The reason Black culture has not done as well as others is this:

The plantation owners were very afraid of s***e uprisings. Early on, they deduced that they could make people more passive by breaking up tribes and families, making it difficult for people to communicate to plan a r*******n. A major part of their subjugation strategy outlawed the teaching of reading, so that the s***es could not get necessary information.

Throw in systematic rapes, whippings, and lynchings and you have the total degrading of any cohesive culture that indigenous Africans could rely on. Follow that with a century of Jim Crow laws and you have a formula for much tragedy.

Many are hoping the rise of President Obama, with his very strong family life, may signal some turning of the tide of a damaged culture caused by incredible subjugation and oppression.

Republicans have not changed. They still show a major fondness for blaming the victim. Americans know this. Its part of why we have elected Barack Obama, twice, to the highest office in the land. The Republicans still can't believe this has happened to their "fatherland".

I think both O.J. AND Zimmerman were
guilty. They are both control freaks with strong needs to bully and intimidate other people. If you look at how these 2 men treated other people (beyond their victims) you get some insight into their grossly inflated sense of entitlement. I have little doubt that either of them were anything more than arrested adolescents who had never progressed beyond being school yard bullies.


OJ did eventually reap what he sowed. Zimmerman is in that process right now.

You can't reason with liberals, you can't educate them, you can't be nice to them. Hell you surely can't ignore them. But let's be fair there are some liberals that have some good ideas. Do not put them in a class with those who just want the Government to coddle them for the mistakes they have made. However I think some are realizing that a free ride is never free.

There will come a day that they will starve just like the millions in North Korea and China. What will they do then. What they do best sit on there ass and let you and I pay for them. I don't know about the rest of you but I am done paying there way. I will help any person who will help themselves. I have respect for the person who is out collecting cans and recyclables at least hes is trying.

After zimmerman and dunn beat the rap, it seems that the "stand your ground" laws are NOT applied equally.

Why, you ask? Giles is black, zimmie and dunn are white.

I don't support your statement that government needs to own "everything", wh**ever you mean by that, but the reality is this country is different today than when it was founded, for many reasons. Technology being one of the main drivers of the changing paradigm.
Too many conservatives rant about the evils of government, yet seem to forget that every police department, fire department, road services, the military, schools, parks, highways are all part of socialism. Everyone who pays taxes pays for these services, and everyone has the right to use them.
Each of us has priorities, so I support the above, plus healthcare, SS and other social services, and I care less about taxes, gun rights, military interventions, space exploration. I am undecided on the proper way to handle immigration reform, and would gladly support restrictions on all immigration for a period of years.
I support unions, higher wages and most EPA regulations regarding working place safety, and most regarding the environment.
I am opposed to unregulated banking, out-sourcing, trade treaties like Nafta, Cafta, etc.
Most posters complain about about liberals giving everything away, but fail to see corporate welfare and business tax abatements as give-aways. I oppose both of those concepts.

Do you libs even think before you post ? Much less do research ? Conservatives don't 'want dirty water'. We have children and grandchildren to look out for too. We just have faith that the earth has always cleansed itself, with man's help, and always will. We know that industry has come a long way towards self-monitoring. We know that the USA has been the leader in reducing pollution. The earth was created FOR mankind. The animals and plants are here for our enjoyment and use. And we know how to maintain all life.
