Listen I was educated in public school and was not brainwashed. Not long after graduatring from high school I became a conservative libertairian and regesterd Republican. I'm embarrased to admit it took me 30 years to wake up and smell the coffey and realize I had been v****g all those years against the economic interest of my childern and grand children. It wasn't much longer I realized the Republican party was being taken over by the crazies.

Lest we forget, during your attempt to reinterpret history to suit your biases, it was Democrats who created Jim Crow laws, and Republicans who opposed them. Fifty years ago the US was ranked either first or in the top five in math and various sciences. Today we are ranked from 17th to 20th place. Most of the decline occurred after the creation of the Department of Education (more accurately, the Department of Tenure and Pay Raises for Teachers and Screw the Students ), in 1977.
Pick five high school students today. Seniors. Ask them to diagram a sentence. Give them a pen and paper and ask them to extract a simple square root. Ask them to convert a decimal to a fraction. Have them write a paper without spell check. (Or with it, for that matter ). The spelling and grammar would have embarrassed a fifth grader fifty years ago. The tasks I just enumerated were taught to 5th, 6th and 7th graders forty-five and fifty years ago. Now college students are clueless. Liberals did this, not conservatives.
Lest we forget, during your attempt to reinterpret... (show quote)

Let we forget it was conservative southern Democrats that created Jim Crow they we known as Dixie -crats The Democratic party had been the conservative party of the south from the time of the struggle of the over whether the new nation should governed by a strong central government (The Federalist's) Or by The Articles of Confederation (the anti federalist states rightists) The northern wig party morphed into the Republican party by 1856. It was following the civil rights act of 1964 passed by progressives in both parties and v**ed against by conservatives in both parties and signed into law by LBJ that the republican party led by Richard Nixon and Barry Goldwater, devised a strategy they called their southern strategy to encourage the Dixie crats in to the Republican party (in 2004 Ken Melman appoligized to the NCAAP for ignoring b****s and exploiting racial conflicts) Long story short yes Democrats created Jim Crow but these were southern conservative Democrats. By the 1970's the longtime conserrvative party based in the south hads become the progressive partry based in the north and the progresive Republicsan party of freedom based in the north had become the conservative party based i nthe south. This process had it's begginings in 1896 the two parties had switched places by 1936 except in the south where they couldn't bear to think of v****g for thre party of ABE Lincoln until the civil rights acts of the 19560's

LBJ was concerned was concerned that his endorsment would deliver the south to the Republican for a very long time. Richard Nikson saw the cracks in the solid south and an opprtunity to tap into v**er'shat had been beyoned the reach of the Republican party. in 1968 the south went solid for either George Wallace the Georgia segragationst or Nixon.

Down to my level?
I'm a retrired Construction Contractor. son of tennant farmers during the great Depression. The FDR New Deal of the 1930's gave my generation a hand up not a hand out. I was able to buy the kind of homes I worked on thanks to union pay and eventually barrow from the equity to start my own buisness and become a capitalist pig too. The New Deal gave me a hand up not a hand out, an oppertunity to work hard for decent pay. And build a decent retirement unlike the old day;s when working people just got old and died in their tar paper shacks

Republicans and conservatives have unwound most of the New Deal over the last 30-35 years
we have now reverted to the past when any increase in productivity is distributed to the modern aristocracy the Corporate excutives and the conservatives who blindly support them

lest we froget it was southern conservatives that created Jim Crow law. Conservative ideas on education would be welcome if they had an idea other than school vouchers which equates to witholding tax dollars from the public system.

Conservatives have worked to undermine public education since the US Supreme Court removed religious coercion from the public school class room 50 years ago. The idea public f education was invented right here in the US. and some of our greatest citizens were educated in our public schools. And h**e? ? you want to talk about h**e ? This article is a complete crock
First of all Atheist are not God H**ers. How dose one h**e something they don't believe exit's. There is a lot more to science than an 8th grade science class many years ago. A veritable Mt. Everest of evidence, offers proof of more and more, and scientific progress has been moving an ever quickening pace especially in the field of Genetics. Scientific theory is accepted science. Scientific theory starts as hypothesis, only through observation, experimentation, and substantial corroborating evidence does hypothesis become Theory which his accepted Science.

Science cannot and dose not attempt to prove that God doesn't exist only that given the preponderance of evidence it is highly unlikely that whoever or what ever is responsible for the existence of the Universe could possibly know of our existence let alone be listening to our prayers, guiding destiny and preparing a mansion in the sky for us. The preponderance of Scientific evidence indicates that Religions. All religions are a man made contrivance. Invented thousands of years ago by human beings who were completely ignorant as to how the natural world worked, and thought they were living in a supernatural world and what they were witnessing no man had the power to create so it had to be a god that dun it. What other explanation was there. Only a supernatural demon could create something out of nothing.

We will never probably know how life began on Earth but we know that organic and inorganic molecules, water and all of the basic elements for life is present in the vast reaches of the Universe and that the Universe is a time machine the further out we see into the Universe the further back in time. We are now able to see when the first stars were lighting up and the first galaxy's were forming 13 and a half billion years ago. And there is lot's of proof for instance that Whales dolphins sea lions and other sea going mammals were land mammals with four legs but returned to the sea a lost their back legs and front legs became flippers.

While creathionist complain that there aren't any t***sitional fosdsils they are mistaken there a great number of them and more and more are being found as an army of Palentologist's are constantly digging in the earths crust for clues to it's history. When we look at the sides of the grand canyon we are looking at 2 billion years of the 4.6 billion year history of the earth just like a layer cake

Yes Augusto Pinochete was a right wing dictator who was helped in o*******wing the Democratically elected Salvadore Allende in 1973. The p**********l palace was being bombed when Allende said goodbye to his nation over the radio and then comitted suicide. Pinochete imprisoned thousands of his opposition in the foot ball stadium them dissapeared them over the comming months. All of this was backed by the American CIA at the direction of Richard Nixon and Henry Kissinger. The economic advisors flown to Chille from the US were referred to as the Chicago Boy's. Milton Friedman was an economic professor at the University of Chicago his economic theory is reffered to as Neo-Liberral economic theroy, Classical theroy, Thatcherism, Reaganomics, and trickle down.

It is rooted in Austrian economic theroy as espoused by Libertairians, Lugwig Von Mises, Friedrick Von Hayek and popularized by the late Milton Friedman the most influencial economist of the seconed half of the 20th century. Basically it entailes banning all government intervention in economic matters and go dog eat dog so called free market darwinism survival of the fittest.

Chile was the petri dish of experiment of these theory's and the average Chilean citizen was devastated by them with the wealth of the nation accruing to the top 20 % the wealthiest and impoverishing half the population. The video is of Allende's farewell speach to his people. Pinochete fled into exile in 1987, Democratic rule returned, and social programs were re-established by 2012 poverty had fallen from 40-45% in 1987 to !4.7 % today

How can buying power outpace price increases? It doesn't happen just cause you say it will.

Every penny paid in salaries, is factored into the cost of goods and every penny increase in cost is passed on to consumers with profit added on. That is how business determines prices. There is no way that buying power can outpace price increases. You are dreaming. What you are stating is a belief, not economic reality.

prices are not based on cost. They are based on what ever the traffic will bear. In SF Bay Area in the 1980's the Republicans successfully crushed the housing construction unions and by 1992 $7.50 per hr in Health,Vacation, Pension, benefit's had been wiped out . But housing prices continued to climb. Where did that $7.50 per $15 thousand per year go ? In who's pocket ? in 1962 every housing construction worker could afford to buy a starter home, by 1992 none could. Today homes are built only for the wealthy and affluent The workers mostly immigrants living two, three families to a two bedroom rented house in the barrio.

there was little economic growth in Chile from 1975 until to 1982 after the catastrophic banking crises of 1982 the state controlled more of the economy than before the 1973 c**p de'etat that ended 48 years of Democracy. The Miracle of Chile a term invented by Milton Friedman actually produced chronic inflation reaching high's of 140 % per year producing poverty between 40 to 45 % . Once the people regained Democratic rule and revived social polices economic growth resumed poverty began to decline. since 1990 the poverty rate in Chile dxeclined to 14.7 % by 2012. Income distribution is a 52 on a scale od 24.7 for Denmark most equal and 74.3 of Namibia the most unequally distributed.

Straight from the horses mouth no less. First of all Charles and David didn't found Koch Industries their father Fred did, Fred was a cofounder of the John Birch Society. Charles and David inherited the business and bought their other siblings out. They like their father spend millions in an effort to advanced Libertarianism. A political and economic theory that's failed every where it's been tried. The People of Chile were the first Guinea pigs of this nonsense. The Democratically elected priminister Allende was o*******wn in 1973 by a CIA backed C**p and the right wing dictator was installed a plane load of Chicago school Milton Friedmanites were flown into assist in privatizing every thing but the Copper Mines . With in 10 years the former national banks were bankrupt. and by the time Pinochete was forced out poverty had risen from 20 % to 40 % of the population. Libertarianism is not practical in reality it is just wishfull thinking it wouldf work if all human beings were perfect.

That is because the Republican party is the party of upward mobility and the Democrats are for creating a class system. That is why they pay the poor to stay poor and then give kick backs to the rich while the Republicans try to reduce needless rules designed to just keep the status quo.

Of course, Democrats are either to complacent to care to check this out or rich enough to know where their bread is buttered so they just accept and repeat wh**ever their fearless leaders tell them to.

More mythical wishfull thinking statistics. less than 10 % of Americans have ever given a donation to any politician for any office. The money that really pays for e******ns comes from big donars not little ones for both parties.
