Perhaps having kids in school learning about the sacrifices made by servicemen who gave their lives for our country is just as good as a long weekend playing video games.

When you called your subject hands off our children I thought it was going to be a post about the clerical child abuse scandals.

The important part of the UN report was all about the brutal sexual abuse of children by clergy and the great lengths the church went to to cover up the crimes of horrible child molesters and shield them from prosicution in the jurisdictions where the crimes were committed.

What kind of patriots are willing to surrender their weapons just to go to a big protest parade? Do they think we are occupy wall street hippies or what? Armed to the teeth in defense of freedom is how we roll.

The poling referenced in the article is robo polling done by a new outfit called Harper Poling they are self proclaimed as a republican organization and their results differ significantly from other polling organizations. For instance the race in Michigan is polling in favor of Gary Peters the Democrat in all other recent polls. I do not know if Harper is doing push polls or if they think skewing results will motivate the base of the party and frankly I don't think there motivation is relevant other than to provide the right wing media with a reference for their own poling numbers, that way they can report and you can decide just the way they want you to!

How about the whopper lie he told about liberating a concentration camp at the end of WW2.

Perhaps this guy should not have been manufacturing narcotics in the home he shared with his pregnant girlfriend or running a credit card fraud scheme. A police officer was k**led when in the process of enforcing a warrant to take a felon into custody and the felon is the good guy? How dare the police do their job. Also the "legal firearm" is not legal when he is in possession of and manufacturing marijuana.

"These gentlemen are the equivalent of America's founding fathers" this is a word for word quote from Ronald Regan when he met with the Taliban in 1985

Do all of you really not know that there is a division of the USPS called the Postal Police that is responsible for law enforcement in connection with the postal service? They investigate everything from narcotics shipments in the mail, fraud involving mail, to robberies of mail, letter cariers and customers. Police officers serving the post office are armed and train with their firearms just like any other police agency. I think it is time for you to cook up another grand conspiracy as this one just hold water.

Not really an apple and apple comparison, a retailer always has a right to sell or not sell what legal and unregulated products they want to. A book store has no obligation to sell pornography or even religious books they don't wish to sell. The same business can not however discriminate against who they serve as an example the bakery can refuse to sell all cakes they just can't refuse to sell cakes to gay people or b****s while selling them to others. Prejudice against a product is very different than prejudice against people which is a violation of the civil rights act.

How on earth are all hospitals becoming government owned? The ACA is basically a change in regulations governing health care delivery. What will it take to get it through the thick skulls of the naysayers that the government is not and has no intention of owning hospitals. Other than the VA and military hospitals the government has no, that is right absolutely no ownership in the health care industry. Is your argument against the ACA so flawed that you need to rely on outright lies to support your opinion?

If it wasn't for French support during the American Revolution we would have a Queen today, it. is interesting how so many consertives are so focused on our founding but forget the critical role played by our good French friends in securing our freedom.

[quote=madshark]First, I would like to welcome all of our new friends of the Constitution on the left. I do have a couple of questions though.

Most folks have seen or heard about CVSs decision to stop selling tobacco products by October. I have seen mixed responses from talking heads on TV and radio and the people on the blogs I frequent. Those on the right seem split in their opinions, while those on the left universally celebrate CVSs decision. The argument I hear from the left is taht it is CVSs right to decide what product they choose to sell or not to sell. I would like to congratulate the left on finding the Constitution. This doesbring a couple of questions to mind.

1) We have now established that a corporation has rights Citizens United?

2) Tobacco is a legal product and smoking is a legal activity. CVS has decided its policy based on its prejudice against people engaging in a legal activity. We have seen a couple of cases recently where owners of bakeries refused to bake wedding cakes for homo couples. The cry from the left is, a business cannot refuse to sell to a person because the business has no right to decide not to serve someone because that produst or service is wrong. Do you l*****ts now support the right of the business owner to refuse service based on its prejudice

Not really an apple and apple comparison, a retailer always has a right to sell or not sell what legal and unregulated products they want to. As far as the security and return on treasury bonds many big company's and foreign nations invest in US treasury bonds because of their security and stability. Secondly why not set up the MYRA under your social security number rather than a tax I'd number? The thing is set up for individuals not corporations or trusts.

If and when you do keep in mind that every other country on this planet has grown to h**e Norte Americanas and Washingtons attempts at hegemony over the rest of the world. Don't expect to be treated like you see in the travel brochures. I was stabbed twice in Costa Rica, run off the road in Nicaragua, and kidnapped in Brazil. The US embassy will not help you. I recommend Panama or Singapore if you seriously want to get out of the States.

Somalia is a libertarian paradise! it embodys the Tea Party dream for this country. No government, no Taxes, no regulation! and anyone who can afford a gun can have one and carry it wherever they damn well please! I am not talking some little six shooter either, you can mount a belt fed machine gun in the bed of your pickup truck and blast away. Some day perhaps we will achieve that level of freedom from our c****elibrailn**i overlords, but until then pack your bags for beautiful Somalia!
