With the 3/4 threshold to amend, no current amendments are in danger for bi-partisan support other than the 17th.

BUT, a balanced budget amendment and a tax based on consumption rather than income are realistic and could come to be.

I can't find a downside.

I got a robo call soon back. Pressed "1" to ask to be removed from the list.

Young man tells me he's calling "on behalf" of Entergy Corp., and they'll come to my house and replace all of my incandescent bulbs with compact florescents and give me a "water saving shower head" FOR FREE!

I asked who he worked for. Then had to explain what I meant by that. To no avail.

My tax dollars at work.

I'd MUCH rather have my $$$ go to a publicly traded company of my choosing rather than submit do business with the $7 light bulb folks that are receiving subsidies from my taxes.

"Our economy will have to crash before democrats finally realize they screwed up big time."

I can here it now;

"Hey, those rightwingers don't need a super market for food! That's not fair! They're hunting and swapping bullets for food and dry goods while our EBT's wont work!"

Did you hear it? Did you hear the bang as the state legislative sessions began with Convention of States resolutions filed in every region of the country?

In the last two weeks, guess who filed the Convention of States resolution?

Massachusetts
New Hampshire
New Jersey
Virginia
South Carolina
Missouri
Nebraska
Minnesota
Arizona
Wyoming
Montana
North Dakota
Oklahoma
Tennessee
Kansas (with 41 Co-Sponsors!)
Pennsylvania
Oregon
South Dakota
Texas
Utah
North Carolina
West Virginia (with 60 Co-Sponsors, in the House, 17 Co-Sponsors in the Senate)

These states follow suit from the three states that have already passed the Convention of States resolution; Georgia, Florida and Alaska.
Do we have the support of the majority of Americans?

Gallup’s National Mood survey stated that 66% of Americans are dissatisfied with Congress because they believe the federal government has become too big and too powerful. The American citizenry is right, but Convention of States is changing that, as we take the power from the federal government and return it to the citizens and the states!

How are we returning the power back to the citizens? The Convention of States Action petition is a tool for citizens to tell their legislators to bring the power and the decision making home…and our state legislators are hearing your message!

How is it working?

Our petition has gathered signatures in over 97% of all state legislative house districts across the nation!! We are delivering these petitions in real time, automatically to the legislators, AND we are personally hand delivering copies of this petition to legislators all across the nation.

We are helping to preserve our Republic right now! We are implementing a solution as big as the problem!

We have every right to dream heroic dreams. Those who say that we're in a time when there are not heroes, they just don't know where to look. ~ Ronald Reagan~

We know where to look, as we look to YOU. Today we have this opportunity to take part in the patriotic act of returning our nation to self-governance through a Convention of States...we can do this, we are doing this!

Together we stand...

For America,
Mark Meckler, President COSAction

P.S. If you have not already done so, will you sign our petition it and forward this email to your entire email list so your friends can take the power back from the federal government and bring the decision making closer to home too? Read the petition here:

Will you support our efforts by making a donation and help us reach the 34 states needed to call the convention in 2015?
