"darkness and freezing cold", I am not sure where she gets this from. It is possible that because in some cultures, and in some of the Druid writings, they consider hell, as a place of darkness and cold. Every culture has a story that the angels of God, or the Heavenly seraphim are "firey creatures". And these fiery creatures, burn with the love of God. Therefore, in the case of Satan the fire is cold. That's the presumption I am making with her quote.
The sea of fire as described by St. John, however could point to a black hole, this is a possibility. Think of a prison where evil could be imprisoned and not be able to escape, yet is forced to live in a restraint for all eternity. That black hole would be a "bottomless pit".
I disagree with her on her next point though, because of Revelations. Because the good and evil of humanity will be present at this judgement. Which means the final Judgement shall occur, after the resurrection of the world. What is being described is the second "Hell" in a sense. The second hell will be physical pain, mental pain, and spiritual pain. This pain would be so public and intense that even the angels would sutter and all of creation would shake.
Hey that could be a good discussion to get going......Who is Satan?
What do you think?
Let's review what we know of the Devil or Satan....that could be an interesting conversation.........or material for a new horror flick....

The creation of Satan was a side effect of the creation of man. He is the antithesis of God. When Adam died and went to heaven, his name was changed to Satan. He is the serpent which was part of his anatomy. A&E were naked, so the serpent was "out there". What A&E did was a sexual act of sodomy. Adam went to heaven when he died to preserve his life and to be reincarnated. He was the son of God and in the present life, he is the father of God. He is the only one who could bring Messiah/God into the world.
