have some special relationship with the Creator.
Kaku gives our world only a 3 in 10 chance of making it 100 more years. Religion and politics mixed with nuclear bombs, you know.

Yikes...another example of abuse of power in the extreme. Keep citing these kind of examples and I'm going to be forced to quit telling folks that I'm a retired big city cop.
There is a preliminary lookout that is always given by the first officer to arrive on the scene. For example, "cars be on the lookout for a white male 30 to 35 years of age, clean shaved, blonde hair, standing 6' tall, last seen wearing a black pullover long sleeved shirt and blue jeans. Suspect displayed and pointed a pistol of unknown caliber at the teller. Last seen exiting the bank and heading south on main street."
The point is that they had at least that much information as far as a suspect is concerned. They weren't operating blindly.
Patty, I couldn't bring myself to read the entire post. I've seen police act in an excessive fashion when one of theirs is shot. When I got shot in a housing project the bad guy was seen running to a particular apartment. Of course, no one inside the apartment would cooperate. When told of that fact a hour later, a high ranking police officer marched inside the apartment and exited 5 minutes later with all the information needed to make an arrest 20 minutes later.
You got any police feel good stories? I'd guess that you recently got caught in a speed trap. I can see it now..."Ma'am, you were traveling $350. over the speed limit."

China and Russia have signed a deal for China to buy 400 Billion dollars worth of natural gas from Russia.

The U.S. has enormous amounts of natural gas and is drilling for it and recovering at a rapid pace.

It's very likely that we could be selling gas to China, reducing the trade deficit, and employing thousands more in drilling and shipping natural gas if Obama had not alienated Russia by meddling in Syria and The Ukraine.

The other reason behind the deal is an effort to unseat the Petrodollar. Included in this agreement (from what I've read) is a cooperation AND security agreement with Iran. China and Russia would come to the aid of Iran if its attacked by Israel or NATO.
This means that Iran could and probably will resume work on developing nuclear bombs.
They are taking advantage of a weak and indecisive U S president whose leadership has jeopardized our national security.
Heck of a price to pay to advance the concept of diversity.

The whole criminal justice system needs to be overhauled. Remember when an obviously guilty OJ walked of court after brutally murdering two persons in order to look for the real k**ler on various golf courses? Who ended up going to jail in that case? The lead detective.
We need a 21st century remake of the whole rotten system.
The above mentioned OJ case should be all the proof needed to end the jury system. I favor a 3 judge tribunal for felony cases.
