OK, we haven't yet reached a consensus, but the gap is closing.
"But why shouldn't they support their own self interest with their own funding? Would you v**e for someone who would cut your throat?"But if the government wasn't so generous with their (just kidding, our) money, the "non-profit" organization might have to spend that money now used to influence lawmakers to actually provide the services they brag so much about. I thought the original idea behind creating a charitable organization was to serve those targeted as in need, although I admit that PP is not alone in spending a good part of the budget fund-raising, buying influence, and burnishing their image.
"Are you more in favor of executing the life of the mother and possible mother to other children because that's the condition under a******ns by PP."Of course not, but if you expect me to believe that those are the only a******ns "provided" you must be smokin' the good stuff.
"A martyr is also someone who is passivist, which I am not, this also confirms not being a martyr."Although many martyrs were passive, many were also martyred because they fought against establishments. I don't consider Joan of Arc passive, or the members of St Patrick's Battalion, or Nathan Hale, or Athanasios Diakos. Throughout all of history, people who fought bravely for a cause or an idea have been martyred.
"Yes as my children can thank me, especially at 43."OK, here I'm guessing you're sharing your age. If it's the number of children, then my guess would be you're somewhere in Utah? Lol.
My bottom line is that one of the reasons we cannot balance a budget is because they give too much money to too many causes that should be wholly supported by the public. Planned Parenthood or NRA or NPR or the Arts or wh**ever. Stop it. Then maybe they can spend more money on important issues like:
- $175,587 âto determine if cocaine makes Japanese quail engage in sexually risky behaviorâ.
- $200,000 on âa tattoo removal programâ in Mission Hills, California.
- $30 million on a program that was designed to help Pakistani farmers produce more mangos.
- $700,000 to help the University of New Hampshire study methane gas emissions from dairy cows. (yeah, that'd be cow farts)
- $615,000 for the University of California at Santa Cruz to digitize photos, T-shirts and concert tickets belonging to the Grateful Dead.
