greetings forumi am a 64 year young vietnam veteran, i am college educated with the arts, political science,and various other topics music, photography,and the reason im registered here, i hope this will give me a forum to hear and express the t***h about us domestic policies, and worldwide issues. i wanted to establish a personal blog site, however i didnt want to spend the time dealing with this type of set-up and all the problems that ensues, this site may serve my purpose , i trust.i have a 35 year young daughter and prior to having her come into this world despite my previous negative feelings on this planet and past dealings with people i was optomistic, and since then i realized i had no reason to be given the history of mankind.the same insanity exist today. i wish to make a positive change where i may, so that is why i am here wish me luck sincerely bruce lee hing

How much courage does it require to take bribes from the NRA and Big Oil to continue being their shills in Congress? How much courage does it take to take food from hungry children and cut spending on the education that will allow them to have better lives? How much courage does it take to try to cut Social Security while giving tax breaks and subsidies to trillionaires?
Oh, yeah, conservatives have a lot of courage: blaming the unemployed for being fired so the corporations could send their jobs overseas...cutting SNAP and blaming it on those who cannot afford to buy food. Yeah, those conservatives have a LOT of courage!! Let's not forget how they are trying to break the law (ROE V WADE) by making it virtually impossible to get a safe a******n - and then calling those girls baby-k**lers!
And, let's hear it for bullies who use their power to beat up on the weak and defenseless, while letting the powerful corporations dictate their actions.
What DOES take courage is standing up for those who cannot stand up for themselves. And THAT'S why I gave up being a Republican. There is not ONE reepub who has earned my respect. When one does, I will v**e for him.
In the meantime, President Obama is doing the best he can under the circumstances. He can only suggest; Congress must put the action to it, and they are doing everything they can to block or defeat any good idea he puts forth. Then they say it's all his fault that nothing is being done. The best thing that will happen in 2014 is that they will lose their jobs and be replaced by people who actually CARE about the future of this nation.

He was born in Hawaii after it became a state. The REPUBLICAN governor of the state verified his birth certificate. The Supreme Court even looked into it and certified that he was a viable candidate even before the first time he was elected. How does that make him not a natural born American?
And, if this is your only problem with him, why are you so unwilling to admit you're WRONG and focus on actual issues, like the reepubs in Congress who want to cut Social Security and have already cut funding for Head Start and Planned Parenthood, while refusing to allow the jobs creation and immigration Bills even come to a v**e?
Or, are you jut a dumb bigoted redneck who can't see beyond the color of a person's skin?

You lefties care about the destruction of America, I'll buy that. You sure as hell have not cared about any of Obama's destructive policies, destroying America one executive order at time.

Gentle with me? You mean you have spared me the usual expletives and nonsensical BS you lefties like to throw at us conservatives because you can't back up your argument? If Obama's policies are so good, why is the economy in such bad shape? Every other post-WWII president that has inherited a recession has been able to turn the economy around in 1 to 2 years after taking office - and with opposing parties controlling the Senate or the House, or both. The dirty little t***h is Obama is incapable of turning around the economy, and on top of that he does not want to. His goal (as well as the Democrats) is to build a large permanent underclass, therefore owning their v**e. They have no intention of allowing you to stand on your own two feet and being self reliant. The Democrat party is about dependence on the government, they no longer stand behind the blue-collar worker. A big reason why I left the party several years ago.
