A Sara Palin Michelle Bachman team would be the best possible duo for the republicans to nominate. Between them they represent the very best in intellect, family values, deep understanding of international relations and informed decision making the Republicans have to offer.

I laughed so hard at this, I woke my grandson up.

Your imagination is running away with you - there was never such an admission by Fox - there was however from the NY Times.

Meanwhile, tell us what news program you watch - and tell us when, from that source, you learned about Obamacare cancelling millions of policies. Fox watchers knew if pretty early in the game.

Guess you were not watching FOX that day. I was. I now watch CBS from 6 to 7 and tape Foxfire on CNN. Sometimes I watch Foxfire and sometimes I delete it. At 11, I watch either NBC or ABC.

As for policies being cancelled, they didn't meet the criteria of ACA; and Obama was too stupid to realize what insurance companies would do. My husband retired from a health insurance company, so don't tell me I do not understand.

I just think that we need to spend a bit more time & effort in to doing the better things.

If we do the right thing first we will not have to spend so much time correcting our mistakes. That will gives us most of the time we are losing.

Maybe. It's too late for my son, but my grandson has moved in with me. I may get a second chance. Don't get me wrong. My son is not a complete failure. By the time he was 6 he know what he wanted to do. He had a full tuition scholarship, and he went to work for the organization he dreamed about. Some years later, he commented that he could not believe that he worked there. But no community service, no helping anyone else. That was my failure.

Well it seems that I am not wasting my time now that I have found a living breathing body to converse with.

But I don't buy into feeling as young as you do.

While I don't like to think that I am a grouch in the mornings. I am not as cheerful as later in the day.

Scratch that. I think I should say that I am a little short of being grouchy early. But still short of being cheerful later in the day.

Well it's 4:30 here and my bed time. Hear from you tomorrow night, I hope.

Those thoughts & ideals for the most part are still out there. But the time & energy need to get by in a much more complicated faster pace of life takes away much of the time needed to spend returning to those values in a meaningful way.

You're giving us an excuse we don't deserve.

Well there is an other voice in the night.

The brain is foggy but waking & not falling back to sleep the computer seemed like a good way to waste a little time.

I resent that. Communicating with me is not a waste of time. In the morning I'm a grouchy old witch, but now I'm a enthusiastic teenager.

Being a night owl comes with the territory. Been working nights for a few years now. In all honestly I like being a night owl.

I had to quit work to enjoy it. But when I worked, the ones who worked with me knew not to bother me until 10am. Someone asked me how I got away with that and I reminded them that you couldn't talk to my boss until 10:30.

It used to be quite around here at night (my husband was a morning person), but now my grandson is downstairs yacking loudly with friends. It's music to my ears.

Were you gone? I'm so glad to see another night owl. It gets lonesome at this time of the morning.

If Unions are completely eliminated as is the goal of "Conservatives" then workers will be at the mercy of "conservatives"Oh joy for the "conservative" misery for the worker. Thats the goal for a "prosperous" America. Thats the way it is.

Someone who is not antiunion. I can't believe. People forget, or were never taught in school, that unions gave us the middle class. I never had the opportunity to join a union, but I benefited from them.

I was secretary to the vice president and general manager, and a lady who cleaned the office retired. I told my boss that I wanted her job. He asked Why. My response, she makes more money than I do. His response, you'll get that job over my dead body. The next time he handed me my pay check, he stood at my desk grinning. I opened it, and I now made more than she did. He said that he didn't want to hear anything from me about another job. I knew what everyone in the office made, and my salary was not out of line.

My husband worked in a factory, and became active in the union. He went to school and ended up in the office negotiating with the union at the same company.

So I have benefited from unions.

You can't reason with liberals, you can't educate them, you can't be nice to them. Hell you surely can't ignore them. But let's be fair there are some liberals that have some good ideas. Do not put them in a class with those who just want the Government to coddle them for the mistakes they have made. However I think some are realizing that a free ride is never free.

There will come a day that they will starve just like the millions in North Korea and China. What will they do then. What they do best sit on there ass and let you and I pay for them. I don't know about the rest of you but I am done paying there way. I will help any person who will help themselves. I have respect for the person who is out collecting cans and recyclables at least hes is trying.
You can't reason with liberals, you can't educate ... (show quote)

I'm a liberal and you are paying for me. AND I do not apologize for it. I'm on social security, Medicare, and a pension. I also have the third leg of the retirement stool. I would have a difficult time living on any one of them, but with the 3, I do quite well. I could have retired at 65, but was not ready to do so. Unfortunately for you (but fortunately for me), I have lived long enough that I am now getting more out of social security and my pension than I put it; and I'm enjoying every day of it. The weather was nice yesterday and today, and I started my spring yard work. After being cooped up for weeks, it felt wonderful. Thank you for making it possible. I know I'm not welcome, but than you anyway.

This certainly turned v***l. Let me add to it. You say Hillary has no experience. How about 8 years in the White House, 4 years as a senator and 4 years as secretary of state. If you think she didn't acquire a lot of knowledge while Bill was president, you have not been following her. You may not like her or agree with her, but don't sell her short.

Even you have to agree with a statement she made about Obama during the primaries "he doesn't have the balls for the job". Though I have to admit, after 4 years he's getting some. I am not saying I agree with what he is doing or has done.

Rush is a comedian, and at one time he was a good one. Unfortunately he started taking himself seriously.

This is how I know that there is no difference in parties because they have all done the same thing when sitting in the oval office. Party line is just theatre for the sheep.
I never thought I would agree with you on anything, but you hit the nail on the head. Both parties stick their noses into other countries business. I don't know if the protestors in the Ukraine have legitimate concerns; but as long as they are not threatening our country, It's non of our business.

And as a member of the generation that was taught these things, I apologize. We goofed up. We did not instill these things in our children. And what little we did instill, they did not pass on. Oh, there are a few good kids out there. I wish there were more.

Have we reached agreement? $8.75 per hour. We should have no problem getting congress to pass and the president to sign it. Antie, as the keeper of the asylum, will you make the presentation.

Is this an issue both sides should compromise on?
It would be very adult if they could. Unfortunately neither side has a very good record with compromise.
