Herewith follows the greatest defense of the Second Amendment at a session of Congress that I have ever seen, not even close. A must see, some 7 + minutes. From the heart, and probably without a teleprompter.

I'd like to v**e for him.

BRILLIANT AND A MUST WATCH !

"Guns are a lot like parachutes ~ If you need one and don't have one, you'll probably never need one again"
The best presentation on gun control yet. Even if you don't like guns, watch this !
Should be required viewing by both sides of the issue of gun control/legislation
Here is a man who knows the constitution. Watch the faces on some Senators in the audience.

Pass it on........ please!

Just an unbelievable presentation.

Hey leaners, submit this to snopes and let us see you step on your dork if you try to respond with your mental masturbation.

WOW! WOW! Was this fantastic or was it fantastic?!
Thanks, CrazyHorse, for posting this. I hadn't heard of this fellow, but he's great!!!

The Bill of Rights are so simple, so clear, so definite that it requires deliberate determination to undermine them as is currently being done by practically everyone in government at various levels, including our courts.

The political left despises our way of life and our form of government and works its butt off to k**l it [b[even though it is the minority in this country[/b]. But minority or majority, it is depressing that there are Americans so crass, so insane, so depraved that they would prefer oppression to liberty. One can only assume they are insane, mentally feeble, warped - and one must wonder why any group of people would elect people of such low character and such incapacitated mentality to LEAD them. It seems obvious to me that half of our v**ers are braindead, and that half our population doesn't care.

Quid Pro Quo, repartee: I have now watched the presentation a second time and suspect it was not given in the well of the Senate or the House, and that the pictures of the politicians were not while listening to the speech. It's apparently a virtual representation. I find that the man's name is Bill Whittle, and that he is listed as the Virtual President.

I agree about it being a VIRTUAL representation. I don't believe either the Senate or the House would sit still for someone like Whittle to use up a minute of their time - regardless of the fact that he knows a lot more about the Constitution than any of them do and would make a better politician than any of them do. I LOVED this video!

The National Rifle Association has rallied gun owners — and raised tens of millions of dollars — campaigning against the threat of a national database of firearms or their owners.
But in fact, the sort of vast, secret database the NRA often warns of already exists, despite having been assembled largely without the knowledge or consent of gun owners. It is housed in the Virginia offices of the NRA itself. That database has been built through years of acquiring gun permit registration lists from state and county offices, gathering names of new owners from the thousands of gun safety classes taught by NRA-certified instructors and by buying lists of attendees of gun shows, subscribers to gun magazines, and more.
Talk about hypocrisy.

Which counties or state "gun permit registration list"? you have to register for a concealed carry license; however, not for general ownership in many states. The fallacy of your post is "attendees of gun shows" do not exist for all gun shows. In the past six months not a single individual I know out their name on a gun show "attendees" list.

Certainly, the NRA has a database of members, donors, and individuals who take their various classes. You are aware there are individual donors to the NRA who may not own weapons; however, support the 2nd Amendment of the Constitution, correct? The difference between a NRA list is the NRA understands the 2nd Amendment.

Allegations without substantiation has no merit.

Then I guess you see all businesses and organizations as hypocrites because every one of them maintain databases. I have no problem with that because they cannot write laws, they cannot attack us with drones, they cannot fine us, and they cannot send us to prison. That is how private businesses and organizations differ from government maintaining databases on its citizens.

The liberals in the house and the senate would have been running for the doors screaming at the to p of their collective lungs and holding their fingers in their ears shouting la la la la la I can't hear you.

They couldn't stand to look into the mirror of history and tell the American people that they wouldn't do as has been done in the past.

And there isn't a one of these bastards that could go home to their constituents and say with a straight face that they are to be trusted.

And there isn't one of them that can say that they are upholding the oath that they each took while being sworn into office.

They are all liars and charlatans each and every one of them on the liberal side of the isle and there are a good number on the conservative side as well.

Better luck with that then in the hands of the government, which has been proven to use information and data bases against the populace. Just go back and look at history Germany, Russia, Cuba, China.

But then none of them decry the fact that someone else may do it. That is what makes the NRA hypocrites.

Most all of these organizations send out magazines on a monthly bases. There are all kinds of publications out there like those for conceal carry, handgun owners, rifle users like hunting or even sport target shooting, clay bird shooting, pistol shooting the re-loaders of their own ammunition. Most of these same shooting concerns are also part and parcel of the NRA. They also send out flyers as to what do their readers have a desire to hear more of and ore there any topics that they may be neglecting that they should be covering. This is not hypocrisy as you state but merely good business. There all kinds of organizations that keep data bases some for shooting some for sporting some for golf are they all hypocrites or just good businessmen, I think the latter.

The government doesn't CARE about any databases except those that may harbor info on the oppressive government's "enemies", AKA those who may oppose the oppression.

Cannot you see that? Guns and Post Toasties are very different businesses as relate to a tyrant's safety, true? Post Toasties, in theory, cannot not make a tyrant bleed when used by a citizen.

. . . and why do we need gun back ground checks? I think you answered that question quite well.
