How do you think the historians deal with trump's i**********n?

Great question. It depends largely on how the GOP decides to proceed with the impeachment trial. Will they agree and not allow him to run for office again? It's interesting to watch if they decide with their own political careers in mind or if they will side with the House and show those responsible for the i**********n that it was a very bad choice to listen to him in the first place. Time will tell. I do know that s******nists have changed how open the city of DC will be in the future. Sad for so many wanting to visit the nation's capital. The other variable would be how Trump proceeds. Will he go back to private life and keep a low profile or will he attempt to exert his influence going forward. GOP leaders will have to deal with that. Thanks for posting!!

More:
"I don't see any way Trump could move up from the bottom of the list of our survey," he says.

William Howell says: "Being impeached twice is not solid ground to rise in the rankings. I don't think there is any chance of the kind of ascension Truman has had over time for Trump."

He says future events will determine just how poorly Trump is regarded. "Is it the story of him being a narcissist and a clown – or as an aspiring autocrat who did fundamental and enduring damage to our democracy?"

MeadowFields, How is it that you haven't figured out that sociallism is an affront to our Republic?

Hello eageleye 13,
Great question, if you'll give me the liberty of giving you my answer, as well. I see that there are many components our our American society that are socialistic including, your local services like police and fire, town, state services that are offered to each citizen regardless of their ability to pay. Social security is another good example. This "Great American Experiment", I believe has integrated some forms of socialism into our capitalist political system as it has favored the rich. Socialism for the rich and capitalism for the poor is a classical political-economic argument that states that, in advanced capitalist societies, state policies assure that more resources flow to the rich than to the poor, for example in the form of t***sfer payments. In our case, taxes takes care of that wealth t***sfer. Or should I say wealth is sheltered from distribution. We don't have a pure, free market system, we know that. We have crony capitalism that aims to favor American businesses through favors for politicians. Money marries power. Mean wages have not risen. You have to get higher education or work more hours to earn more money. Socialism is definitely an affront to our Republic from the standpoint of those Americans who are not part of the wealthy or ruling class. In many ways, the rich stay rich because our political system sets up an economic system to favor the rich.

Surf and turf? Great way to celebrate! Enjoy! With things being as crazy as they have been over the past week, I noticed today that I'm over the top happy about Wednesday. Still pinching myself. Confident that the NG presence in D.C. and around the country will keep things safe and a lid on the crazy.
So many things to celebrate! Here's to:
1) Every candidate that won to help keep the House and take back the Senate
2) The opportunity to right the ship and move forward getting things back to as normal as possible
3) Big Tech for quieting things down and preventing more violence so the country could have a smooth t***sition
4) Free Speech, like Freedom it isn't free.

May every American experience the opportunity to voice their opinion and use their voice for positive change.

Is the system r****d, absolutely!! Career politicians have a great gig. The machine is broken. The two party system keeps the country in gridlock, hijacked by greed and power. Let them eat cake? We get the crumbs. Learn about wealth and health disparities. Learn about mean wages. Globalism ruined this country, gutting the middle class. No jobs for men, no future visualized. To be honest with you, I believe things will get worse and it scares me.

Exclusive: ‘Boogaloo Boi’ Leader Who Aligns with Black L***s M****r Boasted About Organizing Armed I**********n On US Capitol
By Alicia Powe
Published January 17, 2021 at 1:20pm

Contrary to allegations leveled by the political left and their allies in the mainstream media, anti-Trump groups primarily perpetrated i**********n on the U.S. Capitol on J*** 6.

The Gateway Pundit has obtained archived tweets from Mike Dunn, leader of “Boogaloo Bois,” an anti-government, anti-Trump group whose adherents call for a revolution toppling the federal government.

As r****rs roamed the U.S. Capitol, Dunn boasted on Twitter about Boogaloo “fireteams” being employed inside the Capitol building. to taunt “tyrants” like Trump.

Boogaloo Boi “teams have been activated in VA and we currently have 4 fireteams inside capital and 7 more outside, he tweeted.

The goal of swarming the home of the U.S. House of Representatives and Senate is “to revel in the breach of security while mocking the defenses that protect tyrants…whether that be Trump or others,” Dunn

Following the assault on the Capitol, Dunn issued a statement on Parler claiming credit for organizing the breach.

After Air Force veteran Ashli Babbitt was shot and k**led in the Capitol, Dunn argued “feds drew first blood years ago” and are “fair game now.”

While establishment Republicans and Democrats and the mainstream media continue to blame Trump and his supporters for violent r**ts at the Capitol, they have entirely ignored a Jan. 8 Reuters interview in which Dunn admits “three or four groups of loyalists under his command helped storm the Capitol” and “embraced the moment to strike against the government.”

Asked whether Boogaloos had planned to attack the Capitol on J*** 6, he told the publication, “Just know there is more to come.”

The 22-year-old Boogaloo leader and Virginia resident bragged about “infiltrating” MAGA during the r**t and scoffed at Trump supporters for adhering to the 6pm citywide curfew for the District of Columbia mandated on J** 6.

“After MAGA and others stormed the capital building in a moment of anger (which was cool)…they retreated to hotels to comply with the Curfew. We obviously didn’t…stayed out in the streets until 12,” he tweeted.

In response to a Twitter user who lamented the r****rs in the Capitol building “were infiltrators, not real MAGA,” Dunn gloated, “Yeh, we know.”

A Google search of the Boogaloo movement would lead you to believe the group is comprised of “far right,” “w***e s*********t” Trump supporters. But, the Boogaloo Bois are actually a far-left group aligned with Black L***s M****r in their disdain for Trump and Republicans.

Following the death of G****e F***d, Boogaloo cells across the U.S. participated in and supported B*M rallies.

On Saturday, Dunn was spotted in front of the VA State Capitol holding a firearm and providing security for Black L***s M****r protesters, despite newly enacted legislation that ban guns at the Capitol and

Why hasn’t Mike Dunn been arrested by the FBI?

So, then, if what your saying is true, how do we as American's handle it? Who's in charge of rounding up the trouble makers? To be honest with you, it's a far more likely scenario that federal agents were involved posing on both sides. Infiltrating and smoking out the fringe groups both left and right. Enticing them to march. That mission was certainly a success. If you can, you cut off the head of the snake.

Why a much harsher punishment for the r****rs at the Capital? Lots of reasons:
1) Trump sent them.
2) Government officials didn't take kindly to being threatened with physical harm.
3) Hallowed ground on which our forefathers founded this nation.
4) If it was a set-up, the doors were left open. They were waiting as patriots walked into an ambush.
5) W***e s*******y and h**e trump the anger of an oppressed population

Ummm, by calling the Georgia Secretary of State 18 times to request he "find v**es?" Why do you think the Secretary waited almost two weeks to take Trump's call? Well, honestly, I'm sure he was trying to ignore Trump but he was also getting expert legal advice on how to handle speaking to the President who would be attempting to break the law and request that he break the law.

Who does that? Trump does that.

How do we put a mirror in front of those conscientious stupid people to reflect their ignorance?

This task is clearly on the GOP to keep this fringe under control at the same time keep the base engaged by changing the narrative, "Yes, we're all angry but this isn't how we change our country....." Can the GOP steer them away from running themselves right off the cliff? Hard to tell just how fractured the right is. Things have to shake out. Perhaps the $1200 stimulus check will quiet some briefly (a stunning example of socialism, IMO). Trials for those arrested for i**********n will deter others.

No better day than today to remember the famous words of Martin Luther King, "Nothing in the world is more dangerous than sincere ignorance & conscientious stupidity”.

When a self proclaimed "patriot" films him/herself breaking and entering a federal building, I can think of no other situation that best reflects the concept of conscientious stupidity. Choosing to believe lies, blinded by ignorance and fear. Will the Dunning-Kruger effect lead to the fall of the American Empire?
