The Facts:

A U.S. drone attack k**led 30 pine nut farmers and wounded at least 40 others in Afghanistan Wednesday night, the latest k*****g of innocent civilians by American forces as the "war on terror" enters its 19th year.

The farmers had just finished work and were sitting by a fire when the strike happened, according to tribal elder Malik Rahat Gul.

Reteurs reported that there may be more farmers missing:

Haidar Khan, who owns the pine nut fields, said about 150 workers were there for harvesting, with some still missing as well as the confirmed dead and injured.

A survivor of the drone strike said about 200 laborers were sleeping in five tents pitched near the farm when the attack happened.

In a statement, Colonel Sonny Leggett, the spokesman for the U.S. campaign in Afghanistan, said the attack was aimed at "Da’esh (IS) terrorists in Nangarhar" province.

"We are aware of allegations of the death of non-combatants and are working with local officials to determine the facts," said Leggett.

However, Leggett said, the blame for the massacre is squarely on IS and the Taliban — not U.S. forces.

"We are fighting in a complex environment against those who intentionally k**l and hide behind civilians, as well as use dishonest claims of noncombatant casualties as propaganda weapons," Leggett said.

The Questions:

1. Who is responsible for the death of 30 innocent civilians, and the wounding of at least 40 more, the US who bombed the civilians, or IS and the Taliban who the US states "to hide behind civilians"?

2. Why is the US still fighting in Afghanistan after 19 years, and do you feel this action is defending our country from military attack by Afghanistan?

3. Picture your husband, brother, or son as one of the dead or injured. How do you think the people of Afghanistan view the US? Let me re-phrase that. If Afghanistan occupied the US for the past 19 years, with the end result of so many civilian deaths and destruction, how would you regard the US?

There are several OPP cons who are always pointing out anything that a liberal or democrat does that offends them, and it is no surprise that they overlook everything a conservative, white christian evangelical republican does, such as this sleaze ball who was arrested and resigned from office, because he is guilty, and his mouthpiece lawyer will come up with a defense of mental illness or some such.

But the usual cons like spino, pr, blade, smelly roadk**l, larrygina and a few others, continue to post lie after lie, and constantly name call and make personal attacks on anyone who has a different point of view than they do.

So damn typical

No it is not the crazy anti choice laws passed by right wing nutters. It’s thanks to the ACA otherwise known as Obamacare.

The number and rate of a******ns fell to their lowest levels since a******n became legal nationwide with 1973's Roe v. Wade ruling, the Guttmacher Institute reported Wednesday. The research group, said it counted 863,000 a******ns carried out in the U.S. in 2017, down from 926,000 in 2014 and just over 1 million in 2011. The Guttmacher Institute is the most reliable count of U.S. a******ns, because unlike the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, it aims to tally all pregnancies terminated in the country.
A******ns fell in all areas of the country, with 57 percent of the drop in the 18 states, plus the District of Columbia, that did not enact any a******n restrictions, the Guttmacher Institute found. The 400 state laws restriction a******n were not a big factor in the decline, but the drop in pregnancies appeared to be significant. The birth rate also declined during the period studied, and a likely factor in both drops, the report said, is the increased accessibility of contraception since the Affordable Care Act required most private health insurance plans to offer no-cost birth control in 2011.

I am one who can call my self part of the right people if I wished.
I say wish to stress that we need to have a system that has room for all.
As a older white male in the past I just accepted my white privileges' with out question.
At about six years old. (!942-43 I saw a colored lady drink from a water bubbler that was mark colored next to one that was marked white. The first colored person I had ever seen.
After the lady left I went & took a drink from both faucets.
I could not tell any difference

I just went home to my white roots.
This has stuck with me through the years.

At about 22 years old I went for a job interview:
I don't recall seeing any white faces.
Just lots of black faces.
Many just milling around outside.
People went in & people came out.
I questioned my self for hang around. But I did & my turn came & they took me in for a physical & told me I had a job.

I was greatly relived to find I was called in for a difference job for the next day. One that was hiring both black & white.
So I had a job.

Late in the year I was drafted into the army. Where my whiteness lead to a job in a personnel office of a Battalion. One day a black person showed up to be a part of the offices. He just was gone in a flash.
I had not had the training for that job & the black man did.

I am not clear in just how & when the issue became an issue for me.
I will just say that I try to treat every one I meet with respect.

I am faced with some in my own family that I feel sure do not agree with me.

For what ever it is worth we need to treat each other with the respect we wish to receive from others..

I just feel that there needs to be room in our system where all have a chance to be an effective part of the whole.
