I don't remember the the full joke but i will never forget those seals, and it brings tears to my eyes every time i hear a seal dies. obumer and hellary need to answer for their lies and the death of Glen Doherty and Tyrone Woods.

BTDT. 4 years on a Gator ship doing landing exercises with Fleet Marines mostly in Vieques, Puerto Rico or San Salvador. We used the ship's boats, LCVPs and LCMs (Landing Craft, Vehicle, Personnel and Landing Craft Mechanized.)
I was also the Engineman on board. The troops had it rough. Climbing down cargo nets with full packs and weapon to the boat which might be bouncing 30-40 feet.
After getting on board the boat, the trip to the beach often with attendant sea-sickness and then wading in sometimes in chest deep water to dry land.
No wonder we use choppers to insert troops now.
Yes, on the Seals and Semper Fi for the Corp.

Nope. 'Sub'marine same as 'under' Marine. 'Under' same as 'less than'. 'Less than' is not Marine. Sorry, you don't get. Only 'standard' Marine qualifies and only then if he answers the question correctly. Woe betide the Marine who fails the question. 'Sides, you Navy, you got the drink. Not as secret as the noise, not as hard-core as the tool is for the Army, or as profound as the word is for the Air Force, but it's all you got.

There's a reason the Navy don't get to know about the noise, the tool or the word, because the Navy don't know how to keep a secret. Case in point, everybody knows about the drink. That's an exclusively Navy thing yet the whole world knows about it.

I couldn't even cut you slack and ask the question because that's against the rule and if I break the rule, SSGT Good USMC will be obliged to k**l me on sight to defend the noise. You see how this could get out of hand?

Dems/libs have been living in "fantasyland" for so long, they think it should continue. They don't (or can't) understand how the "real" world works. In the famous words of Forest Gump: Stupid is as stupid does!

Certainly won't argue with 'stupid'. But in fairness to certain people who might appear stupid. There are lots of people who forever look for the 'good' in everyone and can't comprehend that some people aren't as they appear. I have seen this in people who look at the medical profession as 'God related' when in actuality they are in this to make a buck. This is not to say they are universally crooks because there are many good doctors. I am simply speaking of those misguided folks who think they make no mistakes. Ditto, the clergy. Not singling out priests over pastors. Just the concept because they are 'men of God' they are 100% right on. They are human like the rest of us.
Persons who believe and are confident the government is right or there to help you belong here too.
I have found it is generally so 'good' folks have a problem seeing faults in others. Maybe that is commendable but sure leaves one open to a lot of surprises.
I'm sure others have seen this trait in people. The refrain "They wouldn't do that" doesn't fly. Maybe ignorant is a better word than stupid. Learning the degree of cynicism and when to apply it might be in order.

Looking through 82 year old eyes, I read several blogs and respond to a few.
I have wondered for ages what has caused the changes that I see. Generally speaking, don't people care any more? I am well aware that it isn't the end of the world but the spelling and sentence structure are atrocious.
Quickly, let me say, I am not the grammar monitor on here or anywhere else but stick this out there merely looking for input from others.
My very unprofessional opinion is an increase in visual projections like TV and movies and a decrease in reading and letter writing as communication tools.
Lost is the ability to spot spelling errors instantly. Learning the 8 parts of speech and the ability to parse verbs are lost arts. A friend told me those items aren't even taught in school any more. They were a large part of the school learning process when I attended. Attitude and the expectations of parents, students and teachers were very important as well. I was sent to school to learn and there was no discussion, and no excuses. It was the way it was. Report cards were issued and dealt with. We would take great p***e in not missing a day of school for the whole school year. Band, sports and other outside activities did not cut into class room time.
Similar to calculators and computers sort of negate the need for multiplication tables and how to lay out a math problem for solving. What percentage of people do you guess could subtract one date from another, for instance.

What does anyone else see as a detriment to learning?

The answer? There isn't one for us but maybe we would expect something better for the grand and great grand children

I had a little problem following the thread because it tended to wander a bit .
To satisfy myself as to what it is all about, I used my Google-Matic and located this little gem.
Try it, you will love it. And this is just math.

Linda-I like the idea of returning education to the States but would love to see the teachers' union become a thing of the past. In fact I would like to see all public sector unions disbanded. I wonder if teachers in " Right to Work" States have to join the union in order to teach in that State ? America First !!!

Here in Wisconsin, when it was 'closed shop' they did. When we went 'right to work' they were the loudest protesters/complainers. Also dumping them resulted in saving a nice chunk of change. The other 49 states should take note. Totally agree on public sector union disbanding. Might also dump professionals. Athletes, nurses, doctors, airline pilots,Hollywood freaks, etc. If you are knocking down big bucks, why do you need a union? Be your own negotiator. You don't need some union rep talk for you. Maybe if you really worked, management would be aware of it and pay raises would be automatic. Am happy to say, I never needed someone to negotiate any of my pay raises. And yes, I was forced to belong to unions until promoted to management.Oh happy day!

This is a disturbing story about a nasty criminal.. Misconstrued in the post, but a nasty event in anyones view..

This was however reported sometime last summer or even the previous one? not sure, time runs quickly for us geezers.

This rotten man murdered two other men, then he cut of the heads and hands to make ID harder.. he even knocked out teeth for the same reason..

What kind of people do this? Hoods and thugs...

Not death by beheading as the headline would have us believe, but an attempt to hide the identity of the victims.. Why was that? No mention of it in the story..

I read the teeth were beaten out with a tire iron. That along with removal of hands to prevent identification. I don't consider it is up to the inmates of a prison to eliminate these undesirables.

H*****g, firing squad by those in power in the country as opposed to selling us down the creek. Bring back faith in the country's leadership by leaders earning it. Don't even try to suggest the death penalty is not a deterrent. It does wonders to prevent a repeat by these perps. Others will catch on in time.

Break out your Google-matic and find out all the progress Islam has made over the centuries. Compare that with what the US has done since independence from Europe.( Don't forget, the England is part of Europe.)
Considering the Middle East, it appears the UAE has most growth and suspect this done mostly with bucks from their oil sales. Can you imagine what the US could look like if we didn't import a couple million barrels of crude a day and send the dollars to the Middle East?
It isn't that we don't have oil. Failure to develop and use it is largely due to misguided ''environmentalists" and other mentalists.

Try to imagine how Europe is going to resemble the Middle East in a generation or so. Then imagine how we are going to resemble Europe if we don't stop the invasion.

If there are those among you who wish this for America, let me suggest you pick up and go over there now and get a head start on your head loss. Islam doesn't like Infidels remember.

I really sympathize with the un concerned females that are in for one hell of a surprise under Sharia Law. Men not so much because they are expendable. "Convert or die". The ladies will be kept because they have something of value. Just wait, you will be so cute in your latest styles, bikinis, low cut bras, newest hair colors and styles all under your burquas.
And don't waste your time arguing these points with me. Better you should be writing/calling your elected officials and have them support the vetting of those who seek 'asylum' in the US.

how much trash went into landfills to clean up after the protesters? Why is no one talking about the "carbon footprint" generated by protesters with all of the printed and hand painted posters and the fuel required by the trash trucks to haul it all away? The environmental protests of the DAPL protesters created acres and acres of trash and damaged the protest site.

Might even read up on miscarriage. If the fetus dies for wh**ever cause yhen the mother's body rejects the dead tissue. If the fetus does not die either from a******n or another reason, he/she is born and begins putting their little lungs to work to provide oxygen. They also get hungry and then we provide food, diaper changes, etc. Any questions?
