How about they just use a little common sense in their edicts and laws. For example, why is rainwater on one's property not the property owner's but owned by the State? One may not collect rainwater in barrels, on their own property because it would not be able to flow into a creek, one that is dry everyday of the year excepting when it rains. This actually occurred. The property owner was cited and taken to court for collecting rainwater in barrels. Another for damming up a pond on his property which he used for his livestock, and not allowing it to flow into the ditch that would eventually wend it's way to who knows where.

No, it is something the vast majority of Americans want curtailed. When it can dictate to a land owner that he may not log it because it would disturb the habitat of a certain species of frog, and there haven't been any of those frogs on his land, ever. Not only that, there are none within several hundred miles of him. They are ONLY found in a certain area of Louisiana. That is an example of needing to rein in the EPA. There are a plethora of other examples of their unrealistic, dictatorial, powers they have allocated to themselves.

What about the recent spate of train derailments, oil cars breaking, exploding and burning, with the concomitant evacuations of thousands of people. And we must not forget the tanker trucks on the highways experiencing the same problems, overturning, multi-car accidents and burning, also causing evacuations of surrounding communities. Pipelines are MUCH safer, and less expensive to operate, nor do they tie up the Interstates with accidents. It is also much less expensive to t***sport. Buffet does not want the pipeline, it greatly diminishes his income. He ships by rail.

I have found that a leader managed site is difficult, if not impossible. It seems to work well with conservatives, but not so much with liberals. One characteristic repeatedly found in research is that liberals tend to go in many directions and are not easily herded. Conservatives, on the other hand, tend be more predisposed to select and follow their leaders. Conservatives tend to stick to the party line put forth by their leaders and often repeat the exact words and expressions in doing so. I think the message is that if you want a football coach or drill sergeant, you might want to hire a conservative; if you want to hire a teacher or a negotiator, you might want to hire a liberal.
