And now ordered that the cost not be reported.

If Trump doesn't want you to know how much he blew on the parade do you think he spent more or less???

https://www.newsweek.com/how-much-will-trump-fourth-july-parade-cost-1447342

You forget that Trump is a petulant child and determined to get what he wants no matter the cost...
Your argument is pathetic, Pete. There's a fallacy in here somewhere. You started this thread whining about a parade that never happened, now you are b***hing about an entirely different thing. In both cases, you posted predictions about what the costs of these events might be.

The Veteran's Day parade set for November 11, 2018 didn't happen so it cost nothing.

What about the Salute to America? $100 million? $200 million? OK, so what? Who cares? That's pocket change compared to what liberal progressivism is costing us.

For many Americans, there are things more valuable than money, like maybe a salute to our great nation on the anniversary of its birth. For my part, I really appreciated president Trump's recognition and praise for so many extraordinary Americans, living and dead, who gave so much to America, including many who lost their lives doing so.

The obscene thing, wh**ever it may be, that drives your hatred of our nation, our president, and 60 or 70 million citizens who don't worship your progressive god is noted and I can tell you where to put it.

TRUMP COULD FEED EVERY HOMELESS VETERAN FOR THE COST OF HIS MILITARY PARADE, EVEN CONSERVATIVELY ESTIMATED.

But hey, a military parade that boosts conservative ego's is much more valuable than feeding a homeless vet...

Umm, that article was published in March last year, it addressed the idea of a Veteran's Day parade which, of course, would have taken place on General George Patton's 133rd birthday. When President Trump was informed of the cost, he cancelled it.

This story was originally published by the Guardian and is shared here as part of the Climate Desk collaboration.

Donald Trump plans to go on the offensive against criticism of his industry-friendly rollbacks of environment protections in a speech on Monday, according to three sources familiar with the plans.

Trump will tout America’s clean air and water, although his administration has advanced many efforts that experts say have undercut the country’s environmental record.

As Democrats make the environment and the climate crisis key to their p**********l campaigns, Republicans are feeling pressure from v**ers from across the political spectrum who worry about the planet and public health.

Trump has little to point to in terms of environmental achievements. He could discuss a US effort to clean up marine debris, much of which is coming from Asia. The issue could fit well with Republican arguments that developing nations like China are currently contributing far more to the climate crisis than the US.

Trump could also mention funds to restore the Florida Everglades. He is not expected to make any major announcements of new policy initiatives.

Yet in an off-the-record conference call on Wednesday, the White House reached out to key supporting groups requesting they spread the message that the US under Trump continues to be an environmental leader.

Trump’s environment officials, including Environmental Protection Agency administrator Andrew Wheeler, interior secretary David Bernhardt and council on environmental quality chief Mary Neumayr will be at the White House on Monday for the 3:30pm event titled P**********l Remarks on America’s Environmental Leadership.

Broadly, Trump’s agencies have rescinded rules to cut pollution from power plants and vehicles, boosting f****l f**l development wherever possible.

The president himself has denied that humans are heating the planet and endangering themselves. Yet the White House remains constrained by competing conservative interests who disagree about which c*****e c****e messaging the administration should pursue.

Some groups, like the Competitive Enterprise Institute and Heartland Institute, do not believe the science that shows humans are heating the planet at a dangerous rate and want the president to focus on expanding f****l f**l use. They support an aide pushing climate denial from the White House.

A small faction of Republicans want the party to acknowledge the problem but disagree with the kind of solutions Democrats propose, including a Green New Deal for massive climate mitigation spending and programs to tackle ine******y.

Sarah Hunt, a conservative co-founder of the cross-partisan Rainey Center, said Trump should use the opportunity to endorse America’s emissions cuts so far.

GET A RECEIPT AND CHECK IT BEFORE LEAVING THE STORE

A LOT OF SHOPS NOW ASK IF YOU NEED A RECEIPT-otherwise you don’t get one.

LEAVES IT WIDE OPEN DOESN’T IT ! (I’ve noticed this lately)
Keep the Receipt.

This is worth reading if shopping at stores with a credit card....
They do not automatically hand you a receipt anymore if the sale is under $30.
You must ask for it...

CHECK YOUR RECEIPTS BEFORE LEAVING THE CHECK-OUT

An associate bought a heap of stuff the other day while on holiday (over $450), & when he glanced at his receipt as the cashier was handing him the bags, he saw cash out of $20.

He told her he didn't request any cash and to delete it. She said he'd have to take the $20 because she couldn't delete it.

He told her to call a supervisor. Supervisor came and said he'd have to take it. He said NO Bloody way!

Because taking the $20 would be a cash advance against his Credit Card and he wasn't paying interest on a cash advance!!!!!

If they couldn't delete it then they would have to delete the whole order.

So the supervisor had the cashier delete the whole order and re-scan everything!

The second time he looked at the electronic pad before he pinned in his number and again cash-back of $20 popped up.

At that point he told the cashier and she deleted it. The total then came out right. The cashier said that the Electronic Pad must be defective. Obviously the cashier knew the electronic pad was defective because she NEVER offered him any cash after either of the t***sactions.

Can you imagine how many people went through before him and by the end of her shift how much money she pocketed?

His wife went into a Cole's Warehouse last week.
She had her items rung up by the cashier. The cashier hurried her along and didn't give her a receipt.

She asked the cashier for the receipt and the cashier seemed annoyed but gave it to her.

She didn't look at her receipt until later that night when back at their Hotel. The receipt showed that she had asked for $20 cash. SHE DID NOT ASK FOR ANY CASH, NOR WAS SHE GIVEN IT!

So she called Cole's who investigated but could not see that the cashier pocketed the money.

They then spoke with a friend who works for one of the banks; they told them that this was a new s**m that was bound to escalate.

The cashier will key in that you asked for cash and then hand it to one of her friends when they next come through the check-out queue.

This is NOT limited to Cole's; they are just one of the largest retailers to have the most incidents.

I wonder how many "seniors" have been, or will be,"stung" by this one?????

To make matters worse ... THIS S**M CAN BE DONE ANYWHERE, AT ANY RETAIL OR WHOLESALE LOCATION!!!

IT COULD HAPPEN ANYWHERE. CHECK YOUR RECEIPT BEFORE LEAVING THE CHECK-OUT.........

...CHECK YOUR RECEIPT!!!!!
GET A RECEIPT AND CHECK IT BEFORE LEAVING THE STOR... (show quote)
I pay in cash. To hell with the receipts.

Using generalizations lessens your credibility. Obviously not all Trump supporters ignore facts or believe everything Trump says. But the Salute to America filled me with so much p***e for this country that there wasn't room to nitpick the president's gaffe. I saw a man who loves America as much as I do, who used the world stage to show our enemies our military might, and who honored American heroes. Just because the left appeared foolish for saying it was a Trump political rally, which turned out to be a lie, they latched on to a mistake that doesn't matter at all and tried to create a big scandal. I hope they continue with their i***tic behavior, which is garnering v**es for Trump every time.

"Virtues are in the eye of the beholder"???? What kind of horses**t is this? What you are saying is that virtue is merely subjective and you can define it as anything you want it to be. Precisely the same way a secular humanist defines morality. This is truly a mentally corrupt, emotionally frigid, and spiritually barren view of human life.
