Tasine I am so your efforts to convert others to your ideaology failed. In your circle you are probly admired. Here is my parting shot. The country is in a mess because of greedy self centered cold hearted cold blooded republicans.

Whoo-hoo! You just couldn't resist, could you. You bet we have to face our biases and how they work, and YOU are a prime example. There was just NO WAY you could argue against Sowell except that my "unconscious racism" caused me to post a line from yesterday's article I had just read. THAT is what is wrong about the political left. If they don't have a boogie bear to beat people up with, they cannot make an argument. I love Thomas Sowell and have read him for years, well before I learned what a rotten mess the Democrats in this country are. I quote Sowell and praise him, and am accused of racism. Heaven help us all. And, Glaucon, you can have your private site. I don't really want anything more to do with it as it is filled with a bunch of knuckle-headed knuckle draggers. If you cannot keep the racial wars going, you will all wither away into the nothingness that your party represents. Heaven help all of you! No one else stands a chance of helping you. I have tried to abide by your rules, not realizing that your side is so rotten that the rules apply ONLY to conservatives. Standard behavior on your side.

Awalaki needed to be taken out too bad for his son but he was a mini me. Tea partiers are really the democrats best friends. They have ripped the republican party apart and as licoln said A house divided amongst[ itself cannot stand. Rand Paul needs to get back to his dental office.quote=bdamage]You have "issues" alright.

So, you don't believe Obama droned an American citizen, al Awlaki and his 15 year old son, without a trial and only under "suspicion" of a terrorist act without any proof?
That was even in the MSM when it happened.
Rand Paul went ballistic on the unlawful act Obama committed.
This means Obama can just go ahead and k**l any one of us citizens "under suspicion" of being a terrorist on a whim.
They were calling Tea Party members "terrorists".
Now I guess that means he can drone any of their members now.
Don't you see where this is going fomy?
Are you that dense and brainwashed that you are so blind to the t***h?[/quote]

Well Where would we be if the president was unavailible during vacations? he is on call 24/7 all presidents have been and will be. You'll see another republican president in your lifetime that's the way politics works. You'll want them to be ready for action if need be.

I have no objections to his "taking time off". I just wish he would do it more often, only on his dime and not the taxpayer's. He may not be able to do as much damage out of the office as in, but one must remember, he always has his pen and phone with him, wherever he vacations. Unfortunately, for the people.

Thankyou for your reply. We are cleaning things up quite a lot actually .Radical enviornmentalists are bad people. I once worked in a sawmill where we sometimes got spiked logs. Two people I worked with got hurt that way.Just consider though no rules no regulations might lead to some jobs but once the resource is polluted or depleted no more job

We are already cleaning it up. We are doing more than anyone else in the world to clean it up. We are pretty much the ONLY people cleaning it up. What took decades to cause cannot be fixed overnight and the Administration KNOWS IT. This attack on a coal industry that is doing a pretty fair job of cleaning itself up is simply a political ploy, that ends up causing more long term harm for short term political brownie points. Doing it wrong is worse than doing nothing. There are many concerned environmentalists who have the right idea, but they are like children who want it now. You can't have it now. It takes time, and it is being done. Lake Erie is a different place than in say 1965, far cleaner. That did not happen overnight. It required knowledgeable people without so much of a political agenda to accomplish what they did.

thank you for the link. Sometimes telling people what they want to hear is enough to convince some to follow the same beliefs right or wrong. My self I prefer to check into words I am told to believe are facts. For your sake I am sorry I am what you would call a liberal. I just think of myself as having a heart. I vote with my conscience and tend to vote for incumbents that have been doing their job. I hope you will feel better if I tell the truth. I loved Reagan and voted for George W Bush.By my own observations I believe the word RINO needs to be abolished. The more cold blooded one is should not[make them desirable to to be our leader.quote=Tasine]I just read a great line by a great writer, which I think fits you to a tee. The writer is a black man named Thomas Sowell whom I read regularly. His line today is: "When words trump facts, you can believe anything. And the liberal groupthink taught in our schools and colleges is the path of least resistance. I agree with retired 669. The current president has been overly scrutinized and he must be clean cause he is still president till 2016. Absolute power is a dictatorship. we have none of that.

Brian-if the t***h were known-probably half of the seat of government should be in jail. If our current president were scrutinized even half as much as these people have been he would not be anywhere close to the White House. Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Good Luck America !!!
