Rumi, do you have any idea how many times you have created a thread on this same subject? You know exactly the kind of responses that you are going to receive. I guess you’ve heard that Biden is down to 37% approval! It doesn’t look good for the poor old senile man! All I can say is……………Let’s go Brandon!

Couldn't tell ya, I'm not from NYC Live in NC now and we got plenty of both and more, bears, wild boars, and lots of snakes, the ones that fall on you from the trees. good times, LOL As a matter of fact my horse got bit by a rattler, thank God the vet was able to come right out, saved her for sure. BIG bite.

Being from Texas, we have lots of rattlesnakes. I grew up on a ranch and it wasn’t unusual for animals to get bit by a snake, especially our dogs. My Daddy raised greyhounds and they would fight the snakes. The only dog we ever lost was our little miniature border collie who got in the middle of one of those fights. Two of our greyhounds were also bit before Daddy could get between the snake and the dogs. The snake was a big one! My mare was bitten on the lip one time, her lip swelled, but she was fine after a few days. We were too poor to take one of our animals to the vet for a simple snake bite! I don’t know……are Texas animals tougher or are Texas rattlesnakes wimps……..tis a conundrum? 🤷🏻‍♀️😂

China has approved the removal of the two-term limit on the presidency, effectively allowing Xi Jinping to remain in power for life.

The constitutional changes were passed by the annual sitting of parliament, the National People's Congress.
The v**e was widely regarded as a rubber-stamping exercise. Two delegates v**ed against the change and three abstained, out of 2,964 v**es.
China had imposed a two-term limit on its president since the 1990s.
But Mr Xi, who would have been due to step down in 2023, defied the tradition of presenting a potential successor during October's C*******t Party Congress.
Instead, he consolidated his political power as the party v**ed to enshrine his name and political ideology in the party's constitution - elevating his status to the level of its founder, Chairman Mao.
On paper, the congress is the most powerful legislative body in China - similar to the parliament in other nations. But it was widely believed that it would approve what it was told to.

Analysis by Stephen McDonell, BBC China correspondent in Beijing

It is now hard to see Xi Jinping being challenged in any way whatsoever.

He has amassed power the likes of which has not been seen since Chairman Mao Zedong.

Only five years ago Beijing was being ruled by a collective leadership. Under ex-President Hu Jintao you could imagine differing views being expressed in the then nine-member Politburo Standing Committee.
There was a feeling that Mr Hu needed to please various factions within the C*******t Party and it seemed that every 10 years a new leader would come along with their own people in a process of smooth t***sition.
From today all this has gone.

The constitution has been altered to allow Xi Jinping to remain as president beyond two terms and they would not have gone to this much trouble if that was not exactly what he intended to do.
There has been no national debate as to whether a leader should be allowed to stay on for as long as they choose. Quietly but surely Xi Jinping has changed the way his country is governed, with himself well and truly at the core.

We got a kick out of the LA line when we first moved here 2 years ago! We had intended to do a lot more exploring the neighboring states, but C***D changed everything! Fishing is about all we’ve done. I don’t go on the “far” jaunts, I have a terrible problem with seasickness……AND, I really don’t like being too far from land! 🤗 Otherwise, I love to fish. It’s been a lot of fun to spend these 2 years of total retirement with my husband and lots of memories made with our kids, grandkids, and great grandkids when they came to vacation land, as they call it! I think you need to circle back to this one liner! It had nothing to do with the correct “spelling” of the word, it was the correct usage of manner versus manor! I doubt JR-57 had a problem with spelling manner! He seems to be quite efficient in his writing sk**ls. IMO! We all make mistakes……right CD! 👍

BTW! I saw no evidence of anyone “getting” to Permie! He seemed to be holding his own! 😎

You know when I made the off-handed remark of “Xi for life” and you told me that it doesn’t work that way…….I then declared my interest of what the heck you were talking about by stating that I was all ears! https://asia.nikkei.com/Politics/China-s-top-leaders-set-stage-for-extended-Xi-rule-with-15-year-plan

BEIJING -- The Chinese C*******t Party's top policy-setting body is expected to discuss long-term plans, the likes of which have not been seen in a quarter-century, at the plenary session that began Monday.

China's official Xinhua News Agency reported the start of the fifth plenum of the 19th Central Committee, which is scheduled to run through Thursday. Officials will discuss not only the country's 14th five-year plan starting next year, which is typical for the fifth plenum after each twice-a-decade party congress, but also -- more unusually -- targets for 2035.

China watchers see it as laying the groundwork for President Xi Jinping to stay in office for years to come.

This will mark the first appearance of 15-year plans at a plenum since the 1995 gathering presided over by then-General Secretary Jiang Zemin, which set both economic and defense goals for 2010. The latter are seen as a factor in why Jiang stayed on as chairman of the Central Military Commission, which oversees the People's Liberation Army, for nearly two years after Hu Jintao succeeded him as party leader in 2002.

This time around, Xi may use such long-term planning "as a steppingstone toward staying in office for the long run," a diplomatic source in Beijing speculated.

As an approximate halfway point to the 100th anniversary of the founding of modern China in 2049, 2035 has become a focal point for planning under Xi. The government has laid out economic plans and development goals with an eye toward that year.

Michael Hirson, practice head for China and Northeast Asia at Eurasia Group, wrote in a note Friday that the plenum will mark the introduction of "China's most geopolitical five-year plan" to date, reflecting Xi's drive to increase China’s self-reliance in terms of demand as well as supply. He called the 2021-2026 five-year plan as "best thought of as the first five years in a 15-year agenda," as Xi seeks to stay in power after 2022.

"In the pre-Xi era, the fifth plenum was part of the process of t***sitioning to the next generation of leadership," Hirson said, noting that the implementation of the five-year plan would fall on the next leader. "But Xi’s ambitions to stay on for a third term in 2022 have changed the role and significance of this meeting," he said.

China watchers are keeping an eye out for high-level appointments at this week's gathering that could signal an upcoming t******r of p***r. Back in 2010, Xi's status as leader-in-waiting was cemented with his se******n as vice chairman of the Central Military Commission at the 2010 plenum.

Typically, based on the unwritten rule that top C*******t Party officials step down at the next once-in-five-years party congress after turning 68, Xi would be expected to cede leadership at the 2022 meeting, when he will be 69. Yet no likely successors emerged at the last party congress in 2017.

Should this state of affairs continue at the fifth plenum, that would indicate that Xi is angling to stay in power beyond 2022.

Jiang and Hu both stepped down after two five-year terms, as required by the constitution. But the charter was revised in 2018 to eliminate p**********l term limits, opening the door to a third term for Xi.

The plenum will wrap up Thursday with recommendations for the five-year program and longer-term goals. Based on past precedent, it is likely that only an outline will be made public that day, with the full text and Xi's explanation released several days later. The numerical targets that market watchers are waiting for are expected to be included in the full version.

Oh, and your other informative one liner statement and question………No, I’m not enraged! 😅😂🤣
