There may not be in all the annals of photography a more devastatingly horrid look at life on earth. A little boy fallen to the ground, looking starved and unable to go on, with a vulture waiting in the background for his awaited death for a tasty meal. Humanity shrieks in disgust over such bestial facts of genocide. The photographer who took the picture later committed suicide. There is no discussion, no sides to take, in this abysmal reality: it was just wrong for that child to die. No vulture mandate would have helped.

To me, the GOP has become that vulture looming somewhat in the distance to devour, pick the bones of, our democratic processes. Unlike the vulture, they were h****r as well. Their starvation of Law and order, their disregard for America's ideals and principles, made our country too weak to be free and a light of freedom for the world. The Statue of Liberty has left the building. She was last seen boarding a cargo flight to Finland.
