Biden is no i***t, unless you think that 62% of Americans are. That certainly even includes some Republicans:

Really? Which one, pray tell?

France: top rate 45%
Spain: 47%

I could go on, there's a long list of countries that pay much more than we do here - but what's the point? You wouldn't change your mind no matter what empirical data I throw out there, and we both know it.

Fact is, in the 1950's the top 1% in America paid about 43%. And they did just fine.

"The Democrats are never satisfied with the amount of taxes collected because they want to spend more and more on worthless programs that are outside the purview of their responsibility."

Oh really? I guess things like Social Security and Medicare are "worthless programs" out of "purview of their responsibility"? Surely you jest. Or maybe not. Maybe you are exactly the kind of person who not only believes in minority rule, and that everyone else is an "i***t", but also has been utterly convinced that "trickle down" actually works?

“A society that loses its sense of outrage is doomed to extinction.”

So stated New York State Supreme Court Justice Edwin Torres over 30 years ago in a private communication. From the bench, Judge Torres added this lament: “The slaughter of the innocent marches unabated: subway riders, bodega owners, cab drivers, babies; in laundromats, at cash machines, on elevators, in hallways.”

We find the judge’s remarks, which read like today’s headlines, cited in Senator Daniel Patrick Moynihan’s 1993 article “Defining Deviancy Down.” By normalizing what was once a******l, Moynihan argues, we eventually ensure “the manifest decline of the American civic order.” He uses as his data points soaring rates of crime and gun violence, disintegrating families, a chaos of ideas about sexual practices and marriage, failing schools, and the closure of facilities for the mentally ill.

Moynihan outlines his argument in this way:

I proffer the thesis that, over the past generation … the amount of d*****t behavior in American society has increased beyond the levels the community can ‘afford to recognize’ and that, accordingly, we have been re-defining deviancy so as to exempt much conduct previously stigmatized, and also quietly raising the ‘normal’ level in categories where behavior is now a******l by any earlier standard….

Let me, then, offer three categories of redefinition in these regards: the altruistic, the opportunistic, and the normalizing.

The first category, the altruistic, may be illustrated by the deinstitutionalization movement within the mental health profession that appeared in the 1950s. The second category, the opportunistic, is seen in the interest group rewards derived from the acceptance of “alternative” family structures. The third category, the normalizing, is to be observed in the growing acceptance of unprecedented levels of violent crime.

Now, flash forward 31 years.

Those of us old enough to remember the 1990s may recollect that time as idyllic when compared to our present troubles. The Soviet Union had collapsed; the national debt in 1993 was around $5 trillion compared to today’s more than $34 trillion; our southern border was relatively secure. San Francisco was famed for its beauty rather than for its homeless population, crime rates in New York City were declining and would continue to do so over the next decade, and drug overdose deaths in 1993 were less than 10 percent of what they are today.

Fortunately for the future of our country, some Americans of all ages are in fact outraged by today’s cultural radicalism and d*****t behaviors. In “Culture Shock with Lindsay Wigo,” for instance, the young, eye-rolling Ms. Wigo brings us a man who claims deep suntans are r****t, a woman who boasts about being a stalker, and another woman who identifies as a pig. In the 1990s, our society would have looked on this trio as oddballs at best and, at worst, as suffering from mental illness.

Another negative take on our decline into deviancy —and there are countless others, both online and in conversations with our families and friends—can be found in Naomi Wolf’s “Broken in What Way?” Here, Wolf recounts at length a recent visit to New York, a city she loves but which now seems to be in ruins. “I think if one lives here day to day,” she writes, “the shocking decline of the city is not so obvious. But to me, the change in the city was like seeing a beloved friend, who had formerly been beautiful and enchanting and witty, in a hospital bed, on an IV drip, half-unconscious.” Here Wolf puts a finger on another reason for our demise: the gradualism that moves society from condemnation of an idea or a practice first to tolerance and then to acceptance.

So, where do we turn if we wish to reverse this decline into deviancy? In 1993, Senator Moynihan recommended several political solutions, yet given the federal government’s increasingly dismal performance in the 21st century—the massive debt, the lost wars, the broken border, the malfunctioning domestic programs—that rutted roadway promises only more failures.

No—if we are to reverse our present decline, we are the ones who must take action. In some instances, such as reducing the d*****t federal deficit, most of us have only a v**e as our weapon. In other cases, however, such as combating neighborhood crime, seeking the best possible education for our children, or opposing society’s attacks on marriage and the traditional family, our power to effect change vastly improves.

Here we must begin by reviving the old-fashioned concept of decency, which one online dictionary defines as “behavior that conforms to accepted standards of morality or respectability.”

Those standards derive from our Greco-Roman, Judeo-Christian heritage, but they have been shoved aside in the last 50 years in favor of relativism, which is no standard at all. We find one glaring example of this sea change in the recent phenomenon of d**g q***n story hours in our public libraries. Billed as family-friendly events promoting diversity and foisted off on communities by the American Library Association, these performances for children aim at subverting the family, normalizing deviancy, and confusing preschoolers about g****r and sex.

At the same time, we must recognize that accepting deviancy as a norm comes with a tremendous cost. In many of our large cities, for example, crime and murder are now accepted as everyday events. The weekend casualty counts, assaults, and robberies out of places like Chicago and New York receive due notice in some media, but little if any effort is put into reducing these tallies of murder, rape, and theft.

Once we understand that the d*****t behavior found across the board in today’s culture is neither normal nor desirable, and we have the heart and the spirit to do something about it, we can take action.

The field of education more easily demonstrates this power of the individual or a group of citizens to make a difference. More families are homeschooling now than ever before, and private academies of all sorts are springing up around the country. Parents are v****g with their feet and leaving government schools.

The Dylan Mulvaney Bud Light ad and the subsequent backlash that caused Anheuser-Busch InBev to take a major hit in sales was yet another demonstration of our power to make change. The lesson there was to stop supporting companies that are intent on radical cultural t***sformation.

Public libraries have also become battlegrounds in the culture wars. From Prattville, Alabama, Lori Herring writes “How to Save Your Local Library From Cultural Marxists.” Pratt and a group of concerned parents spent nearly a year working to divest their public library’s children’s section of pornographic material, but they finally succeeded. Courageous people like them are making a difference.

To take charge of our lives rather than looking to government is a tradition as old as America itself, and it can be applied to everything from cleaning up our city streets of trash to crime prevention. Participating in local e******ns, v****g, becoming candidates ourselves, volunteering, staying engaged in local affairs—in these ways and more, citizens can have a direct effect on culture and community. Stout hearts, willing hands, and a sense of common decency can heal any number of the wounds inflicted on our society.

Enough, then, of defining deviancy down. Let’s start defining decency up.

Neocon Super PAC Urges Trump’s Assassination
Posted Apr 3, 2024 By Martin Armstrong |

The Lincoln Pact is the neocon Super Pac championed by Liz Cheney that has two objectives: 1) continue all endless wars, and 2) eliminate Donald Trump. The group grew in their demands after Nikki Haley ungracefully bowed out of the e******n. This is not a Republican Super Pac as they have endorsed re-electing Joe Biden as the military-industrial establishment must win.

RickWilson

The group is now openly calling for the assassination of Donald Trump. Lincoln Project co-founder Rick Wilson has a career based on his hatred for Trump, publishing books entitled “Everything Trump Touches Dies,” and “Running Against The Devil – A Plot To Save America from Trump And Democrats From Themselves.” Once a Republican, Rick Wilson is simply an establishment tool who will endorse any and all neocon policies. A quick search of his name will show you endless videos of Wilson bashing Trump and the MAGA movement.

Rick Wilson is terrified of a Trump victory, especially as the people clearly indicate that he is their candidate of choice. His solution?

“The donor class can’t just sit back on the sidelines and say, oh, this will all just work itself out. They’re still going to have to go out and put a bullet in Donald Trump. And that’s a fact,” Rick Wilson from The Lincoln Project stated on MSNBC broadcasting.
Imagine if anyone on Trump’s campaign took to live TV to call for the assassination of Joe Biden. He would be immediately condemned for inciting a bloodbath, MSNBC would have weeks of re-education for its staff, and he’d likely face time in prison.

Soros Calls for Assassination of Trump

Alex Soros, Open Society Foundation heir and g*******t, has also been calling for the assassination of Trump. Soros was subtler in his demands for a dead president by image of $47 and a bullet hole implying to assassinate the 47th president, Trump.

Donald Trump has numerous targets on his back. The majority of our computer models say that he will win. Still, there is no possible way that the establishment could allow that to happen, mainly because he wants to put an end to America’s involvement in foreign conflicts and back away from the c*****e c****e agenda that is simply a rouse for the Great Reset. The computer will be right again. There is absolutely no way either side will accept the 2024 e******n result, and Trump’s life is in danger.

A flat tax tithe works for churches. Why not for the government? Economics is about the scarcity of resources but the government acts as though there is an unlimited supply of tax revenue. 10% should be plenty. No more than 15%. Eliminate credits and deductions. Businesses and individuals should be making economic decisions based on the best practices, not what they can deduct because of what the tax code says. The IRS/Government giveth and they taketh away.

That is a good response, and I can see your point. I actually feel that really rich people should be taxed on their incomes, not their property taxes. IMO, really rich folks & corporations like Amazon should be paying more.

I agree with Biden's $400,000 and up recommendation, as do millions of others.

Thanks for your reply.

Okay, what about rich people without incomes? Biden is an i***t. The $400,000 hurts small businesses. Perhaps the million who agree are also i***ts. do you even know what the $400,000 plan is? Stop the envy. The Democrats are never satisfied with the amount of taxes collected because they want to spend more and more on worthless programs that are outside the purview of their responsibility. The government is inefficient. Corporations already pay a lot in taxes. Make the taxes too high and they will relocate to another country. Do you think every person working for them doesn't receive a salary that is not taxed?

However, you do get one thing right: The destruction of the economy has been going on for decades, much longer than 55 years. Creation of the Federal Reserve and fiat currency, elimination of the gold standard, the Great Society, wars without adequate funding, elimination of silver from coinage in 1964, inflation, quantitative easing, growth of the administrative state, and the list goes on and on, too numerous to list it all here.

Both parties are responsible for the mess we are in, but the Democrats are more responsible. Repugnicans may not be the solution to all our problems, but Democrats are the cause. They create problems and then promise they are the ones who can fix the problem, only to make things worse. IDF K**ls Top Iranian General in Embassy Strike

IDF K**ls Top Iranian General in Embassy Strike
Arabic outlets report that 8 senior Iranian officials k**led in apparent Israeli airstrike on Iranian embassy in Syria.

By David Rosenberg, World Israel News, April 1 2024;

At least eight senior Iranian officials were k**led in an explosion targeting Iran’s embassy to Syria Monday afternoon, according to Arabic media outlet reports.

According to the Saudi-based Al-Arabiya news outlet, Israeli aircraft carried out an airstrike on the Iranian embassy in Damascus, in an apparent targeted k*****g of senior Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps members.

Among the dead, according to the report, is General Mohammad Reza Zahedi, a senior commander of the IRGC’s Quds Force, which coordinates operations with Iran’s proxies abroad, including Hamas, Hezbollah, Houthi rebels, and various m*****as in Iraq and Syria.

The London-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights confirmed that a building owned by the Iranian mission to Syria had been hit in the airstrike Monday, adding that eight people were k**led.

The fatalities include” a high-ranking leader” – likely referring to Zahedi – two Iranian advisors, and five other members of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.

“Israel carried out an attack on the Iranian embassy in Damascus and assassinated 8 high-ranking Iranian leaders,” the Observatory tweeted.

With ‘Friends’ Like Mexico’s Obrador, Who Needs Enemies Like Putin, Xi, Kim Jong Un and the Ayatollahs?
April 1, 2024
Victor Davis Hanson
American Greatness

In a recent 60 Minutes interview, Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador—who prefers to be known as AMLO for short—issued to the Biden administration blackmail demands that sounded more like existential threats.

AMLO warned the U.S. that the current influx of some 10 million i*****l a***ns through the southern border will most certainly continue—unless America agrees to his ultimatums.

One, Obrador says the U.S. must now send $20 billion in de facto bribery payments to Latin American nations, many of them corrupt and dysfunctional. Apparently, he thinks it is America’s fault that millions of Latin Americans are fleeing these failed states northward, not the inept and corrupt governments that create such misery.

Two, AMLO demands amnesty for vast numbers of Mexican i*****l a***ns currently unlawfully residing inside the U.S. He apparently also thinks there is no such thing as U.S. i*********n l*w. Or, if there is, such statutes do not apply to citizens of Mexico. Can we ask Mr. Obrador to simply grant permanent visa-free, no-questions-asked residence to any American living in a vacation complex in Mexico?

Three, he also requires America to lift sanctions against anti-American Venezuela. That c*******t government currently is part of the new China/Russia/Iran strategic axis. It is sending thousands of its citizens northward to enter the U.S. illegally.

Many of them are criminals, as the recent murder of Laken Riley by a felonious Venezuelan i*****l a***n attests. Dictator Nicolás Maduro’s Venezuelan regime recently threatened to invade and annex oil-rich Guyana, its smaller neighbor to the east. Maduro’s “security forces” have routinely murdered hundreds of political opponents. This rogue state is apparently Mexico’s newest ally.

Four, AMLO further requires the U.S. to stop its long embargo of c*******t Castroite-controlled Cuba, a decades-long avowed enemy of the U.S.

And what, AMLO was asked, would happen if the U.S. were to refuse Mexico’s blackmail threats?

Obrador abruptly snapped, “The flow of migrants will continue”—an admission that Obrador himself has the power to stop or turn on i*****l i*******t influxes into the U.S.

T***slated, that means we can expect that another 2-3 million i*****l a***ns will leave Mexican territory to enter the U.S. unlawfully in 2024. Or if Joe Biden is attuned to the political disaster he has created by i*****l i*********n for his party in November, we should expect this cynical administration quietly—in the fashion on the eve of the last midterms of cancelling student loans, draining the strategic petroleum reserve, or currently slow-walking resupplies to Israel—to send cash to Obrador to limit inflows before the e******n.

In his long interview, AMLO also denied that Mexico is one of the most violent countries in the world, despite currently having the ninth highest murder rate among nations. AMLO claims further that there is no corruption in America, although Mexico also ranks among the world’s most corrupt nations.

As far as the nearly 100,000 American deaths per year attributed to Mexican cartel-produced and illegally imported f******l—often deliberately disguised as both illicit and prescription drugs to mask its toxicity and increase its usage—Obrador claims that the fault is solely on Americans who take the drug. He believes Mexicans simply supply the demand regardless of its legality and in such a way to ensure thousands of accidental overdoses.

AMLO adds quite dishonestly that there is no real drug use in Mexico. Consequently, the cartels supposedly do not threaten the stability of his government. He apparently shrugs that they are an American, not Mexican, problem, despite the cartels’ annual murdering of several hundred Mexican politicians and candidates.

Finally, under his “Mexico First” policy, AMLO warns he will not pass any law or adopt any policy that is American-inspired.

Much of AMLO periodic tough-guy rhetoric—in the past he has bragged of the huge expatriate Mexican community and the power it now exercises over American politics—is simply the bluster of an insecure, smaller neighbor overshadowed by its northern colossus, and both mindful and resentful of an often shared troublesome history.

In addition, Obrador is a radical socialist. He believes a nation’s prosperity is achieved through forced state, or indeed, international redistribution from the wealthier to the poorer—not by guarantees of free markets, individual freedom, consensual government, or the rule of law. Thus, Mexico’s problem is not its misuse of rich natural resources, lack of the rule of law, corrupt federal, state, and local governments, or the cartels, but simply exploitation by its northern neighbor. Obrador never asks himself why a resource-poor Japan or Switzerland is rich and a resource-rich Mexico is poor.

Two further questions arise in response to Obrador’s unhinged hostility. One, why is AMLO now so emboldened to threaten the United States with even more millions of i*****l a***ns leaving Mexico soil to enter the U.S. unlawfully?

And two, how will America answer such a belligerent neighbor?

Obrador is feisty and full of anti-American venom now for a lot of reasons. One, he was easily able to t***sit from his country 10 million i*****l i*******ts into the United States. He believes that with the existing 50 million foreign-born American residents, America is rapidly becoming a country of enough Latin American ex-patriates to ensure Mexico’s influence over American policy.

In projectionist fashion, Obrador also believes that the American melting pot is dead, replaced by the tribalist salad bowl, in which ethnic groups form large, permanent, and unassimilated blocs and vie for government money and influence against rival ethnicities.

In such a Hobbesian U.S., Latinos, Obrador believes, will come out on top and thus greenlight Mexico’s agenda. The idea that Mexican immigrants will likely quickly assimilate, integrate, and replace their Mexican identity and allegiance with an American persona, he believes, is now passé.

More disturbingly, AMLO assumes that Biden deliberately destroyed the U.S. border in order to welcome in the world’s poor and needy en masse. Biden, he believes, is engineering the new demographics. He has enticed a constituency that will repay de facto amnesty with fealty at the polls, and in the next census, he will thus help redefine dozens of congressional districts to favor Democrats. Thus, Obrador thinks his open-border policies synchronize with the open-border wishes of the Biden administration.

Two, Obrador sees the U.S. dec**pling from China. Billions of dollars in American overseas investment are leaving China and being rerouted to Mexico. Hundreds of new factories producing everything from cheap consumer items to cars are now appearing in Mexico entirely for U.S. export.

Obrador assumes that without such outsourcing and offshoring to Mexico, the U.S. would suffer supply chain disruption, higher consumer prices, and shortages of vital goods—and thus be forced to return to its unhealthy dependence on China. So he believes Mexican labor in the U.S. and Mexican factories at home are indispensable to the U.S. economy, and thus he can say or do what he wishes to any president he chooses.

Three, while Obrador was for a while scared of Trump, he has utter contempt for the bumbling Biden administration in general, and, in particular, for an enfeebled Joe Biden himself. On a recent Biden trip to Mexico, Obrador beamed as he was filmed personally propping up a shaky Biden as he descended from the stage.

In Obrador’s view, any country that would open wide its border, welcome in 10 million foreign nationals, without legal sanction, without audit, without even processing, deserves the contempt he extends to it.

Just as he scans the world stage and sees Biden’s humiliating exit from Afghanistan, its passive response to serial Iranian-fueled terrorist attacks on American installations in the Middle East, and its passivity when China launched a spy balloon over the U.S., so too, like other American belligerents, Obrador feels Biden’s America is now there for the taking. Thus his emboldened threats that no Mexican president of the past has ever leveled.

Finally, what can the U.S. do to reestablish its sovereignty and remind Mexico that its belligerency, its export of deadly f******l, its deliberate sandbagging of U.S. i*********n l*w, its alliances with America’s worst enemies, and its greenlighting of the Mexican cartels’ anti-American, t***sborder mayhem all have existential consequences?

So what should the next president do to restore mutual respect and cooperation between our once amicable two countries? Five easy steps.

Quietly finish the wall across the entire border.
Begin deporting to Mexico the ten million i*****l a***ns who have unlawfully entered and resided in the U.S. over the last three years. Let Mexico disperse them to their countries of origin.
Tax at 10% the $60 billion in remittances that annually flow into Mexico from the U.S. Remittances are Obrador’s largest source of foreign exchange and made possible only by American state and federal governments’ subsidization of Mexican national residents, that in turn frees them to send billions back home to Mexico.
Declare the cartels international terrorist organizations. Begin sanctioning all Mexican banks, corporations, and known Mexico officials that traffic and do business with the cartels.
Deploy the U.S. military to the border, not merely to create deterrence and aid the border patrol, but to end all cartel entry into the United States and to stop all unauthorized cross-border intrusions by Mexican paramilitaries.
Do all that, and paradoxically, Obrador will begin praising the U.S. and ask once again to cooperate in restoring a secure border.

Like so many passive-aggressive bullies, Obrador respects the strong adversaries he slanders but he has utter contempt for the weak leaders he praises.
