You've got to be kidding. RR is who started the US Middle Class decline. Since FDR and up to his Presidency the Middle Classes were getting richer. With his the flow reversed, the rich took more off the backs of the Middle Classes (those who really work for their money). The commenced and continue to get poorer. Nice guy Ronnie. See whom he served. Post Presidency he was given a gift of a ranch i the Santa Barbara hills. NO bribe of course. it came after the service he performed, sort of like a prostitute. No pay till the goodies are delivered.
Trouble is, on immigration, we did listen to Ronald Ray-gun and look where it got us? Dial 1 for English please!
"These gentlemen are the equivalent of America's founding fathers" this is a word for word quote from Ronald Regan when he met with the Taliban in 1985

Kevyn.....Where did you find that dandy at?
Here's a little bit more about your hero....
Ronald Reagan's Criminal Administration :
"By the end of his term, 138 Reagan administration officials had been convicted, had been indicted, or had been the subject of official investigations for official misconduct and/or criminal violations. In terms of number of officials involved, the record of his administration was the worst ever."
This one I will never forget...
For anyone who was there (the Reagan Years) and paying attention, :
. . . "However, I don't want to be all negative, Reagan did conquer Grenada. A proud moment in American Military history. Well, actually, the invasion of Grenada was meant to distract the simple-minded Americans who just watched Reagan bungle his invasion of Beirut, Lebanon, where over 200 marines were murdered by Reagan's trading partners, Hezbollah.
To the horror of the Republican Party, some of us remember. The Joint Chiefs wanted our marines to be housed on our ships at sea, where they'd be safe. But the Reagan White House thought it would "look better" if those brave men slept on land, instead. This disastrous decision, made by political hacks at the White House and approved by the senile and confused president, over the objections of the Joint Chiefs, cost hundreds of brave men their lives.
Let's not forget that reagan kept the Marine sentries at the barracks from having loaded weapons, thus the truck ran the barricade without any problem.
Seems ronnie raygun didn't believe in "self-protection" for 220 marine, 18 army and 3 navy service members that day.
reagan legacy should be he was one of the worst presidents this country ever elected.

For those of you old enough to remember
Paul Harvey the rest of the story
The Taliban emerged as a resistance movement aiming to eject the Soviet troops from Afghanistan following the Soviet invasion in 1979. The Soviets did not pull out until 1989, several years after Presidents Reagans 1985 comment, so it appears that during that 10-year time period they would have been known as freedom fighters.
It wasnt until later, 1996 to be exact, that Osama Bin Laden moved to Afghanistan, where he had fought against the Soviet troops and where he was warmly welcomed by the Taliban and its top leader, Mullah Mohammed Omar.
Do you see a connection that happened long after 1985?
He was a great communicator and really boosted patriotic morale. I agree with his old transcript from '61 that socialized medicine doesn't work in a capitalist economic system.
I don't think he'd believe the ACA is a foot in the door towards that. He'd see it a boosting free-enterprise with more consumers of health insurance plans and businesses competing for them. I think he'd probably disagree with having the ACA regulate the "minimum requirements" and side with deregulating parts of it.

I lived in Afghanistan for a while years before the Russians moved in. I could have told you about these guys. Why did our esteemed communicator not know?
The US has a (supposed) intelligence system which could have alerted him to these facts.
When it comes to B******i all hell breaks loose on failure to know but with the slippery silicone President all the s**t flows off his back. Why?
How about the whopper lie he told about liberating a concentration camp at the end of WW2.

Patriotism and Moral Boosting is an accomplishment many famous people can brag about. Hitler and Stalin and Mao for example. Not such a good club to belong to though.
