Rats have plagued human civilization from the very beginning, pilfering food stores and proliferating diseases such as the Bubonic Plague.

Many cities have even put together entire entities to tackle rats due to the immense problems that rats can bring.

And New York City’s rat problem has taken a d********g turn for the worse.

New York City has always had a rat problem, however as the city becomes more congested and unhygienic, this problem has become increasingly prevalent.

In fact, New York City’s rat problem has gotten so bad that Mayor Eric Adams has created a rat task force, designed to find ways to control the Big Apple’s rat population.

A recent report shows that unless this rat task force does its job, deadly diseases could continue to spread through New York City via rats.

More specifically, the report found that out of the 24 people sickened with leptospirosis, a serious disease that spreads through rat urine, 5 were New York City garbagemen.

If leptospirosis goes untreated then it can lead to major liver damage and kidney failure.

New York’s ABC 7 addressed this outbreak on Wednesday, saying “Last year’s rate of 24 cases in the city was the highest number in a single year. Six cases have been reported so far this year, the city’s Department of Health and Mental Hygiene said in an April 12 health advisory.”

The local television station also added, “That is compared to the last two decades, where there was an average of three cases per year. Leptospirosis is spread by bacteria in the urine of infected Norway rats, also called brown rats, who dominate the rodent population in New York City.”

As New York City becomes more cramped and overrun with homeless people and i*****l a***ns, diseases such as leptospirosis have spread rapidly.

The bottom line is that sanitation workers cannot keep up with the significant amount of filth that covers the streets of the Big Apple, causing serious and deadly problems for New Yorkers.

New York’s filth problem has helped to convince thousands of New Yorkers and business owners to leave the Big City in favor of places with better hygienic standards.

A federal appellate court in Richmond became the first in the country to rule that state health-care plans must pay for g****r-affirming surgeries, a major win for t*********r rights amid a nationwide wave of anti-t***s activism and legislation.
The decision came from a set of cases out of North Carolina and West Virginia, where state officials argued that their policies were based on cost concerns rather than bias. The U.S. Court of Appeals for the 4th Circuit rejected that argument, saying the plans were discriminating against t***s people in need of treatment.
Judge Roger L. Gregory, an appointee of President Clinton, wrote for the majority that the restrictions were “obviously discriminatory” based on both sex and g****r.
“In this case, discriminating on the basis of diagnosis is discriminating on the basis of g****r identity and sex,” Gregory wrote, because “g****r dysphoria is so intimately related to t*********r status as to be virtually indistinguishable from it.”
The majority ruled that West Virginia’s policy also violated the Affordable Care Act’s anti-discrimination provision, a finding that has broad implications for other states’ Medicaid programs.
