You can 'see' it that way, but it's not. IT is not as important as for what it stands, and what, in part, it stands for, is the freedom of speech that allows us to do what we want to it when it's being used to communicate a political point.

All I've done is express my opinion as to how I feel and honor our American F**g (caps emphasized). It is a honor to me to honor this f**g in all ways. This f**g honors our servicemen. When in armed conflict, it is the first thing shown when an objective is completed. When a casket is returned it is covered with an American f**g. There is even one day each year that it is celebrated. These actions are not done just because they can, it's because of the reverence to this f**g and how important it is. I understand that there is a law that allows free speech. Demonstrate all you want to with placards, marches, wh**ever else comes to mind. In my opinion, anyone that would step, trod, burn or maliciously destroy the American F**g for demonstration purposes are ignorant, unpatriotic, anti-American pieces of defecation.
Just because the free speech law allows it, if you are an American and love your country, you would not use it in that way.

I have read many, many of his postings on OPP before. It does not take a lot of intelligence to understand what he means. Even as uneducated as I am, he's easy to read.

You have every right to your opinion. It doesn't bother me very much that you carry around that amount of blind h**e in your mind.
I'm not into this to argue. I stated my feelings and opinion and I see no future of me changing them. You stated yours. Just remember not everyone obeys the law all the time.

I did look at the Playboy images of this beautiful female veteran and then I looked at your picture.
Now I totally understand your insane jealousy of her.
Quite a contrast!!!

Klan says cross -burning is free speech so i guess all free speech offends someone......

Klan burning is a little bit different. Just another form of demonstration. Now, as an example, if they use an American F**g as a burning material for their cross, then they deserve a really severe hurt. That is stretching it a bit but you get my meaning. There are umpteen ways to demonstrate and I still maintain that the f**g is sacred and untouchable. I would not feel bad the least bit if some patriot extracted vengeance one day. You know how some people are pulling crazy things nowadays.
I believe these demonstrators were protesting r****m. You'd think they would know that a very large number of their black brothers and sisters died in our wars for this same f**g. That's the same as stepping on these warriors hearts and souls. Disrespect to the max!

VALDOSTA -- An Air Force veteran and former Playboy model who was banned from Valdosta State University Friday after taking an American f**g from a group of demonstrators is now organizing her own demonstration that she said is to show support for the military and the f**g.

Michelle Manhart was detained but not arrested by VSU police after she took the f**g from a group of protesters. much. I couldn't let it go on."

I don't know how you feel about this action but I'll give you my opinion on how I feel.
I see the American F**g as a living, breathing symbol that holds and deserves the highest respect from the citizens of America, even above any person, place, or thing. The American F**g is America. It is what holds this country and its people together. It is not just a piece of cloth with color.
Throughout all of our wars, we have had millions of our soldiers and civilians give their lives for this f**g. That is how important it is. When I went into the Navy, I swore that I would defend this f**g and country, not the President, not the democrats or republicans, or any other thing.
When I see these ignorant scumbags (I have many more derogatory names for them) stepping on our f**g, I really, really, want to put a severe hurting on them (trying to be polite). I consider them trouncing on the hearts and souls of those brave soldiers while they are in their grave and that is sacrilege to the extreme.
The courts have said this is free speech. I say this is bulls**t because this f**g should be untouchable as there are many other ways to demonstrate.
And before you say that I said I was going to hurt them, I only said that I would like to.
Four brothers in the service (2 Army and 2 Navy and proud of it)

I am taking it that that is a photo of your mother! Thank you for sharing. And the boy, you?

Funny, I can remember when we got our first washing machine. Looked just like the one in the photo. I remember that if you did not feed the wringer with a board, and used a hand, you could be wrung up to the elbow and it would hurt like a son of a gun! Oh and I remember going out with these little trucks that grandpa would whittle from left over wood and race then down little hills made of dirt. Good memories.... thank you so much for bringing them back to life!!!

She made it possible for all seven boys and girls to make it through life. She never drank, smoked, used foul language and never divorced the sperm donor that abandoned us. She was very religious also. I always had a terrible fear of her being pulled into the wringer! I was about seven y.o. in the pics. Thanks for your comment and your post was right on.

There is an America that everyone turns their backs to, the news does not report it, the Liberals have blind eyes for.... perhaps because this America does not complain loudly, or stamp their feet. They are left to fend for themselves. No fancy reporters or bleeding hearts will make movies. Once in a great while you will see a documentary filmed, but never makes a splash or grabs the eye of a politician who will take up their cause.

In Appalachia the country is beautiful and the society is broken. Owsley County, Ky. — There are lots of diversions in the Big White Ghetto, the vast moribund matrix of Wonder Bread–hued Appalachian towns and villages stretching from northern Mississippi to southern New York, a slowly dissipating nebula of poverty and misery with its heart in eastern Kentucky, the last redoubt of the Scots-Irish working class that picked up where African s***e labor left off, mining and cropping and sawing the raw materials for a modern American economy that would soon run out of profitable uses for the class of people who 500 years ago would have been known, without any derogation, as peasants. Thinking about the future here and its bleak prospects is not much fun at all, so instead of too much black-minded introspection you have the pills and the dope, the morning beers, the endless scratch-off lotto cards, healing meetings up on the hill, the federally funded ritual of trading cases of food-stamp Pepsi for packs of Kentucky’s Best cigarettes and good old hard currency, tall piles of gas-station nachos, the occasional blast of meth, Narcotics Anonymous meetings, petty crime, the draw, the recreational making and surgical unmaking of teenaged mothers, and death: Life expectancies are short — the typical man here dies well over a decade earlier than does a man in Fairfax County, Va. — and they are getting shorter, women’s life expectancy having declined by nearly 1.1 percent from 1987 to 2007. If the people here weren’t 98.5 percent white, we’d call it a reservation.

Kudos to you sir. Thank you. Your clarity of thought and excellent expressive writing is proof that humble beginnings do not have to result in people who either are, or act stupid all of their lives. The large number of posters on this site who agonize over the excruciating, devastating, insulting remarks found in everyday ordinary speech should take lessons from your history. I am certain that if you didn't find the grit and determination to overcome your situation you would not have survived and prospered. You certainly didn't waste your time agonizing over sensitivity and slurs, with an abusive home situation you learn quickly that slurs don't hurt. They are a lot better than punches or kicks.

Thank you for sharing. I know that such memories are painful and I am sorry that you had to relive the pain while writing. I know, you are tough and my sorrow for you is not appreciated because you have p***e. My thought, you are a survivor and you have done so well. God am I proud of your achievements.

An important thing to know. A sheep skin on the wall means that a person sat in class and paid their fee. Does not mean that they are smart. Book smart will never replace knowledge gained form doing work.... So, don't you ever think that those who attend college measure up to you. You are head and shoulders over them. In fact, if the US collapsed tomorrow, I would rather be in your company than all those self satisfied peacocks!! Country people know how to not only survive but excel in anything they undertake!!!

That is pretty much the point isn't it?
That you couldn't be bothered to think?
Thinking is what people are supposed to do before being insensitive.
What's the weakness in your family, buddy42?
Alcoholism, drug abuse, incest, rape, some physical deformity, mental health issues?

Watch out boy, don't start getting personal!
For your nosey ass, there was alcoholism in my family. The male that supplied the sperm for me was an alcoholic that would get drunk and come home and beat my Mother black and blue. His Friday payday was spent before Friday night and none made it home. Thank goodness he left before I was 6 so I grew up without a father. My Mom raised 4 boys and 3 girls (I was the youngest) all on no welfare from the Government. The welfare came in the form of subsidized rent for living in the Projects( surprised that a white boy grew up in the Projects and didn't turn out a murderer). Yes I was raised in the Projects and made it to the 10th Grade. Yes I'm one of the dirt poor raised in the mountains of Tennessee that you ingrate liberals always refer to as uneducated. I've went through more heartaches and problems than you would ever understand. I know there are a lot of other people on here that can relate to what I am describing. I'm not the only one.
I was bullied and beat up all of my young life, called names because of the clothes I wore, sent home in the first grade for not having shoes, no presents ever, etc. But I made it through.
Even with all that, I managed a GED, a Tennessee and Kentucky State Boiler and Pressure Vessel licensed Inspector, an Assistant Unit Operator at Bull Run Steam Plant 1200 MW Unit 6 Years, 4 years Electronics Vo-Tech Certificates and 28 years as a Cable TV Technician. I can install and repair anything in my house including TV's, Computers, all except air conditioning. I'm very good at mechanical work. Without any college, I count all those as accomplishments.
I consider my biggest accomplishment as not going through college and be exposed to the socialist brainwashing that has permeated all of our schools now and that has clearly gave you that holier than thou attitude.
Just because your Professors told you that the more you are educated, the more intelligent you are, is a lie. You've been grilled about b****s being discriminated against, homosexual discrimination, muslim discrimination, etc, etc. You have not been taught the whole picture. You don't know what discrimination I have faced in my life or others in theirs. Insensitive, intercourse you, you panty waisted T****y. Worry about your own family's problems before you inquire about mine.
