Interesting idea but there is much real world evidence that says the warm connected environment has nothing to do with addiction. I have an example in my brothers family, five children, one who was a bad apple, who became addicted and got two sibling hooked as well. It was a stable rational environment and the children were nurtured and supported by both parents. The primary addict was in and out of rehab and every dime he could beg borrow or steal went into his addiction, again and again until my brother finally had to deny him access to the family. He had repeatedly stolen so much and was a source of corruption for his sisters that his presence could not be tolerated.

There are other such stories so it is not cut and dried that this method is 'the cure" for addiction. The reason that narcotics became controlled substances to begin with was that people who were prescribed drugs for injuries and wounds ended up becoming addicted. This would contradict the statements that people who are given potent forms of heroin for pain after surgery can easily shed or never get any any addiction problems. The historical fact is that they did get such problems.

It is hard to tell who is dumber, you or trump.

Although Donald Trump knows very little about foreign policy or world history or just about anything at all, one might think he’d at least know the basics of the Holocaust – or have the decency to run it past an adviser first. But his advisers may not even know the basics, based on the offensively embarrassing thing he said today in Poland, which he appeared to be reading from notes that were prepared for him.

For starters, Trump didn’t bother to visit the Warsaw Ghetto memorial while he was in Poland, breaking with tradition for United States Presidents who have visited the nation (source), despite it being a key Holocaust memorial. But then he went and made it worse. Much worse. During his speech in Poland, Trump listed the Warsaw ghetto uprising as having been something “evil.” In reality, the uprising was when Polish Jews tried to fight back against the occupying N**is. So Trump literally sided with Adolf Hitler the N**is on this one.

This led Chelsea Clinton to call out Donald Trump on Twitter, saying “Wait, what? Surely Trump meant the Warsaw ghetto (way station to Treblinka death camp) was “evil” NOT the uprising against the N**is. Surely” (source). Of course Trump would know all of this if he learned anything from high school history class – or if he were surrounded by knowledgeable White House advisers, or ever listened to them.

Poland was supposed to be the one easy stop for Donald Trump, because it’s been taken over by xenophobic extremists similar to himself. But he even managed to find a way to blow his Poland visit. That is, unless he purposely screwed up the Warsaw ghetto uprising in order to win over Polish extremists. With Trump being so sloppy and so demented, it’s sometimes difficult to figure out which is which.
